Yall would not believe how much we budgeting for our international wedding.
I'm American and my husband is British. We are having our wedding out in the United Kingdom with friends and family coming from all over the world. With so many people coming over (about 60-80 guests) we needed to figure out a way to make a memorable wedding without hurting our wallets.
First thing we did was lock out London from our options. Everyone visits London. Sure it is a beautiful place but its too overcrowded, very expensive and just not a friendly area either. The UK is filled with beautiful places to go visit and explore.
Split Venues
We found out about Highcliffe Castle being one of the most gorgeous castles down by Dorset. This is nowhere near London btw. For the ceremony alone, we paid about £1,400. You get the staff to assist you throughout your day, the luxury of getting married in a castle plus a beautiful garden outside to take nice photos.
After our ceremony, we are all meeting an hour away to Southampton Revolution. A pub that has plenty of food and drinks to chose from. The best part about this pub is that you only need a minimum spend of £2,000 and thats it! You don't hire the venue, instead that money is deposited towards food! You are able to reserve the upstairs (not the rooftop) portion of the pub and its all for you and your guests. We were able to feed all 75 guests with a buffet and still have hundreds left over for drinks and the dj.

Now that we got the venues with food out of the way, everything else is a smooth sailing breeze as we can budget around with what we can afford. Your wedding can be budgeting and luxurious if you really search for it. We are not the richest in the world and only my husband classifies as second class. So this price range suited us the best to make such a memorable classy wedding.
