Living in Scotland, marrying in England - Help!

Ele, 15 of July of 2021 at 11:57 Posted on Planning 0 2
Hi everyone, my fiancé and I live in Scotland and are getting married in England next year. We're so confused over the process of giving notice of marriage, as the local authority in England are saying the only way to do this is to set up a residency in England! This doesn't seem like it can be the only way to marry in England! Does anyone have any experience of this that they could share? Thanks!

A quick google says you need to get a certificate of no impediment from your Scottish registrar, and to speak your local register for help
