Aww annamolly all my non-Indian friends are making the most of my wedding by using it as an excuse to go sari shopping and wear lots of bling, I think even some of OH's very traditional English family are planning to change for the evening reception so they can feel authentic while they get their bhangra on!

Lui, I remember noticing it in your invites when you flashed them and I was supposed to comment back then but didn't get a chance. I live in Coventry but I'm getting married in Stratford-upon-avon.

I hope my dress will live up to your expectations now

Are either of you having a halloween theme or touches? what colours/ themes have you gone for? how much of the planning do you have left to do?

We are super close then as I live in Coventry too! Very very small world hey! Oh where in Stratford are you getting married!? Love Stratford! Had a pre hen do there the other week at the four teas so many of the girls could get to know each other!

I have no doubt your dress will be even nicer than what I imagine!

We don't have a Halloween theme, we are having a day of the dead theme as Halloween is the start of that festival and it's something me and OH really love and part of my heritage on my Spanish side. So the glass skulls are being painted up currently to look like sugar skulls. Each table centre piece will be a little shrine that Mexican and Spanish people build over that festival to honour their families.

Anyway, how's everything going for you now?

Oh well it certainly is a small world! I'm getting married at the Stratford manor hotel, although i'm having wedding coordinator issues at the mo... the first one that we really liked left in March and handed over to the next one who is also now leaving and handing over to another ? I've emailed the head of the events team at the hotel in hopes she would reassure me and to be fair she has said when we have a meeting with the new one she'll meet us too and she'll oversee our wedding because of how many changes there have been. They have our money now anyway so there isn't much we can do about it

I haven't been to the four teas although I have heard great things about it, a pre hen do is a great idea! wish I had thought of that too

Your theme sounds awesome. I did see the skulls and they look great, I can't wait to see how your centrepieces/shrines turn out. I love that the day of the dead is such a colourful family oriented festival.

Oh that venue is beautiful! It was in my place list to look at but never got round to it! Glad I didn't as you can have your wonderful wedding there now!

Wow they are going through wedding coordinators! Hopefully they can reassure you that everything is ok! I imagine as long as the head of the department has all your information and plans that it should go off without a hitch (excused the terrible pun there!). The good side of the change is that now you may get someone with fresh eyes and ideas that will give you things that you may not have previously thought about!

if you get a chance to go to the four tears I do recommend it, the afternoon tea is wonderful! Little Miss Panda was on about a trip to Cadbury world! I should take her there too, I imagine she would love it!

I would like to report that in fact she did say yes and her ring is beautiful! The boy did good!! We were all at a christening (same groups of friends) and we all received a text message telling us. Was so happy!! Awww thats sweet, I believe something is in the air, Paris is such a romantic city that it would be same if you went and that didn’t happen. Is your work friend all super exited?

God, 6.30 is not a time I ever see unless there’s something wrong with me, however I have a feeling I would be the same due to excitement on the day, may have to have the pro plus on hand haha.

Have you tried Etsy for a garter? There are a lot of beautiful ones on there that may be affordable for you? I had a nose before i brought one, then realised I’m not a fan of my legs and only OH will see it so just brought a plain but pretty one with bits of blue.

I’m good thanks! Went down south at the weekend and super tired now. OH is finally talking about sorting his suits in the next few weeks. He wants to have him and his BM in one colour and his GM in another, however i’m not a fan said he should just have him in one colour and the rest in another, which hes not a fan of! Hi all, I was trying to post from my phone this morning but the screen kept doing weird things because of this new 'improved' hitched so I gave up.

Lui- I've gone for cadburys purple, silver, black and a few hints of orange. My centrepieces are black birdcages with strings of diamantes hanging between the bars of the cages. Has your wedding coordinator been really helpful then? I thought they were just there to organise timings, menus liase with your decor people etc. It's funny you said about looking at my venue, I requested a brochure for yours Because I wanted outside caterers for the evening I had to rule it out along with many others.

Cat- I don't know whether to go for the old, new, borrowed, blue. I have the new with almost everything and the blue with the Tottenham garter but can't think of an old or borrowed

Hope everyone had a good evening and slept well considering it was a lot cooler ? YEY!

Hallowedding - Those colours are lovely, be a nice mix and bring splashes of colour. Your centrepieces sound amazing! Where did you get your black bird cage from? I’m currently in the middle of spray painting ours.

Luckily the coordinator is so lovely and been super helpful. Every time I email she’s responded and some days she sent me random emails about stuff that would suit our theme. I think I’m really lucky as she’s the type of person I get on super well within my personal life anyway. There’s another one there who’s completely different and would make me unsure of things. I think they play to their strengths and taken on the couples they know each person would get on well with.

I can see why, I was confused on the whole they couldn’t use the kitchen but then I get it, it means you go with their guys and to be honest it was just easier for us that way any way. Plus the food is awesome so we are happy.

Just funny how things work out, so glad we weren’t in any venue war, I was so scared that would happen cause I’m terrible and would feel bad about it.?

Oh sorted the suits at the weekend, he walked into primark picked out the only grey suit they had, tried it on and it looked really good so he bought all the groomsmen one. £40 a suit then he paid £30 for a waistcoat from next. Took him all of 15 minutes to get them lol. Just need to get his one usher suit ordered now and hope that none of them change size before the wedding.

I've got a busy few weekends coming up. This weekend I'm having a dress fitting then we're going to the venue for our final metting. Then the weekend after we're got a friends weeding to go to then afer that it's my hen! Feel like time is flying now and I still haven't sorted any of the D.I.Y I wanted to do, keep putting it off because I'm rubbish at it lol.

I am excited about my dress. My moh and my mum were supposed to be coming with me but they've both cancelled, still can't wait to try it on again though.

I didn't feel great about it last time because it didn't fit properly and I've lost weight since I last tried it on so it's probably still not going to fit but at least it won't fit for a good reason! I haven't tried on my veil with it yet so that will be fun.

Make placecards

Do prop box

Decorate jam jars

Make favors

Buy a hoop for my dress

Get bits for my overnight bag (I seem to have a really long list of things to take to the hotel)

Decide on ceremony music and get it put onto a CD

Decide on must have photo's and email TOG

Pay balances

Then there's a few more things that I can't do until nearer the time. I'm sure once we've had our meeting with the venue I'll add to the list!
