Looking for a special yet cheap venue in Enfield

Hi all I'm new to hitched! And really struggling to find a reasonably priced venue within 30 mins of Enfield. It's crazy

Any help, advice or suggestions???

Shenley cricket ground is lovely and is about 30mins from Enfield. They did really good deals too when I was looking.

Hi Lauren. I live in Enfield too! Haven't managed to find a cheap venue that we love tbh. Bush hill golf club is resonance apparently, going to view it tomorrow. Where have you looked so far? Maybe look at local pubs function rooms??

I basically grew up in Enfield! Well... Oakwood.

Whilst I think about it, why don't you look in to Trent Park Golf Club? I'm not sure how much it is but I imagine a golf club may be a more affordable option.

Also, as MrsB88 said, look in to pubs with function rooms. There are a fair few which do things like £1,000 deals all inclusive for about 60 guests and then you just pay extra for the added people you need/want.

If you want village hall type venues, upshire village hall near Waltham abbey is very cute. Forty Hall was fairly reasonable last time I checked if you want a grand house type affair. Shenley CC has already been mentioned. I'll keep thinking...

Thanks everyone! Our numbers are 80ppl and I'm really trying to get venue, food and a drinks package for £5000-£6000 as everything else is so expensive and I have an overall budget of £10,000 I just don't think weddings should have more spent on them than that!

Mrs B88 I just received a brochure for bush hill please do let me know how your viewing goes

Also Pugsley Shenley does look lovely, will look into that

My top choices are

Forty hall

Essendon country club

Ponsbourne park

I'm viewing all in the next 2 weeks

Aaah, my best man used to be the events manager at Ponsbourne Park which meant he managed all the weddings... it is a lovely venue.

As is Essendon country club - That's near where I live now.

I'll be interested to see where you choose!
