Ooh I like these! We had a bit of a 'Tube' theme at our evening reception... tables named after Tube stops and place cards looked like this:

    so maybe we should invest!

Ooh I'm glad it seems unanimous! Really like the designer of the map one.

Ideally I'd also like road signs of places important to up our staircase, but maybe I'm getting carried away!

    Thanks everyone for yuor input!

Saisi I think you're a bit of a local girl aren't you, to me? You got married in teddington? I like in surbiton now but moved from battersea and got marreid in westminster!

    Latvian for I don't like......

Only because I hate the tube and the daily commute makes my blood boil so the thought of having to come home to tube related art is likely to push me over the edge. ?

    ?

I love it when the tube stops at the really old stations with the signs like the above it makes me wonder what it would have been like to take the new fangled tube when it first opened.

Also love it on the odd occasion when I've caught a glimpse of a ghost station.

Some good wall art is by a guy called Douglas Rose. He reworked the tube map to include all stations that ever existed and lines that are no more(did you know that you could once go from Windsor to Southend on the "underground)?"

Ghost stations are by bag.....I am not a trainspotter though.....more a history enthusiast.....

I love ghost station as well! Actually I love all 'ghost' things - old factories/buildings etc Things that have been abandoned by humans and gradually re-claimed by nature...

I love the idea! I may have to steal the idea when we buy a house...

I haven't seen a ghost station for ages. I used to go through the one near Swiss Cottage all the time.

If you are interested in abandoned things then urban exploring forums are really interesting. 28days later is a good one.

Ages ago yeah, Ex and his friends did various places. But he got into a lot of places because os his job so it was more infiltration than UE. He liked underground stuff, I like the old uildings mainly because I think of all the things that could be doen with them yet they are being allowed to decay☹️
