Hi lovelies.!!!! Just wondered if any of you have chosen this dress? It was the first dress we selected in the shop, the 2nd only I'd ever tried on. It fit like a glove and was defo 'the one's as I couldn't find fault. So comfy, and I felt totally myself and at ease in it so we bought it ( in the sale, £380!! ) I loved it on, think it's fab in the pics but am now worrying I won't feel the same when I go for my fitting in March. I just hope my impulse buy won't come back to bite me on the bum!! :0o

I think it's a lovely dress. Looks so beautiful. I think a lot of brides worry when they have bought a dress that they wont like it when they go for a fitting...I know ~I did. Had a mini panic after we bought it, then when I went back to try it on, and both times for a fitting.

I am sure you will be fine....you loved it for a reason ?

Glad you like it thanks :0) I think I'm perhaps getting the wobbles because my sister took pics on the mobile which were like squishyvision, and I looked particularly rough that day so when I look at the pics I start doubting. I think when I go for my fitting, I'll have to make sure I have full make up and hair done to get a better impression..... Xx

... And yes, I guess you're right.... I've always believed in going with gut feelings and did say myself that if I did try loads on I'd probably just end up going back to the teracina. It's just that you always expect there to be stress followed by tears of happiness from at least your mum - trust me, my mum cries even easier than I do- but there was none of that. I think it was a bit of shellshock, but it almost seemed an anticlimax as it was all so quick and easy. Xx

Thats beautiful, I'm sure you'll look fantastic in it! I brought the 2nd dress I tried on during my 'official dress shop', prior to that I tried on some gorg gowns during a browse with my friend but knew I couldn't afford them, also they were too fussy for me. I have pretty straight number from monsoon but I love it, I wobble sometimes cos i think I'd like something more elaborate but my nan saw me in my dress then she passed away last July so I could never change it and I do love it, just have to remember I don't really like fuss, I just think I maybe would've liked to try a few more big dresses!

urs is gorg though, I'd be very happy if I had that :-)

Awww Erin that makes your dress extra special :0) I'm not really a girly girl so didn't want anything too big and fussy, and I wanted to feel as relaxed as possible in the dress, to lower my chances of having a panic attack on my way up the aisle lol. I do a bit of stage work and this dress is more like a special version of something I'd wear so figured I'd find it easier to imagine myself going to face my audience than being all eyes on the bride.... Not that that makes sense but I know what I mean lol. I do love to look at really girly dresses but would feel like a fish out of water in flowers or lace. I'm sure your nan will be proudly beside you on your big day, as I'm sure both mine will xx

Well, fancy that, I have this dress too! bought it last week (not as cheaply as you unfortunately ;-) and I too feel a bit panicky at my choice now. I tried numerous dresses on but, being an odd shape, none of them fitted amazingly. I went for this dress because it's more "me" and once it's altered, will look lovely. I think I'm having those doubts because I didn't get the wow feeling when I put it on. I never got emotional and knew instantly that it was "the one" like many people say happens. I also have dreadful photos taken on a mobile of me in it which definitely doesn't help! I think that once it fits properly, hair and make up are done, it will look fab and my worries will go :-)

Wow! We sound sooooo alike over this!!! I adoreeeee the dress, I just don't know if I will do it justice. I look at the rear shot of myself in it and see just that... Rear lol!! Think I'll have to invest in some magic knickers for the fitting!! Thing is, when I saw my reflection, my waist looked little and my boobs were actually visible haha but then I see myself in my full length mirror at home and think that the bridal shop might have 'kind' mirrors, cos what I see on the pics doesn't match what I remember seeing on the day. I'm 5'11 with quite a slim but square frame with some flat chest - god don't I sound sexy lol!!! - so I need something that will flatter my shape, or lack of it!! Who was with you when you chose it? I defo felt it was the one, just no emotional surge. It somehow just felt right? Xx

I took my sister with me when I tried on the dress, she was actually very reserved with her judgement of it too which didn't help! I am what u call a "plus-size" bride and very pear shaped. I too absolutely loved the waist it gave me but it's huge up top until adjustments are made so it's difficult to visualise the final product. I just loved the simple style to it. I found so many gorgeous dresses which were very detailed and very "weddingy" which I loved but, at the end of the day, they just weren't my style. I really can't wait to have it fitted properly! I also think that any big decision we make is often automatically followed by feelings of doubt. it's just the responsibility of having to make that decision that causes it I think

    Hi,

This dress is absolutely beautiful. I wore this dress for my wedding on 1st September last year. This was one of the first dresses I tried on, I loved it immediately. II went on to try many different styles on but nothing compared to this. It's just stunning, so simple and elegant. I ordered my dress in February and it wasn't ready for my first fitting until July and I was getting so stressed wondering whether I'd ordered the right dress or not. By the time I got to July, I was in pieces and burst into tears (of joy!) as soon as I put the dress on again. I thought I was being totally irrational but the bridal shop told me that this is perfectly "normal" and most brides go through these emotions. It doesn't help that there are not many reviews of the Teracina but try not to worry as I'm sure you've made the right decision.

I can't work out how to add links to photos so if you want any photos, please let me know and I will email them to you.

    Sarah x

    Hi,

It is beautiful. You are right to go with your instincts. You will look amazing. If, By the way, Your mum decides on a fascinator then maybe have a peep at my website. My business is quite new so would value any comments.

This dress looks gorgeous and it doesnt like it would cost £380! More like 1K i would say! If it makes you feel better, when I saw my wedding dress I did not even try it on! I saw it on the window, walked in the shope and paid the deposit! When you know you know. Dont even look at it until your wedding day now....next time you put it on and see it on you properly you will forget all about it...this insecurity etc....it will probably make you cry! Have you got a photo with you wearing it? If yes flash us!

You look lovely in it and there is nothing to worry about....they will sort out the right size for you anyway. Go and try it on with your wedding shoes so you can decide on the length....the rest will be sorted that is their job. I am a size 6 and the dress they had on the model when I went to buy mine was a 14 but that didnt worry me! They measured me and ordered the right size! It is perfect so chill! :-)

Awwww Thankyou so much, ladies!!! I feel so much happier now, I really was starting to doubt it / me. Am just feeling really frumpy at the mo... Post Xmas weight gain plus pre menstrual water retention.... Not a great look! I agree, looking at the models proportions, she has to be standing on something, so I guess NOBODY would look like that in it. And I'm pleased putting the pics on has helped you too...... Damn we got ourselves a mighty fine dress eh? *no more doubting, no more doubting!! * xx
