Laduree croquembouche...

Gurzle, 12 of June of 2011 at 18:14 Posted on Planning 0 13

Hi all

I love love love the laduree macaroon croquembouches and I would love one for our wedding cake - I have tried looking online but looks like I will have to head into town and go to Harrods to get any real info as there don't seem to be any online providers. I can't make this trip until weekend after next as I am really busy for the next few weeks - has anyone bought one or got any idea on costs or info in general?

TIA

G

Just had a quick Google and all I can find is a thread on another Wedding Forum where someone said they paid £200 for a croquembouche form Laudree for 70 people.

There is a Laduree shop in the Burlington Arcade as well. I saw some in Paris & they were absolutely amazing, the colours are gorgeous.

Glad to see they are popular - I want one in pastel colours with hearts stuck on it (I'm Greek. I'm over the top. So shoot me.) I will let you all know when I get a quote from Laduree...although a lady I found on the internet said she does similar things...you never know though! She might turn up on the day with something NOTHING like a Laduree macaroon stack...

Thats so wierd ... i went to a wedding fayre today in nantwich and saw one of these stalls - she had proper wedding cakes made of them, little glass bowls of them, and one just like the picture on this thread. Ild never seen one before until today.

Our venue charges £300 for a 50 person profiterole one. It made me laugh reading earlier that this is a high risk item and can only be provided by our venue or a professional company! haha

Thanks Amy - that is exactly what I am after! I think this place is too far North for me, I live in Hertfordshire so it might be an expensive delivery charge. Hope you had a nice time at the wedding fayre!
