how we met
We met online in feb 2014. I am 34 and he is 40 so we knew we didn't want or need to date for a long time, luckily we clicked and started discussing the prospect of engagement/marriage in sept 2014!
The proposal
he proposed on my favourite dog walk on the 2ndof nov 2014 we also went on this walk on our second date so its a very special place. he was calm as anything but afterwards I kicked myself for not realising as he was asking questions such as 'will it be bust at the top and will there be loads of people about'
Cocoa my dog helped with the proposal by running ahead so the ring could be planted at the top, this is the spot we rang our families to tell them
We started planning the wedding straight away as I wanted an autumn wedding so after visiting a few venues we picked the Red Lion at Burnsall, which is about 10 minutes from Bolton Abbey and 20 mins form where we live, it was pefect. wedding booked for the 24th October 2015!
Luckily my godchildrens mum is a an interior designer and my hubby best friends wife is a fashion designer so I had no problems with them setting up the rooms before the wedding!
we loved our Mr & Mrs light up letters, they were a brilliant photo point and were a great eyepiece!
me and my dad at 1.55pm, by now I was a shaking bag of nerves mixed with excitement!
my husband -to-be at this point, I've asked him what he's thinking but he can't remember!
we did it!!
my god-daughter and niece on the river path
this pic should of been in earlier, my sister and niece in coast 'allure' dresses and my nephew did not put the sign down, it reads 'Uncle Jonny here comes your bride!
The day was perfect and went without a hitch, we had a winter BBQ which was delicious, evening guests arrived from 7pm and we partied the night away, after seeing glow sticks on pinterest we decided to get some and they were a complete success and everyone loved them!
my niece and nephew!
We stayed at the venue until monday morning and left for our honeymoon to Las vegas and New york on the tuesday morning.
Tired but very happy the night before we flew!
at the Grand Canyon!
We are now very much looking forward to our 1st christmas as Mr & Mrs....and relaxing!
