It is a Pronovias, Alborada. I shouldn't have really but I couldn't help myself! Am seeing it for the first time again next Monday for my first fitting so I hope I still love it.

I havent been fitted for mine yet so all I have is these. Its a phoenix dress but cant find a pic of it on a model anywhere.

Saspip - I´m so jealous I could cry. I really wanted to try that dress on but couldn´t find it! It´s to die for.

This is mine. The split isn´t actually as obvious as on the photos (unless you do an Angelina ?). It actually just shows off your shoes when you walk, rather than the whole leg. Am getting married outside in Italy so wanted something quite light and not too formal.

Ah, thank you! I think I tried yours on and loved it but I get really sensitive across the chest and the lace was bothering me. I knew I'd scratch myself to death if I wore it all day so I went for one with just the shoulders instead. Is that why you're having yours altered a bit?

It took me ages to find a shop that still had one for me to try on as apparently it was "last season" even though I was shopping in August 2011 and it was in the 2011 collection. What?! Anyway, you have made the right choice with yours. It's gorgeous and looks lovely and light. The Pronovias is HEAVY, loads of layers of lace, so I think you would have been uncomfortable in the heat.

Saspip - I´ll try and console myself with the thought it just wasn´t to be! It will (hopefully) be around 30 degrees when we get married so I think the lace would have been too heavy. It doesn´t stop me dreaming about it though!

Am surprised it´s last season´s though as I´m sure it was on the Pronovias website as 2012!?

It was in the 2011 Style Collection I think but they have a number of similar dresses each year so there might be one very close to it in the 2012 as well. Lots of shops tried to fob me off with the 'newer' one but I persisted until I found the oldie!

Exactly that! I felt like it was too covered, and it didn't look right on me. But the moment the seamstress saw it on me she said "oh no,that's not right, it would look so much better like this" and with a few pins she made it perfect!! And I love that it will be slightly customised so no one else has exactly the same. Oh I want to go back & try it on again!!!!!

First time I have flashed mine ... not the greatest picture and I haven't got any of me in it yet!!

I have decided i am going to my mums tomorrow (she has my dress at hers) to try mine on and get a flash of me in it, im so excited now!!

I actually bought this today......ssssooooooo excited!! It won't arrive until August. I'm having a silver sash rather than the one shown, and have opted to not have the rosette.

I love my dress, i fell in love with as soon as I saw it ... unfortunately I couldn't get a flash as I didnt get time to try it on, but I am holiday from work this week so I will try and get a flash then. x

My designer online photo, I nearly cried when I saw it! I don't think it actually looks much like my dress.
