Yes, I know it's the daily vile, but is it just me that thinks this is quite refreshing to see? I just think good for her and makes me feel a bit better about my own!

I agree - as stretchmarks go they don't look particularly bad ones, either. Having stretchmarks is perfectly normal. I've had them since I hit puberty and my arse expanded rapidly.

The Daily Hate seems a bit sneering about them though.

God, why didn't anyone tell her not to wear tight jeans before a lingerie shoot? That underwear is hideous and she looks dreadful imo - the stretchmarks are the least of her worries.

I'd say the gimungous norks look worse than the stomach. Nothing wrong with big boobs but they are far too big for her frame.

Yes, refreshing to see, but God how I hate the Daily Mail. I am seething:

"But the lacy numbers weren't quite enough to distract from the stretch marks across the model's stomach and her saggy skin.

However, the ever confident 27-year-old, who has a two-year-old son, Rocky, seemed unconcerned."

Because, *** me, having stretchmarks is almost as abhorrent as those media outlets that encourage young girls to have eating disorders by their promotion of body beautiful ?

Bloody Daily Mail. Bet the article was written by a stupid man whose idea of womanhood comes from the front cover of FHM magazine.

Good on her - that's exactly what my stomach looks like after 2 kids and I'm actually really pleased to see this picture cos Ive spent the last 4 years worrying about it (slaps forehead). From now on I'm not bothering, if she can model with her post-baby tummy then I can get over myself.

You'd be depressed at how many of these bitchy articles are written by women.

WHS. The "Femail" women journalists make sexism from men unnecessary. They do a fine line in misogynist tripe on a daily basis. Now, anyway, what about this one

Ah yes. She's the moron responsible for thousands of children suffering (and in a few cases dying) because their parents were scared into denying them the MMR vaccine.

Ignorant and meddlesome - my least favouirite combination

Agreed. Besides, I think most men would be looking elsewhere and not concentrating on her stretch marks. ?

What overwhlemingly struck me was that I thought she made the underwear look terrible- not something that ultimo will be too pleased about. Her ridiculous comedy breasts just made the bras look... strange, and the rest of her figure is so unshapely that she just looks a bit.... unimaginative.

I don't disagree. The DM is notorious for this type of tripe.

Who have you been told to write bitchy things about? ?

? quite. I imagine that pitching something to the DM about how most men recognise that real women don't like like photoshopped pictures isn't likely to get me far...

Well, the quote is borrowed from the holocaust, but I think is just as applicable to your choice of workplace.

If you consciously decide to work for a publication like the daily mail, I don't think you get to distance yourself from what you or your fellow journalists are asked to (or choose to) write.

You mean the skin has to stretch when you are pregnant? Blimey, fancy that. ?

My mate is now writing for the DM online - I appreciate it's great journalist experience but I couldn't do it.

I can barely cope with mild pharmawhoring, I couldn't live with spouting out the kind of science/health news the DM reports.

PL, I thought you would know better! If you want to pitch to DM, you have to alphabetise RANDOM words.

Well I have more stretch marks than you could shake a body brush at so it's nice to know others have to (even if they do have children to show for it) but she unwittingly showed them/DM just didn't bother to touch them up like most other photos must have been I assume so I'm not really sure what the story is - are they just going to show a string of other airbrushed clebs, looking "normal" and non airbrushed and then having snide digs at their normalness? Or am I missing the point?

Stretch marks aside, why any firm would want this woman promoting their lingerie is beyond me. she s unnattractive, doesnt show the underwear off to its best, and her boobs just look totally ridiculous.

This was the point I made earlier in the thread. Also <taking it further> why would ultimo want to use a surgically 'enhanced' model for their range anyway? Ultimo claim to make cleavage boosting/ gel-filled etc bras which give you the boost without going under the knife. Doesn't that undermine their whole concept? Also, given that the majority of their audience won't have had surgery, how are they meant to see how the bra would work on non-silicon breasts?

We're not meant to see though, are we? Bravissimo make a thing about using real woman in large sizes. Well, they certainly give me a better shape and support than other places... but they still can't make mine look like the breasts in the catalogue - because they're simply not that great a shape as raw material.

It's like MaccyD. In theory, a Big Mac *could* look like the photo. Never going to though, when not made for the photoshot with appropriate lighting etc.

Off to look at these stretch marks!

    [:'(]

    I'm flouncing.

You 'orrible lot, saying how awful and disproportionate her breasts are ?

I just read it, and she's a 32G. I'm a 32GG. And you've just confirmed that when I look in the mirror and feel a bit down that they look, well... awful and disproportionate - that I'm not being silly. They really do! [:'(]

Ah well - I think mine look better for not looking plastic though. Who'd have thought it was their saggy-ness that would improve them? ?

I'm loving the first DM comment about pregnancy not leading to stretch marks, and people just using that as an excuse ?

MG, the problem with her body is that she's extremely thin but not at all toned, and then has these huge norks, crammed into a really unflattering bra. Also she looks unwell, and quite unhappy I thought.

Excatly! MG, it's the fact that her G cups are sitting up under her chin like a pair of underripe cantaloupes that makes her look so ridiculous. Hoorah for tit droop I say! ?

Also agree with sophie that she could do with eating more and exercising more- she has that kind of sluggish, malnourished look that comes from trying to get a good figure through diet alone. Also, while I do find some of the comments on that site a bit mean, she takes her clothes off for a living and so the product (her body) should bear up to scrutiny. If I turned up at a gig and sang off key/ forgot my words, I'd expect a mauling- but i know that when I choose to get on a stage and expose myself to people's opinion.

Exactly. Natural huge norks don't look unattractive. Huge plastic ones on an incredibly thin but unhealthy body look odd.
