Non traditional wedding

SunnyOrange9229, 18 of January of 2021 at 11:58 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi Ladies, recently engaged and started off with a budget plan and WOW..... How pricey are these things!!

I was thinking, a registry office (to cover the legal side of things) and then hiring a big farm house and inviting all our family and friends to a wedding blessing (or equivalent - we arnt religious) for the emotional side of things and to celebrate.

so I was wondering if anyone knows, or has previously done the same? Are there any legal requirements, price etc? Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks Smiley smile

If the farm house is in Scotland you can skip the registry and get married with a celebrant at the venue(farm if that's what you want).... not sure where you are based/ if thats an option for you. Cuts out the 2 step wedding and so everyone is able to be there for the whole thing . Good luck
