Late curfew / no curfew

Izzy, 6 January, 2024 at 19:08 Posted on Planning 0 4
Hi , I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas/knew of any venues in which we could dance the night away (not all going home at 11:30pm!)

Thanks ! Izzy x

The latest I found when looking for mine was 12:30, but I wasn’t particularly looking for this as a criteria. Do you have a lot of evening guests to pad out the party numbers for the evening? Or are you having a late ceremony?
I only ask as unless you have a lot of night owls, people may be too tired to party super late after a long day.
My ceremony was midday, I think typically it’s about 2pm these days, so either way by midnight, guests would have had to be in wedding/socialisation mode for 10-12hrs already. By 10/11pm most of my guests were happy to be sat down chatting away instead rather than up and partying, so it’d have needed a lot of evening numbers to boost the partying atmosphere up a notch.

    Hi Izzy,

Depends what country / area you’re looking in but at my venue (Hedsor House) I believe on a weekend date you can get a 1am extension. You also get 10 guest suites literally upstairs from the main venue so you can turn your disco into a giant slumber party or take the party back to the bridal suite if you so wish!
Price also includes breakfast for everyone to nurse that hangover but you gotta be out of there by 10am (because the next wedding party can arrive from 10:30 to start getting ready. It runs like clockwork over there!)

Hi , yeah I’ve got a lot of night owls so preferably would like somewhere later than 11:30. Not sure what time we are getting married yet but probably around 2ish I would assume

    Hi,

Have you tried looking on Tagvenue? Some of the venues there are not strictly for weddings so some of them close later? Can always ask if it is an option to pay extra for later finish time. I do believe I found some venues in London that offered that option and could stay until 2am, so have a look.

Are you open to the idea of having an after party at your house or your parents house, if your neighbours are cool about it tho! Smiley laugh

Another idea, if it is in your budget: what you can do is hire Airbnb for the day or from the day before depending on check in time, you can get ready there in the morning with your bridesmaids, if it is big enough they can also chip in and stay there the night before and then go back after the reception for an after party.

    Happy planning.
