New York themed wedding reception, Ideas for a little room!

Hey lovelies,

I am getting married in NYC in July and then having a UK wedding reception party in August.

We are hiring a permanent marquee, it has an extra quite large room that some people have used as a photobooth before. I really want to utilize it with some games or something fun. There are no kids going, we just want an idea of adult entertainment / games or something we can do. I am hiring a photographer for this so I have decided not to have a photo booth.

The venue are SO awkward, we cant even bring our own cake, chocolates, drinks (understandable) or anything! We were thinking of a cocktail making station, but the venue are awkward gits.

Can anyone think of something fun we could use it for? We have a live band, and thats our entertainment really. But it would be fun to have something in this room.

Any ideas massively appreciated Smiley laugh

    I know you are having an NY theme, and this may scream Vegas to you, but seeing as it a completely adult affair, how about hiring a couple of casino tables for poker/roulette/blackjack with fun money?

    I went to an NYC themed wedding last year, it was great fun!

    My friend had organised a yellow New York Taxi photobooth which was parked up outside the marquee. I know you said you didn't want a photo booth, and not quite sure if it'd suit your venue, but it really was the cherry on top for an NYC wedding. It was similar to this:

    Hi

    The only thing I can think of, besides the casino idea or giant garden games, is something like a picture quiz...when you're in NYC take pictures in front of/at landmarks, famous roads, places etc & then print them out and have the room as guess where we were (would be great if you could do it wearing your wedding dress hehe)
