My Steampunk Wedding flash - updated with 41 days to go (new flashy flash flashes)

Hi all 41 days to go thought I'd share my dress but with these sleeves and hair make up inspiration My dad is making these as my centerpieces bridesmaid dresses With these corsets over my venue cake stand inspiration (but different cake) my cardbox will be a airship (inspiration below) confetti...

thought I'd share

my dress

but with these sleeves and hair

make up inspiration

My dad is making these as my centerpieces

bridesmaid dresses

With these corsets over

cake stand inspiration (but different cake)

my cardbox will be a airship (inspiration below)

confetti cones inspiration (but making using air balloon paper)

my seating plan will be inside this (sorry for the messy background from DIY-ing)

    Finally decided on out music, and I have a reading

    decided to do our own vows so that's my next job

    also thinking of having a basket of slipper socks for the ladies for when their feet hurt

    Ahhhhhh finally got my wedding ring today

    finished my flip flop basket

    started a basket for blankets,

    printed all my signs and started painting the frames to match

    and finished all my BM bouquets

    ordered the groomsmens hats and goggles

    sams top hat is on its way

    only 57 days to goooooooo??????????

    Love it! My florist was hiring the copper candelabra type thing. It looked really good. I look forward to seeing your flash :-)

    It's getting very very real now

    only 54 days left

    there was no way mine and sams wedding was going to be traditional, it really isn't us, but steampunk definitely represents us, a bit classy and whimsical and old fashioned but very geeky nerdy and weired at. The same time

    I searched and searched for a pair I liked and couldnt find any so I found a pair I's worn once for a wedding reception and steam-punked them myself

    On the plus side they only cost me £10 to make (the only ones i liked to buy cost over £200) and I already know they are extremely comfortable

    I have no idea what steam punk is but absolutely love this style. Great flashes and I'm so intrigued by the cogs and air ships, and balloons - what a cool wedding that looks to be!!.

    Steampunk is a mix of Victorian elegance and sci-fi and technology

    It's all about mixing old and new: fusing the usability of modern technology with the design aesthetic and philosophy of the Victorian age. Or as US young fiction author Caitlin Kittredge put it: "It's sort of Victorian-industrial, but with more whimsy"

    or It could be described by the slogan "What the past would look like if the future had happened sooner."

    I'm not a great fan of themed weddings.....but have to say I would attend this one in a flash and can't wait to see the report and pictures....it looks amazing and well done on making it all work without overkill.
