Oh no!! It depends how long you have had it and where you got it from.

I lost one of my diamonds about 2 months after I got it from Earnest Jones, I couldn’t find the diamond and was beside myself. I took it back and they said it should not have happened and that after it was fixed it would be a bit loose due to the setting so they wouldn’t fix it but they would replace it..... it took 3 weeks to come through and I had a brand new ring.

I did make H2b get down on one knee and put it on again for me!

Hope you get it sorted and have a fantastic honeymoon

    Sx

Oh how cr*ppy - it should cost about £100 - thats what my mum paid for hers,

Can i ask are the diamonds set into the ring or are they on "claws" as that makes a difference RE pricing

    XXXXX

    thanks stumper

i've had it 3 years but its a suspense setting, so worried i'm going to keep knocking it out, have emailed ernest jones about having the diamond set in a different ring, daft thing is i never wore the ring when i was engaged as its a bit big, now i've got a slightly smaller wedding ring (june) i wear it all the time, with the wedding ring on top, so really only been wearing it 3months..........

If you take it back to the shop you got it from, they may do it for free given that the diamond shouldn't have fallen out in the first place - definitely worth trying!

blimey £100, its a suspense setting - think thats what its called, only got claws at the top and bottom of the stone, have asked about having it put in a different setting to be safer, like a bezel.......

If you have the diamond the place you bought it from should reset it for free but even if they do charge you it shouldn't be too much. I'm always knocking one of the diamonds out of mine (it's 4 marquis cuts on a cross) and they always fix it for free except for the one time I knocked it and buggered the actual setting completely and then they charged me £50.

I actually managed to split one of mine a few years ago - apparently it's quite easy to do as the stones have a grain to them and if you knock them in the wrong place they just break. Had never heard of that before though! Anyway, I had to pay for the new stone but not to have the ring reset. HTH

I couldn't believe it, just heard this crunch - stone gone, although it isn't damaged, think i'd rather have it in a different setting than worrying about it happening again iyswim, or else i'll be too frightened to wear it,
