Lapland wedding advice please!

Hi Bex,

We married in Lapland in March this year. We booked the Wedding and Holiday completely separate. We booked a week in a log cabin in Levi with Inghams and for the Wedding we used Rue at Sun and snow weddings, who is an independent wedding planner out there, but is originally from the UK. Rue really was brilliant and she tailors the wedding specifically for your requirements. We have not one single regret about using her.

I love Lapland!! I've been to saariselka, a lovely small resort. We went through inghams, then the next year booked it ourselves and saved £1k between 4 of us. We oozed flights with Norwegian air via Helsinki to ivalo, hired a car and booked accom directly with north village. Had an amazing time. We got married in the Ice Chapel near Levi, and it was absolutely stunning! It was only me and my husband that went to Lapland, so we didnt have a reception as such. Rue did book us a table at a steak restaurant in Levi for afterwards so we had a lovely meal there, before heading back to our log cabin

She does have really good reviews on her website, Me and my husband wrote one of them after our wedding! and another review on there is from the couple that recommended Rue to us originally!

I am getting married at the Luvattumaa Ice Chapel in January. We also used Rue from Sun and Snow weddings and she has been fantastic!

Hi, sorry to gate crash this post I am getting married in the snow village this December and as it seems to be flying in I'm starting to get really nervous. We have never been to Lapland it has just always been my dream so I am hoping we will love it. We are going with our 3 kids so our wedding will be a small event and we will celebrate it with a party when we return. I booked my wedding with Lapland weddings but the photographer they use doesn't do or recommend a videographer and I would really love our special day recorded to show friends and family when we return have any of you had any luck with a videographer? Any hints and tips would be great as I don't have a clue where to start xxx

Hey, the other lapland thread is a bit more lively so may have some brides with videographers, personally i don't think we will be having one so cannot suggest anything there. Do you know about clothing etc for over there and where abouts are you staying? I have been once before and our wedding is dec 2015 :-) how are you finding the planning? X

Ps you and your children will love it! I strongly recommend a reindeer sleigh excursion as ours was fantastic! We spent a good few hours at a reindeer farm stroking them and feeding them followed by a sleigh trip and the Sami reindeer herders were lovely!

Hi I have just seen your post. I am looking for a videographer in Lapland I am getting married in the snow village I have tried to contact hysly through Facebook and had no reply do you have another method I could contact them? How was your day? I have never been to Lapland it is just my dream so I am mega excited!!! Any hints or tips you have would be really appreciated xx
