My Wedding Dress has arrived in store :).

I went to find my dream dress at the end of March I got a message yesterday to say that it had NOW arrived. I thought it would not be ready till about September/ October time. They told me up to 3-6 months. I have 10 days to go and try it on just in case anything needs to be changed with the...

I went to find my dream dress at the end of March I got a message yesterday to say that it had NOW arrived. I thought it would not be ready till about September/ October time. They told me up to 3-6 months.


I have 10 days to go and try it on just in case anything needs to be changed with the designer etc. I am so excited to put my actual wedding dress on Smiley smile I feel a bit nervous as well. I am also due on my period I told the shop that they said I can try it on for a few mintues jsut to check everything. I will wear period underwear.


The wedding dress sample I tried on fitted fine did not feel to tight really but they have sized me up. So if anything it will feel as though I have more room in it Smiley smile I am so excited I break up for summer break tomorrow. Knowing that next week I will be trying my dress on has come at the right time really. I am taknig my Mum with me Smiley smile.

    I feel excited and nervous all rolled into 1! I had my last dress fitting yesterday it was amazing! They sold me it even bigger than they should have but my dress maker didnt understand why and it was ALOT of work. But all good she has worked wonders on my gown. Only stress I really have is the food not answering my emails. I need the final bill and to know arrival time etc but I’m sure it’ll come.

    So glad you had your final dressing fitting Smiley smile and your seamstress has worked wonders on your dress. Are you now happy with the fit then? That's strange I hear that wedding dresses are smaller than our high street sizing. So hence why we have to size up.
    I hope they get back to you ASAP you would have thought they would. I would have thought they want the money lol 😆 our venue have there own catering team. They seem organised so far.

    Yes! I was always happy with it but then I lost a little weight in my hips but my seenstress couldn’t understand why they went another size up. But not worth thinking about when she worked her magic, it just happened to cost £500 to sort which could have been avoided. But that does not matter as it was in budget and I thought was a normal price. That’s good. They have to be quick with these things! I am calling tomorrow and will go from there. He did say the week before but I don’t think I can wait until then for the final bill. We don’t even have an estimate with travel etc. all will be good I am sure.

    I want to release weight as well I have an online PT who has helped me with my diet as well as exercise. Would love to release 1 pound a week but it has not been going they way :/ been maintaining my weight for about 3 weeks. Just have to stay consistent and eat within a deficit I have been eating over my deficit. So will reset I workout 3 days a week. It helps me so much with my mental health!


    It's just stress you could do without. I pray that they will respond to you before you have to chase them. What you need from them will be answered in plenty of time.

    I feel like what ever the cost is we have to deal with it :p wedding is expensive but all will be worth while. I am worried that not everyone we invite will show up and it's already a small wedding. What can I say those that are meant to be there will join let's just seen. Trying not to stress about it main thing is we will be one flesh Smiley smile Mr and Mrs in the eyes of the law and God!

    You will do it. Happily and healthily. I don’t count anymore which I should but I have got myself healthy and to me that’s all that matters. Yes it will. Hes a lovely man for the food just need that final check box ticked and we are good to go. Yes, who will be there will. We ended up having a few more declines in the end and 3 this week. The only annoying thing this week is people have started saying they don’t want the bus they are getting lifts. These things cost money and we only got the bus that size as you said you needed it, Haha. What lovely words, ❤️

    We are going to have to pay for some taxis 🚕 not everyone drives or have access to cars. But luckily they are to far away from venue.


    Did you hire out a bus for your guests I take it? Can you change the size at all? Or you may not need it all together hopefully they get the lifts bus should be back up I guess.

    Yes. We have hired x2 buses. It’s all paid and sorted now so can’t change them. They will still be full but a good few have said now they don’t need it so we could have gone a little smaller. But it’s all done now, there is worse things that could happen I guess.

    We pay so much for weddings and in the end we realise we could have saved here and there as things progress. Like sometimes i think are wr gonna end up ordering too much food. Such is life we have to go through it.

    Lol I don't know if we would be able too lol. I have never asked good question we are having a crisps wall so hoping we can take them away any left lol.


    Will you be taking food away? If some is left lol we paid for it so we should be able to!

    We are having a crisp wall too!!! I have no clue how the food will work, we have booked all you can eat from 4-9pm. So I still say on average 3 plates per guest. So a 3 course meal. X

    So the wedding breakfast is the all you can eat. We are having a festival wedding. So food trucks etc. when they arrive they are having g champagne and beer and can have some crisps etc. yes, I feel you, we love cake. X

    We have 128 people then we have to feed the Photgrapher etc. but the food isn’t expensive as we have the breakdown of that. Katrina that will be me, hahahahaha. X

    We are feeding our photographer also Smiley smile it did not cost to much less than our guests meal. As his is a supplier rate. That's alot of people wow. I don't know that many people Smiley smile think u said u have a big family so can understand x

    That’s good then. Believe me I didn’t want that many people there but when we added on everyone we love and care about then my partner has a big work force down south that he is very close too it all added up and we looked at our list and said there is actually no one we could cut from that list so it is meant to be. X

    Wonderful and congratulations!!! I love my wedding dress more every time I try it on for the fittings! And I too got a second dress for the party. Actually shorter so I can dance. It’s like a tea length wedding dress. Is this common nowadays?

    My dress is not a wedding type of dress. It's just a sparkly dress I found at River Island i want to be comfortable. I will see how I feel I might want to keep my wedding dress on all day. As when else will I enjoy it? We will have to see. When ru getting married?=)
