Not long engaged and I've been starting to tally up costs of planning a wedding. Realistically, I wasn't wanting to spend over £5/6k but, even with one of the cheaper venues we like, this is still rather tight.
Our alternative is to have a civil ceremony - possibly at registry office - with a few of our close friends, then rent out a room in a lovely pub we know and have around 30 guests for wood fire pizzas. Has anyone done anything similar? I feel this would be very laid back which is what we want but wanted to see if anyone had some inspiration!
