Lui my OH was exactly the same when I made him watch I Found The Gown, he couldn't understand why some women have tears & tantrums!
I wouldn't say its wrong that you didn't get emotional, I did but only because I never thought I'd find a dress that made me feel so lovely
As long as you love your dress that's what matters

At least your H2B is going through his list, I've been waiting for my OH's final list for over a month now ... =/

I love say yes to the dress! I didn't get emotional when I found mine either. I just knew it was the one as I didn't want to take it off and the others I tried on afterwards just got compared to it.

Currently wondering what wedding related thing I should tackle next. Make up artist I think...

His reaction is so funny to it, glad it’s not just my other h2b. I do love my dress, I think because i wasn’t dressed up in my veil I didn’t really hit home but more than likely on my wedding day it will hehe!

The list has gone to h2b if he does anything or not right now is another story lol!

It was nice, we sorted out a time which is 2pm for the wedding, we also learnt that the building holds a religious licence so we will be asked a few extra questions, this also gives us the chance of having a different ceremony and also writing our own vows if we want as they are super flexible!

I’ actually contemplating that as I think it would be a nice touch.

I think I would like to write my own vows but I’m not sure how long they would need to be. I guess that’s what I can work on and it can be however I want it to be J

Not sure h2b will want to do it although I haven’t asked him.

Right now I’m trying to work out something different to walk down the Aisle to. Not ideas at the moment, have you thought about it?

It's the little things really Littlemisspanda (can I shorten you to LMP ) I think we've booked the big things now, but yeah you're right one gets knocked off another 2 join the list! MUA, invitations, flowers, flowergirls/page boy outfits.... Oh and men's suits but my OH is insisting on sorting that but he'll definitely need a kick up the bum to do it!

Tell me about your dresses ladies! Im still obsessed with the dresses even though I've picked mine now.

AnnaMolly - I still need to choose a dress. Have to get into town one day and try some on as I'm a bit top heavy so need to find out what styles suit me. Have seen some nice ones online so will try and find them in shops so I can try them.

Have an appointment with a photographer on Thursday so hopefully if that goes well will have one more thing crossed off the list.

Have started thinking about music for the ceremony and favours (thinking of Lego for the men, not sure for the women - maybe beads/charms?)

Hows all the planning coming along?

I have just had our cake lady cancel I'm so gutted! She was so talented but has unfortunately been diagnosed with a long term illness so will not be working until further notice. I have emailed a few places today to try and get some quotes but I think her price was pretty amazing for what we are having.

Have any of you organised cakes yet, what styles are you having?

MrsWatkinsToBe- Lego sounds fun for the boys, would never have thought of that. We wanted a sweetie table but we don't think our funds will stretch so we found some mini sweet jars quite cheap in Ikea and we are naming our tables after retro sweets so thought it would be fun to fill them up as a favours.

Sounds like you have a lot of things sorted already, hopefully your OH is more organised than mine. I had to take over and buy his suit & his best man's suit as it was never going to get done otherwise *huff*

I've just ordered my wedding cake, we're having a cupcake tower with vanilla cupcakes topped with an 8 inch round chocolate cake ... yummy ...

I found it really difficult to imagine what the whole package would look like when trying on dresses, like how it would look when make up and hair is done and I don't look so white I'm translucent. Hope it comes together.

I am based in Essex, but thanks for trying to help. I am having the same as you..here are 2 pics just because I haven't flashed anything yet eeek! We are having a vintage theme and the lady who cancelled specialised in making the icing flowers, I really hope I can find someone for a similar price. I have plenty of time so I'm sure I will.

I was really scared I'd look like a ghost as I'm really pale, but I found that ivory works quite well with my colouring.
I've ordered my veil this week so I can't wait to see what it will all look like!
Now to sort out shoes and jewellery...

Future Mr's R - hehe thanks the necklace isn't part of it but I don't have any other pictures atm
I'm considering having a smaller version of the necklace custom made though if I can't find anything I like

If it's any consolation I think the icing flowers are very pretty, and I know 2 or 3 cake people who can do them just where I am so hopefully it's not an elusive skill
I don't think my Batman themed cakes will look as nice as yours!

Annamolly - This is mine, I don’t like the way the model is standing as i think she looks wierd making the dress look wierd... maybe thats just me!

I really can’t find one to walk into, well I have one which is somewhere over the rainbow – Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, it’s from my favourite film and makes me happy but I’m not sure if I should have it with the dance for me and my dad as its always been connected with me spending xmas with family when I was little.

I'm going to have "Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross as it's one of my dad's favourite songs, but I've had it edited so the part about his father passing is omitted(Inked Doll is a music genius)
I got in a bit of a pickle over the whole father daughter dance thing originally, as I've recently re-connected with my biological dad but still consider my step-dad to be my dad (I took his surname when I was 16)
I'm hoping people won't think it's weird that I choose to dance with my step-dad =/

I like that song but it’s not me and my dad. Tbh theres nothing that’s really me and my dad because we are together we are just silly idiots who plot jokes and scheme on how to make to things annoying for everyone else. Ha I may ask my h2b if he has a nice song that he would like to dance with him mum to and we can both do it.

I’m really leaving him in charge of music for the day anyway. All i need to plan is my entrance music.

Hows everything going for you? We are finally getting round to book hotels for people and we have set a time for our wedding so finally get started on working with the invites. Only have 4 months left to create them and get them printed before writing them to send out.

Hopefully I’ll be able to pay off my boardmasters ticket this month as well.

Feeling a little under the weather today and just want to sleep! Although on a side note me and my ladies have started running 6k three times a week, only need another 4 k and we will be ready for the wolf run!

I’m sure no one is going to say anything it’s your choice who you do your father and daughter dance with. Your dad is who every you want your dad to be and others should just accept that and move on.

Have you tried Googling father daughter dance songs and see what comes up? Maybe you and your dad can pick a song that you both like and use that
What sort of music do you think your H2B will arrange for you ... I actually don't want to think what I'd get if my OH was in charge!

Some dresses I saw online being modelled by so-called professionals looked horrible compared to real life. Why do they do that? Surely you want to show the dress at its best?!

LMP – I will have a google and see, my dad is very old school so if it was up to him we would be dancing to someone I’ve never heard of. I’ve still got some time before I have to settle on music so its good J I’ll check and see whats out there.

Luckily me and h2b have the same taste in music, so hes created a spotified list and hes adding ot it, as we share the account every so often I take a peak and hes not doing a bad job. Hes catering for everyone where if it was me I’d put the music we like on only and people probably wouldn’t get up and dance. Haha! Itsa just little things like this I miss out and he picks up on so it’s not bad.

Thanks lovely, so excited that im finally starting to make progress and paying things off and its not just something I have to do later on, makes it more real. Crazy I know!

Running is my thing, I was silly enough last year to sign up for the half marathon around here and as some of my friends talked me into and then dropped out of doing it so I ended up training and running it by myself. Kinda pushed me to do it and the weight I dropped helped so just keeping it up then will stop for a little bit after the wedding just to rest.

Lui - I guess I was quite lucky as I quite like "Dance With My Father", especially since I very nearly lost him due to illness about 10 years ago and would've given up anything for one more dance.

Ah good idea having a Spotify list, I'm currently adding to an iTunes playlist it's good that he's thinking of all the guests, I must confess that I need to add more music that most people will like and probably take off some of the heavy metal!
It's not crazy, crossing things off the wedding list is the best feeling ever but at the same time it makes the whole thing seem so much more real (and scary if you ask me).
That's really cool, make sure you rest up a bit though or you might nod off during the speeches :p

Oh I know, on Monday I was trying to work out our timeline and got so muddled and confused before I remembered that I haven't finished off the list of photographs that I need to give our tog.

We've been told by the dr's today that it's not something my grandma will get through, am trying to make plans to go see her now but can't actually think straight =/

Mrsbelcher2015- it was on the 2nd november on the top of a very cold hill! I took him there for a dog walk on our second date.

I'm quite organised, picked my dress when i only went to look! lol. venue, registrar, photographer, hair and make up booked. florists know when the wedding is, she is a friend of my mums so no big rush,

I've just got my invites to make and all the decorations.

I can believe how quickly its going to come round!

Have some more hugs littlemisspanda. Really sorry to hear that.

Have been into my local registry office this morning to register my intent to marry :-) Fiancé did his on Monday so another thing crossed off the list :-)

I'm now in town having a look around to see what dresses I can find and try.

Appointment with a photographer this afternoon so fingers crossed will get that crossed off too.

I feel I have missed so much these past couple of days! I have been really busy at work! I am personally responsibile for the implementation of 101 vacancies into our branches over the next 2 weeks - and its so busy, it does consume my entire day! (I'm an Recruitment Partner, for one of the worlds leading banks!)

I thought i'd quickly pop on this morning before my emails take over my day!

Lui - My weekend was lovely thank you! We have almost finished our wedding invitations, so i am really excited about that! Just need to put the finishing touches to them this weekend! After we have been to the Wedding Fayre at the Ricoh arena. I am hoping to find a cake supplier! How was your weekend? It seems so long ago now! Have you had the quotes back for your invitations? We found they were cheaper to make, hense why we have! And also, I could make as many changes to them as I wanted without feeling like I was nagging the supplier! Say yes to the dress is amazing! I love the program! Some of the families on there are completely outrageous! Thats awesome you have confirmed your wedding for 2pm! Its nice when that gets sorted as you can then plan the rest of the day! I love our timeline, we are included one in our invitations so that people can see where they are needed and at what time!

LittleMissPanda - I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. Sending you lots and lots of hugs. Is she far from you? Your veil sounds gorgeous! Your must send us flash when it arrives! I'm sure your trial will go fine, althought is always a worry even if you know the person doing it! I feel like that about my hair! I have had the same hairdresser for about 10 years, and I am still worried about how my hair will go on the day! Your dress looks gorgeous from the flash! I havent got an pics of my in mine on this computer, but my dress is Mori Lee 1864! I still have my photolist for the photographer to write, but i figured that it wouldnt take me very long! Have you sorted yours? I also need to confirm our vegetarian menu options to the caterer, as i forgot when we were there!

AnnaMolly - Good plan to get started on a MUA - thankfully I used the same lady that my friend used for her wedding and so I knew she was good, but If i hadnt have used her I would have been struggling to find one! Whats next on your MUA?

MrsWatkinsToBe - We have picked our favours and our church music! For our favours we have having mini hessian bags with miniture sticks of rock in (we have have a beach themed) and for our music we are having teh traditional wedding music into the church and out of it too! Future Mrs R - Sorry to hear about yuor cake lady cancelling. Is she able to help you out with another supplier does she know anyone?! I am looking at getting my cake sorted this weekend! I am mainly looking forward toa ll the sampling!
