Being blessed by the Boob Goddess does have it downsides! It was never my intention to have a strapless dress but its what I fell in love with
I do manage ok in strapless maxi dresses etc with my trusty Bravissmo strapless bra, so am hoping with some help from Kick A$$ Kate I should be fine...

It does look really good. I think OH and I might have to do a double bill at Cineworld ... Mad Max and Poltergeist. Thank heavens for our cinema cards!

I'm ashamed to say none of my underwear matches ... really must go shopping ...

See I have a few strapless tops but my paranoia comes into play thinking that my boobs look a bit lower than normal (they don’t its me) and that I have the fat overhang on the top which then makes me feel terrible (I have a little but it’s something I think I’ll never like about me). Although I’m not going to lie I love it when the ladies look good in a dress or top! Haha!

Ohhhhh you should definitely do the double bill! Loved mad max! Waiting till pay day so I can book Jurassic world! Wish we have a cineworld, stuck with an Odeon and showcase, the nearest one to me is rugby and after the driving, petrol wouldn’t be worth it. BOOO! Haha!

Dont worry, half of mine match, the other half a pretty much Disney pants! So yea! Plus most days the Disney pants win! Hahaha!

LMP - I'm also a big fan of Bravissimo - definitely a requirement to avoid black eyes lol. My bridesmaid looked very envious in the shop when I asked for my size, but not sure being generously gifted there is always a bonus!

Had a great morning today. Dressmaker was lovely and is able to do the alterations I need - adding a little height to the front of the bodice so I don't feel too exposed, shortening the train a little bit and adding a bustle point :-) Will see her again in August.

I have to say I'm jealous of the film talk. Pre-kids OH and I would go to the cinema so much we frequently ran out of stuff to see. How times change! I really can't wait for Jurassic Park though, I hope it's as good as it looks from the trailer.

Lui I was the same as you, I was convinced my boobs looked lower in strapless tops/dress ... until my OH took a picture of me in a 'normal' bra and my strapless one. Couldn't see a difference ?
I won't lie I like when I find a top or dress that my boobs fit in! It doesn't happen often which is why I hate shopping...

Ladies! Hello!!!

I am so sorry for being practically AWOL! I have been rather busy of late, with starting my new job, and then in March, April and May we have like 7 birthdays between our families so we were here there and everywhere! I have re read over the posts and I feel like I have missed so much!

I have made some progress since I was last here, we have picked up our wedding rings and had them engraved too. My dress has been delivered into the store and I have made my first fitting appointment! I am so excited to see the dress again! I ordered it 18 months ago!! I have also got all presents for bridal party members sorted, I have ordered and received my bridesmaid dresses their fur shrugs and the jewellery sets I have for them too! Just the shoes to go!

We have pretty much got 90% of our RSVP's back, just waiting on a couple of friends and a couple of family members on my OH side. The deadline isn't until the end of the May so they still have plenty of time! We have made our table names and ordered the lace for our order of service. They are the final thing we have to made, everything else is done.

I am just trying to think if there is anything else I have done!

How are you lovely ladies coming along?! Is there anything major that I have missed?!

Our r.s.v.p date is tomorrow and we've had hardly any back from oh's side so can't wait to chase and find out who's coming. Think we are going to have quite a few people to bump up!

October is clearly the best month and I think it would be nice to have the spa day before October if we could, may be our final chance to chill before the big day(s)!

Hehe, they look like little kitten heels in that pic but they were over 4 inches. I don't have an issue with heels normally but just the design of them made them super hard to walk in unfortunately, oh well.

They look like a normal size, it’s a shame they are a hidden heel on the photo which makes them bigger then they look as they are stunning!

This weekend has been a whirlwind! So much going on!

I've had birthday celebrations and am off ring shopping tomorrow - both loads of fun (although my birthday is Wednesday - extensions of birthday fun are great!).

I have had a bit of a set back which has thrown me a lot and I'm not sure how to react....thoughts?!

So I spoke to my best mate the other day, who is also my MOH. They have been planning my hen do for a while now, or so I thought, and then she drops a big bombshell on me saying that one of her good friends has just announced that their wedding is on the same day as my hen do. She is now not sure whether she is going to my hen do or their wedding. My hen do date has been booked for ages and the others didn't give out any STD cards. To make matters worse, I spoke to my sister and she said that she had heard nothing about my hen do and wondered what was going on. This shocked me a bit (OK, a lot!!!) as I am very organised and was rather disappointed that nothing had been sorted. As I am a teacher who also works Saturdays, I can't change the date of the hen do (although she asked me to). I'm rather sad about this as it is really the only main thing I have asked her to organise and it's not sorted and I don't even know if she will be there! My sister has offered to take over and my other BMs, who have done a lot of research, are going to help. That's great but I don't know how to react when I see my MOH tomorrow. I originally said that I obviously want her there but I am not going to stop her going to the wedding...argh....how to respond?!

Just an invite related question but how long is everyone giving people to RSVP? Me and OH couldn't agree!

We've given everyone until 31st July to RSVP.

I've been worried that this is too long. I think most venues want numbers 8 weeks before the wedding so it might be okay! :-)

Cat D - That sounds really tricky. It may be best for you to sit down and talk to her about it. She may be confused and unsure what to do. The other wedding may have been dropped on her. (may not have but if they didnt send STD's then its possible.)

Can you two not do something together on a different weekend? Like a mini hen with your MOH?

Our deadline is the 01.08.15. Our venue wants the numbers before 4 weeks before the wedding. August is really busy for me so just really given me an extra month to chase when and where I can.

AnnaMolly - I sent the majority of my invites at the end of March & the rest at the beginning of April, I gave an RSVP date of 30th June. I thought my family would be massively un-organised and figured it would give me time to chase them. As it stands at the moment I only have 6 people to chase! Oops ...
Still I figured it was best to have more time to chase and check, as I do tend to panic and get in a flap!

Sorry to hear you've had a shock about your MOH, it really is a tricky situation and I'm sure she feels bad about it as well. Understandable that you want her to be with you for your hen do, but is there a reason that her friends wedding has come out of the blue? There might be a reason why they couldn't send STD cards, or why they had to choose that date.
(I only say this as when my sister got married last year it all got pushed forward by 3 months and organised in 3 days, as her operation got moved forward. She wouldn't have the op unless she was married first. Extreme example I know, but it does happen)
Your sister might not have heard anything about the hen do yet because your MOH might have still being working out the plans? It's good that your sister and other BM's are going to take over and get this sorted for you though.
But I would suggest sitting down with your MOH and talking to her, tell her how you feel but listen when she does the same

Afternoon all!

How is everyone? So on Monday I decided to try baking my favours again as I was trying royal icing for the first time. I came across a kit on an American website which has royal icing and also edible paint.

After a while i got used to the royal icing and the end ones came out the best but the paint was a bit pants. However my friend is a baker on the side of work and she’s going to teach me to pipe so I can use royal icing all over. I’m going back to the route of using fondant for the eyes and then the royal icing for everything else. Wasn’t my best work I must say.

However thought I would flash my creations:

Had to take them into work and so did H2B, didn’t want to have them in the apartment so that I was tempted.

Lui I think your creations look great and I'll happily take them off your hands for you!
There is definitely a knack to piping but its ok once you know how
That's really nice of your baker friend to offer to help you, but I think they look fab ?
