marriage consummation - is it a myth?

Is it a myth that if a marriage hasn't been consummated it can be annulled? I ask on behalf of someone who has just confessed that, in almost 2 years of marriage, they have never had sex. Just curious really, I don't think it will effect the outcome.

That is so sad Lili donkey.

A woman in my reading group wrote a book about the problem of there being many more single young Christian women rather than single young Christian men and should a woman compromise their beliefs to go out with a 'non-pure' man or remain single. She seemed to tangle herself up in knots about it.

(Then a few years later she came out as a lesbian which was an unexpected outcome! )
