? I can only ever remember hiding behind the sofa at daleks, so am now imagining poor, chafy daleks.

I think it might be good for people who do a lot of sports as clothes can get chafy. Also, I am now wondering if it might be good for chafy sandals, as every year when I wear mine for the first time I get hurt feet.

Is that the stuff with the balloon men with chafing thighs? H and I had a good snigger at that. ? Must be miserable to have chafing bits, mind you but I think I'd rather put up with them rather than go to the chemist and ask for that stuff!

"Irk" sums it up nicely. Is it just me, or do the balloon men look like they've been made out of condoms? ?

It's the squeaky fart noise the little balloon men make as they walk that distresses me...

A friend chafes as she has very large boobs. It's also used by sportspeople (and beats the solution we used as children, which was to bathe the raw area in methylated spirits to toughen the skin up to reduce sensation to future chaffing. Feck me, but it hurt.) Otherwise it's used by overweight people to reduce the pain of their thighs and so on rubbing together..

I might be having a sense of humour failure but I think you're being rather mean. it must be horrible to suffer from this, any product that can actually help is a good thing. sniggering and comments like 'ick' are rather childish and make it sound like you are laughing at people for being overweight.

I am guessing there must be a market for it or else they wouldn't have wasted money developing and marketing the product.

And FWIW Mr R, who isn't a stick insect but isn't fat either, often suffers painful chafing round his underarms, result of working in a hot kitchen and the chefs whites rubbing against him. It can look really sore sometimes.

Lois, put Vaseline on your shoe-rubby areas, works a treat.

Despite being devastatingly handsome, I am one of the larger members of the community.

My leisure activities frequently involve wearing worsted wool next to the skin and "joggers nipple" has sod all on "bergen burn".

In short, I am no stranger to being chafed by clothing/personal impedimenta... I have the scars to prove.

Anti chafing gel is still "ick".

Bah to the humourless bunch. Anti chafing gel is ick.

Since I discovered the joys of cycling, I have found there are specialist products for the gentleman cyclist. I have christened them 'scruttock cream' ?

    Mmm...bodyglide.

Oddly, being a former fat bloke, I never had problems with chafing. Must have been lucky.

Having seen loml return from runs with massive great bloody patches on both sides of his chest, I am delighted Bodyglide exists ? I use it on my feet.

Likewise - cheaper than covering my bloody feet with Compeed!

Although in spite of Compeed, Bodyglide, double-skin socks and the grace of god, I still ended up with stonking great blood blisters on both feet after my marathon ?

I think you have to suffer for a full 26 miles ? Sooooo jealous of your marathon efforts.

Sod the lot, get very drunk (you'll need it), have a couple of burly chaps hold you down and inject the blisters (blood or otherwise) with tinc-benz.

Once you've recovered from the wish-you-were-dead agony, you'll never have a blister in the same spot again.
