July 2016 Brides (and Grooms)

That is it, we have paid everything we can. The only things left cannot be paid until the day.

Also just realised that next week is my last full week in work before the wedding!?

Same as Jen-Lou. All paid up except for those who want paying on the day. Next week is also my last full week and the office girls are taking me out to lunch next Friday as a pre wedding celebration. OH has his stag do this Friday but other than that I guess this is the calm bit before the madness begins.

Hey guys, hope all is going well. Tomorrow is our wedding month! ?

I'm finishing off the last payments too. Ordered our flowers yesterday (my aunt is doing them so we went to the wholesalers to get them).

Paid the reception venue today, everything with them is now finalised until the day before when we go to set up. Spent some time today emailing different suppliers to confirm everything as some of them we haven't been in touch with for months.

House is full of boxes - a box per table, box for outside things, inside decorations, etc etc. We will have so much space after the wedding!

Had my nails done yesterday to test the colour, tried on my dress with it to check it goes well - it does, so that's now all sorted and I'm having them redone on the Wednesday before the wedding so they should last for the honeymoon

I'm definitely at the point where I want the planning to be over. There's nothing to actually decide or on or buy any more so it's just packing stuff up, making lists, all the not so fun stuff!

Next week is my last full week at work too. That makes it sound really soon! (I guess it is really haha)

Time is flying, hope everyone is starting to feel ready

I think I only need to pay for chair covers and the cake balance. My to-do list is just full of the small odds and ends that we can tick off between now and the 29th.

My aunt is my florist too and she's flying over from Ireland tonight so that we can go to the flower market early doors tomorrow to order the flowers. I'm hoping for peonies if they're still in season, otherwise it'll be roses and hydrangeas in white and soft pink.

OH is off to Magaluf on his stag weekend tonight, and I'm having my 2nd hen do on Saturday - 21 of us out for dinner and drinks, should be fun! Then we will both be going into detox for the next 4 weeks!

I'm so excited!! Although still feels like ages compared to the rest of you. I will probably be rattling around here talking to myself for the 2nd half of July ?

ha ha ha.

Is anyone getting their Groom a wedding day gift? I'm undecided. I also want to get some handkerchiefs for me so I dont end up with snotty balls of paper tissues in my bag. They are just tricky to find.

I'm getting him a ring, just for him cos I don't want one and were not doing them at the wedding, I'm also going to frame a poem I want to give him

Ive broke up from work now and all my family are coming down this afternoon.

I've got him a goody bag of some small bits - socks, underwear, his cufflinks and tie pin. He knows he's got them so he didn't get any himself, but he doesn't know what they are. I also got him a 'geek box' but I think we are buying something bigger for each other while we're on honeymoon, as we've both struggled to know what to buy each other!

Not sure I am on the good luck thread - but if not I am getting married on the 11th, I saw the updated list didn't have me on it, so might be because I have been a little inactive lately!

Can't believe it is only 10 days away. I've just arrived back in the UK, as I am living overseas, so so much to organise in these last 10 days now.

Hen and stag do's now all done and out of the way. One full week at work left then it's the wedding week. I can't believe how the time is whizzing by. I've spent months wishing time away and now it's so close I want it to slow down LOL !

OMG you saying "next week" has just given me my first pang of nerves LOL!

I feel ready in the sense that we've had 2 years of planning and I can't wait for it to be over but not ready in that I still have a lot to do in terms of venue decorating etc and hope it all comes together without me forgetting anything!

I was just about to say "shut up, it's not next week" then looked at the calendar! ha ha.

I will feel ready after Saturday when I go to the last dress fitting.

I am at the point now where if something's not done, it's not getting done. There is only so much we can do and have to draw a line somewhere.

Got to say i'm looking forward to seeing our date groups reports and flashes (I hope you are planning on coming back and updating us ?)

I'm feeling the same, everything that can be done is done now, only thing left is the rehearsal next Wednesday.

Took my veil to my mums today so she can steam it a few times - found a little hole she seems to be fixing it with clear nail varnish, I think it's too late to get another as I would want to try it with my dress, and I don't know if I'd find another the same as the shop doesn't make more than one of each. Hopefully it looks okay - I'm sure nobody would notice anyway, just typical that this happens now!

I am planning to do a report I've avoiding posting much before the wedding in case anyone sees it who shouldn't, but I know others love a report like I do so I will be back! I agree, I can't wait to see the reports from the ladies from this thread

OMG I get married the day after tomorrow ????

it has gone SO fast and I still feel like I've got loads to do! It's an emotional roller coaster, going from chilled, to panic, to stress, to excited and back again by the hour! I figure if it's not done by now then it can't be that important and we can do without! Although I constantly feel like I've forgotten something! Still need to finish decorating the cake tomorrow ?

I think so! A few small bits to finish off but nothing major, and nothing that would matter if it didn't get done. Just trying to relax now

Well picked my dress up this morning, we picked up the suits this afternoon and the wedding rings. Very little left to do and we can't do it utility Thursday Friday. Can't believe this time next week well be married!

Picked up suit and my wedding ring, I've finished table cloths and my OH almost finished the post box he's making just needs another coat today. There's loads of food shopping and printing to do ans a few other bits like decorating the cake but we're both off now for 3 weeks so it will all get done.

It's finally here ... wedding week!!! Got such a busy week too. Finishing work on Wednesday and got beauty appointments Tuesday and Thursday evening and decorating our venue Friday. Family are flying in from Spain Thursday so I guess it's all systems go.

Been so busy with the wedding I'd almost forgotten the honeymoon next Tuesday. Oh well there's always Sunday and Monday to pack. Oh and travel money to get ....

I thought I was organised but not so sure now LOL!

This last week is really full on but SO EXCITING!

5 DAYS!!!!! 5 DAYS!!! ?

I finish on Wednesday too, at the moment i'm more looking forward to that, ha.

We have most of our running round to do on Thursday so we only have to check into the hotel and take all the stuff there on Friday. I think panic will hit me Friday. But I have my dress and lads have their suits and the girls their dresses. The legal bit is sorted, the food is all a go, so anything else doesn't really matter.

I also keep forgetting we are off the week after the wedding. We had to cancel our honeymoon so we are having a lovely week at home instead.

I'm feeling surprisingly calm at the moment. Tomorrow is my last day of work, maybe it'll kick in after then when I'm rushing around and have nothing else to focus on!

Wednesday I have my wax and nails booked, and the rehearsal is in the evening.

Thursday I'm having my eyelash extensions put on, then packing my bags for Friday/Saturday night.

Then Friday we are spending the day setting up the venue, going for a big group meal in the evening and giving out our gifts (not doing gifts on the day).

Not sure right now if I want the week to speed up or slow down!!

Hope you all have the most relaxing week you can manage I'll be around tomorrow but not sure about the rest of the week - I'll pop on Saturday morning I'm sure when I wake up way before everyone else ?

Ok you lovely lot, today is my last day in work, we have a few things to do over the next few days so will not really have chance to get back on here so I will sign off now. I will hopefully get on to check my good luck thread (I did spy one ? thanks) on Friday.
