Hi everyone - I'm really hoping for some help here, my first post on the site and I'm looking to buy an engagement ring.
I've been delaying asking the question mainly due to being lost when it comes to jewellery - I just have no idea what type of ring to go for. In the end, I've decided to make choosing the ring a joint experience and would like to arrange an appointment for the day after the proposal. I may look for a placeholder ring to carry us through the first 24 hours - there are some lovely alternative ones around.
I'm looking for a jeweller - ideally an independent rather than a chain, and possibly somewhere that carries vintage/pre-loved rings as well as brand new jewellery. I'd really like somewhere where I can book in in advance and agree a rough budget before we walk through the door so that price is taken out of the equation - just to make the experience as comfortable and special as possible.
Budget is healthy, but not ridiculous.
We live in Manchester - so somewhere local would be ideal, but anywhere within an hour or so would be great too.
Could anyone recommend a place?
