Haha Panj! This thread is great, and has properly cheered me up, thank you wonderful peeps. I'm loving all the otters and giraffes! Apologies for my ASOS comment - i had been buzzing my bell for over an hour for someone to come and take me to the flippin loo and was a bit grumpy - I have just made myself laugh though. The evening receptionist does spend am awful lot of time online shopping in my defence... flowers, cake and wine all round xx

Oh no! I love the other patients, they are all stars. Its the night staff mainly - there are buzzers going off all the time and it just takes so long. It really adds to the frusration when you are eventually wheeled off to the loo to see reception folk buying clothes... gah! Some cleaner guy just came round and placed all the buzzers out of reach i pretended i was asleep cuddling mine. I've said to the other people on the ward that were awake to shout and i'll buzz. Its really not good enough though. That said, the level of care during the day is superb.

What?! He's taken the buzzers away deliberately??

I was in hospital once and pushed my buzzer during the night and no one came, so I unplugged the machine and wheeled myself to the loo. I was just getting back into bed and plugged in again and the alarm went off and someone appeared. Another night I pushed buzzer, no one came again and the lady in the opposite bed ended up coming and helping me.
