I am getting married next year and we are having a mainly child-free wedding. I say mainly child free because my fiancé's nephew is invited as it would cause more issues than its worth if he wasn't...

Our main issues with the nephew attending is that he's never not been the centre of attention and we are worried he will try talk / yell through the ceremony and speeches, his parents are extreme gentle parenting people so we know they won't be strict with him therefore we need to find a way to keep him entertained if he starts to be disruptive and he isn't taken outside.
He will be 5 at the time we get married and he has 0 interest in colouring books or activity packs so I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions which would work for this situation?

Since standard coloring books won't work and his parents won't intervene, you can give him a special, empowering role that channels his need for attention into something constructive, such as being the official "Ring Security" officer equipped with a toy badge and a locked briefcase, or assigning him an engaging job during the empowerretirement com ceremony like carrying a lightweight basket or handing out programs. Alternatively, providing a high-engagement, silent distraction he only gets during key moments like a brand-new handheld interactive tech toy with headphones or a miniature digital camera so he can take his own "guest photos" can successfully keep him quiet and occupied without causing a scene.
