Ladies - Advice needed

TinaBeana, 15 April, 2016 at 15:59 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi Ladies.

I will apologies now for what you are about to read...

I have a query? What are you all wearing on you legs? I know you are wearing dresses but are you wearing anything under your dresses?
Basically I live in trousers and don't wear dresses but when I do I find my thighs rub together and get sweaty and horrible (Yuk! Good old chub rub) and it makes me very uncomfortable, if this happens I wont want to walk or dance. Normally I wear tights but I just don't feel they will be a good idea under a bigish dress ( the thought of trying to wiggle down tights while my BM's hold my dress makes nervous lol)
I am terrified of having the dreaded rub all day (getting Married at 12 so will be a long day!)

Will a simple garter help this?

Many thanks

I also live in jeans/trousers. Never wear skirts and rarely wear a dress. I wore tights under my dress as I had to wear something as it was -37! Surprisingly I didn't find them uncomfortable and never thought about them once. Unless you plan a commando day you will still have your underwear to contend with for the loo so if tights will stop the dreaded rub I would go for them. Or knickers with long legs lol. Comfort every time as its a long day.

I also suffer with this problem and it;s the worst! I have heard about something called bandalettes - maybe even from a thread on here? I haven't tried them myself, so can't vouch for their effectiveness, but they are basically bands you put around your thighs to stop the chaffing. Definitely going to invest for my big day! Either that or a sexy pair of cycling shorts :/ August wedding plus big dress does not make a great combination!

Anyone used bandalettes and can give us a review?

EDIT : Just did a quick Google... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2380878/A-cure-chub-rub-New-product-promises-help-women-suffer-embarrassing-inner-thigh-chafing.html

Trixie beat me to it, but I was going to recommend bandelettes too (link below - you can get off amazon etc) I haven't used them but I'll probably buy them soon and give them a trial run a few times, but I have heard good things about them!

Another thing you could do is actually oil up the inside of your thighs as then they will 'glide' against each other rather than rub together if you see what I mean!

    Thank you Ladies...

I think the problem with tights it to get them to stay up i have to have them up round my belly button and they will not be easy to get off under my dress.

I did think about using Vaseline to help, but im sure it wont last for 12 hours and dont want to have to run off ever few hours to grease myself up lol!

I have never heard of Bandelettes before but i will be looking them up now :-D

Isn't there some special cream you can buy? I can't remember what it was called but I seem to remember an advert with people made from balloons and their legs rubbing together and squeaking?! Just me??

I have suffered this a lot in the past and tend to find lanocane antichaffing gel the best, feel some material on my legs would make it worse
