Lui. we have booked a manor house in Tadcaster, (white Rose Manor house if you fancy a nosy!) just outside York from Friday 2nd Oct, nibbles and games friday night then a Knicker workshop on sat afternoon, it should be lots of fun creating and embellishing knickers and a good ice breaker! then out into York for food and drinks, we have booked a restaurant for a prosecco reception followed by food and cocktails then back to the house to continue partying Im not really a clubby person and my mum hates pubs and my MIL is nearly 80 so I think it caters for everyone!

The panda pics are helping me get through this very early start. Up at 2.30 after only for hours sleep, urgh the joys of cabin crew!

has anyone ever painted a pumpkin? I won't have a chance to do them on the day obviously and I'm worried if I carve them and paint them the day before they will start to go bad. Or condensation from keeping them cool will make the paint run. I asked for some a advice in hobby craft yesterday but they didn't have a clue. When I googled it, a lot of American stuff came up so I'm not sure if certain products are available here?xx

Sarapoppy - a work colleague of mine had painted pumpkins at her wedding last Autumn, but they were spray painted, although I'm not sure how far in advance she painted them? I would think spray paint would be your best bet one or two days before?

Ah so we've finalised numbers and almost finalised the food, just need to go for a tasting session to confirm what we want etc. Thinking of telling them we can't decide on dessert so that we can just eat loads of cake ha ha.

Got a dress fitting tomorrow too, it will need taking in two full sizes so fingers crossed they can do that or I'll be back to square one trying to find a dress! ☹️ the seamstress said it should be fine...

I seem to be finding myself in equal throes of excitement and worry these days! Anyone else feel the same??

I know LMP, I must be mad! Yeah I do like it, I used to be brunette about 5 years ago, then got fed up of the maintenance so I grew it all out! Now I'm fed up of my natural colour lol!

any suggestions for pumpkin painting would be very welcome. I did look at spray paint but I think I'm more worried about the actual holes and the pumpkin starting to fit. The very latest I could do it would be the day before. My fiancé is now starting to say that it sounds like too much trouble :-/ I've had my heart set on this idea for a year now and can't imagine having anything else.

Hello lovelies! Did we get anything productive done over the weekend? I got my dress sorted, instead of altering it (it needed taking in two sizes!) they just swapped it for a brand new one! How good is that?! I put another post up about the shop as I was so impressed with the service from them. Here's a couple of pics, the only full length one is from my MOH as she sent me a "before and after" pic ha ha. Please excuse the black bra straps too, obv won't be having those on the day.

SaraPoppy I'm also hoping to paint some pumpkins. I think I'll be in the supermarket the week before my wedding buying up all their stock! These are my favourite pumpkin decorating ideas I found on Pinterest, some of them seem like they would be quite easy (in theory at least).

As for the OH and I, we sorted the final cake design and flavour. We also got all the stuff we need for it as my MIL is making it...exciting! On top of that, we ordered our favours and gifts, and finalised our whole guest list - yay! I'm sorting out place name cards today, have my first dress fitting tomorrow, menu tasting Wednesday, first hen do on Saturday and sorting flowers and tables on Tuesday of next week! Busy, busy, busy!
