Lake district wedding

Hi has anyone got any suggestions for lake district venues?

    There should be a list of licenced venues on the government website.

    Generally registry offices and hotels are usually the first places to look.

    If you decide on a venue that doesn't have a license (i.e. a Lakeside or cottage or something) you may need to register at the registry office a day or a few days before to be "legally married" then hire a celebrant to conduct the service at the venue to have the "wedding".

    Sorry I can't be more specific, but I don't live in the area.

    My SIL got married at the Daffodil Hotel last year and it was beautiful - despite the rain and flooding! They'd just refurbished, too. The scenery is amazing, and you can get married outside under the gazebo overlooking the lake with mountains in the background. Unfortunately, the heavy rain meant they had a last minute change and had to marry inside, but that was still beautifully done. The venue was really slick and accommodating, and the room rates for guests weren't too high either.
