Kids meals?

milna, 12 May, 2009 at 09:09 Posted on Planning 0 2

We have the following children coming:

11 years old

10 years old

8 years old

4 years old

2 years old

Just over 1 year old

I think the 11 year old will eat an adult meal - the younger ones we are going to get a simpler/smaller meal made up. But what do 1 and 2 year olds eat? Will their parents bring special food for them? Or just the one year olds?

Think I had better ring them to check, but just wanted to get an idea beforehand so that they don't think I'm really rude if I ring them and check/suggest that they bring their won baby food!

Will the 11yr old and 10yr old be sitting near each other / are they part of the same family/group? the only reason i ask is that my eldest FG is 8, the next is 6, but whatever the elder one has, the younger one wants - this goes for all sorts of things, not just food. so i would get the same meal for the 11, 10 and 8 yr old. maybe even a smaller version for the 4yr old. or just a kids meal for all of them?

i would think the 1yr old will just have whatever their parents have brought for them, though i'm not sure for the 2yr old.

sorry, this is probably no help at all!

We have quite a few kids coming to ours. I didn't want to get it wrong so asked on the rsvp for them to let us know if they wanted a 1/2 portion of the adult meal, pasta and tomato sauce or if they would provide their own.

I think its best to ask the parents to be honest - some of the little ones that I thought would have the pasta or they would bring something are having half the adult meal!

No - 10 and 8 year olds are OH kids (and as you say will want the same) - and are both quite fussy eaters - so definately better with kids meals. 11 year old is a friends child - and is THE most grown up 11 year old I have ever met and very good with food (veggie, but unfussy apart from that) - put her on an all adult table and she is going to eat an adult (veggie) meal.

Just emailed my cousin to ask if 2 year old wants kids meal or will bring own baby-goo! I am guessing 1 year old (belongs to a different cousin) will definately just eat baby-goo but need to double check as not sure of its exact age!
