Notice of marriage

Hi there
Need help, I need to register my marriage but as we both own houses I am still registered as living in a different area so will I need to get a notice of marriage from my council and my partner from theirs? Do we do this separately or do we both have to go together? And also if my council is closed due to Covid can I get it done somewhere else?? Full on panicking now!!

Assuming you live in different council areas, I am fairly confident you will need to give notice separately. You pay per person anyway. If one of the councils is closed and not letting you give notice, I suggest you check with the council your registrar is from (possibly a third party!) what you should do. Hopefully they will be able to help.
