Little bit of bling company

*Mrs M to be*, 3 October, 2013 at 18:55 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hey everyone

Just stumbled across this in the daily mail...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2442446/A-Little-Bit-Bling-Brides-devastated-wedding-days-ruined-firm-goes-bankrupt.html

Was this not the company some girls were on here talking about a little while ago?

I haven't been on hitched for a while so don't know if I'm just sharing something everyone already knows! :o)

    Yeah, it is.

I'd never heard of it until they'd gone bankrupt.

I feel awful for the brides and grooms.

    Hey,

Just seen this. I booked a sweetie cart with her and am currently trying to get my money back (either from her or my insurance). I just wondered if anyone had had any luck?

It's terrible leaving it until the morning of the wedding for the couples to find out. Not even the best wedding insurance would be able to resolve that situation. For the post above about the sweet cart - did you pay on credit card? if yes read - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/section75-protect-your-purchases/ ) Sometimes that's much easier than going through the insurance companies.

I hope no one else got let down on here, makes me feel sick what would happen if the caterers or anyone did this to my wedding!

    Hey all,

Not sure if there are any other brides or grooms who used this company on hitched, I had booked a sweetie cart and was let down (did manage to get another one booked last minute luckily) and have just got a cheque through the post from my insurance company refunding me Smiley smile luckily I had only spent a small amount in comparison to some other brides, but hopefully others have managed to get their money back, either from ALBOB or from insurance.

Hi, would you mind telling us which insurance company that was? Always good to know companies that don't give us headaches when we need them! Smiley smile

I have almost booked bit of bling, but favored a local company instead. Lucky escape!

Always sad to hear these stories though, such disappointment. What I don't understand is why didn't she reimbursed everyone and was honest about the bankruptcy? It is sad about her illness, but that surely doesn't stop someone being correct in their ways?

Hopefully all affected will get reimbursement.
