Ohh can I add myself, we're getting married 16th July. Got venue, church,photographer, booked picking up bits and pieces and have been dresss shopping

Hiii everyone

I'm getting married on Sunday 31st July 2016. We picked that date as it's our regular anniversary and we wanted to keep that. So when we get married we'll have been together for 9 years!

So far I've booked the venue & catering, cake, ordered my dress, booked the photographer, photo booth and have some of the garden games sorted. We sent out the save the dates a couple of weeks ago which was fun. I'm currently working on doing an engagement website too so people can RSVP online when we send out the invites (or post the RSVP back as usual!). We also booked our honeymoon a couple of months ago, which I'm very excited about.

Seems like July is a super popular month! I noticed when we went to book the venue (in April) that most of July 2016 was booked up already.

I haven't posted on the July thread in ages. There seems to be so many 16th of July brides which is lovely.

I booked the hog roast, refrigerated trailer and plates today. I bought wedding insurance and i finished making the pew ends. I'm feeling really glad to have ticked some big items off the list.

So we sent our save the dates out last month and today out of the blue I had an email from my aunt to confirm that she will be coming. Only 10 and a half months in advance. Not sending official invites out until early next year. Oh well at least I know she's coming lol. Felt a bit weird like it's actually going to happen ha ha!

I've just joined the forums getting married Friday 29th July 2016.

So far we have booked ceremony venue, reception venue, cars, photographer, and little extras like canapes and chair covers/sashes. I have ordered my dress, and we've ordered favours. Tomorrow I'm making my invites As a school teacher I've managed to get lots sorted in the 6 weeks holidays and can see things slowing up a bit come September!

Even though ive sent out most of the save the dates and booked the hotel, it still doesn't feel real yet.

i want to get to January so i can say, im getting married this year lol

I keep thinking it's not till next year then have to remind myself it's 6 January! Lol come January it will fly by for all you July brides x

I hope so, the last year has flown by really but now i want to get some of the important stuff done like getting rsvp's back. that will stress me out the most lol

We gave out the last of our STDs at the weekend, and my next job is to line up some form of children's entertainer...

Haven't been on for a while!

Have now sorted our wedding cake and booked the harpist for the ceremony and wedding breakfast! Finally feels like its all coming together. Picked our food too, all part of the package we have booked but had to sit and pick from a list of options!

We are looking at sorting our invites in the next few weeks as a couple of other family members are also getting married next year so we wanted to get ours sent out so people have plenty of notice.

Trying to book my hen night at the moment as well but struggling to get money out of people, I set up an event on facebook and 15 people said they were coming yet only have the money from 3! Haven't got time to keep chasing people and want to get it booked as want to do it on a specific date!

Next is flowers and centrepieces, we are having a vintage travel theme and our colours are royal blue, ivory and silver so any suggestions welcome :-)

Eek just booked to give notice on the 10th Sept! The lady booking commented that we were quite early but I figure our wedding date's not going to move now so might as well get this ticked off. Plus it's rare that we would have time off together midweek where we didn't already have something planned. Exciting. I feel like I've not done much lately so it's good to get back into it.

We gave notice yesterday, it's now starting to feel real and not too far away. I never thought id say this but the time is going by so quickly!!

I know shelly! It's crazy. I can feel a slight panic setting in. All I keep thinking is how close it's going to be after Christmas! ?

I feel like I'm not doing anything at the moment.

I have a great big long list but nothing to do right now. Going to book in to give notice for October. and hopefully do my hair trial next month as well.

We have had fun looking at honeymoons though.

An update from me. Both my mum and mother-in-law have their wedding outfits, we've chosen our vows and we're ordering bridesmaid dresses at the end of the month. It's coming along nicely.

So how's my fellow July brides/grooms coming along? What's next for you guys? Anyone starting to panic yet LOL !!

We are looking at suits today. Need to sort a cake and tackle bridesmaids dresses. It's quite a toughy as 4 of 5 are scattered around the world! Any ideas welcome on how to find dresses for them!

It's been a little quite here recently. Thibk it's the calm before the storm ☺. Only a little update from me really.

We've been to give notice so we have to pick our vows, readings and witnesses.

We won a competition on hitched for confetti so that was good. We didn't plan on having any but since we've won it why not.

We've also booked our honeymoon, which I'm super excited about. We fly out the Wednesday after the wedding for 2 days in new York 5 days in Las Vegas and 5 days in miami ☺.

Shelly, I think ill start panicking when we get to single figure months!

I'm only having 1 bridesmaid little_mrsa2b, my daughter. She's only 13 so I don't feel I can buy yet as I don't know how her shape will change between now and then. Plus, she's picking her own, it's the only way I can get her into a dress... lol

As for the cake, I'm making my own as that's what I do. I'm going for quite funky flavours - one tier will be black forest gateau. I haven't a clue on the design yet though, I'm really struggling with it....

The next thing on my list is giving notice, I want to get it done as soon as possible so it doesn't get lost in all the other planning later on....

We have now give notice too.....I called the office on 3rd July (our date is 2nd July next year) they thought I was mad! But that's all done now and vows picked. and I just had the harpist confirmed last night for the ceremony and reception drinks. Final design on the stationary agreed so I just need to start making it all now. Just have bridesmaid dresses to pic which hopefully we will sort in 2 weeks when we go to the wedding show in London as I will have all 3 bridesmaids with me.

Just organising my hen weekend now (I know everyone keeps saying I shouldn't be organising it but I would rather do it myself....at least that way I will enjoy it), we have a massive house in bath booked for the weekend that will sleep upto 17, the Friday night will be a night in food booze and games, then Saturday it's off too the spa a bit of shopping and then a meal, those that want too can then go out clubbing and the rest just head back to the house.

At this rate it looks like I'll be helping organise the stag weekend too as my fiancé goes away for 9 months and his Bestman is lovely but useless.....my fiancé has made sure I know what he wants and will leave me a list of everyone he wants to invite. ?

Well done on winning the competition and your honeymoon sounds fab. We fly out to the Dominican Republic on the Tuesday after the wedding.

we went to the venue today to sort out timings and menus.

i ordered my dress last week and im going bridesmaid shopping at the end of oct

it felt really real today going to the venue.

im going to start panicking once im past October i think lol

Well times ticking by fast I finally choose my dress last week, six bridal shops and I found the one.

Waiting for the notice toget to the vicar to arrange more. Details, should have been up by now.

Got excited today adds have bride shirts in and hen night.

We gave notice on Friday which was quite exciting because it's made it more real again. We are also hoping to book our honeymoon this week. Funnily enough that's the job that H2B has been most enthusiastic about!!

Yay! We booked our honeymoon last night. Our original plan was to do 2 weeks across Vegas, LA and San Fran, but after giving it some thought I really didn't want to be away from my son for that long, so now the 3 of us are going to Orlando. I'm so excited, but it's REALLY weird seeing the booking in my married name!
