New covid variant worries

Emily, 28 November, 2021 at 02:01 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8
Anyone else worried with this new covid variant?? We're only having a small wedding (less than 20 people) and it's not until October next year but I'm starting to get really worried!

We are due to Wed 30th April next year and am a bit worried but I can't do anything if things change so am trying to just not think about it as things change so often. I am hopeful you will be fine for October x

I think what will be will be. It's not worth worrying about. Who knows what is around the corner for it. I don't think people will put up with too many restrictions now so hopefully we can all have the days we have planned 🤞

I'm starting to get worried. Our wedding is in July and we are still booking suppliers etc. as if to go ahead, but making sure everything is refundable now!

We're getting married early April 2022 so it's possible we might be impacted, but have decided it's not worth worrying about as it's not in our control, so we've just been checking with suppliers about cancellation policies etc, and keeping fingers crossed Smiley smile

We’re 23rd April- I’m honestly not worried. We’re in SUCH a better place compared to March 2020 and last December with COVID now we’ve had the vaccine roll out. The booster roll out should also help control things too. We know so much more about the virus now and that’s led to development of effective treatments for severe cases too. At the end of the day lockdowns and strict restrictions were emergency measures for a virus we knew nothing about. We know heaps about COVID now and even have an effective vaccine- I can’t think of a reason why our weddings could be affected. It’s possible things could be more restricted over the winter months, but I can’t see it being more than Plan B and only for the winter. Hope this encourages you!

Covid is ruining so many events right now. Especially weddings. I'm worried sick about it. I don't want to reschedule again. There's nowhere else to go.
