Midday weddings

ktharris86, 19 of July of 2014 at 22:17 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hey there girls!!

This is my first post, and am hoping for some inspiration and ideas,

Our ceremony is at 12:30 and we've been advised that it will last about half an hour.

Our evening guests are coming at 7pm.

What I'd like to know is what did/are/would you do to make the day flow nicely and keep people entertained?

thanks in advance

kate xx

    Hey :-)

I'm getting married midday too! Wanted the day to last as long as poss! And evening guests arriving at 7pm

this is my rough order of the day (need to change a few bits mom thinks the evening food is way too late)

    Order of the day
    12.35pm ceremony
    1.30pm photographs
    1.45pm hot ciders & canapés
    2.30pm wedding breakfast
    3.45pm cutting of the cake
    5pm speeches
    6.30pm entertainment
    8.30pm first dance
    8.45pm fireworks
    9pm dancing
    9.30pm evening food
    1am bedtime

    Order of the day
    12.35pm ceremony

    1.30pm photographs

    1.45pm hot ciders & canapés

    2.30pm wedding breakfast

    3.45pm cutting of the cake

    5pm speeches

    6.30pm entertainment (band acoustic set)

    8.30pm first dance

    8.45pm fireworks

    9pm evening food

    9.20pm dancing

    1am bedtime

I've tried to plan to keep guests entertained throughout the day :-/ hopefully they are!

I've got a duo who play violin and guitar playing through the meal and a more livelier set early evening and my band are doing an acoustic set for and hour at half 6. Xx

I am getting married at midday

    These are my timings:

    12pm- Civil Ceremony

12.30pm- Drinks reception followed by photographs

2pm- Sit down for wedding breakfast. Speeches before we have the food

    4pm- Tea/coffee in bar area

This is when I have a gap in the day! So We are going to have garden games e.g. giant jenga, connect 4, as some entertainment for our guests. As well as giving people time to check into rooms and freshen up/chill out

    7pm- Evening guests arrive

8.15- Cake cutting and first dance

    8.30- Buffet served
