Sorry Ladies, I have been trying to catch up yesterday on sleep, let’s just say this hasn’t worked. I’m now currently sitting at my desk tired, sunburnt and thinking I’m on a hill; however it was the best weekend ever!

I’ve only got a few photos but thought I would share what I have.

So on Thursday night, we drove from Coventry to Bracknell and stayed at OH mum’s place, this is so we could pick up another hen who lived down there and we would all drive together. We got there at 11pm and went straight to be as we were getting up at 3.30am. We meet the other hen and then drove to Newquay, stopping just outside of Bristol.

When we got to newquay it was so hot and we were dragging all our stuff to the VIP section. We found a spot, which was on a hill (this is why i feel like im on a hill at the moment, i haven’t adjusted!) So after setting up we had a few drinks and my MOH and bridesmaid pulled out a bride t-shirt, a pink veil, l plate, and a sash. They know i’m not a fan of this stuff so they blooming loved it hahah!

This is the first photo i have of me wearing part of it. I haven’t got the rest yet! Hahaha!

So we went into the festival, had a look around and then something to eat. We went to the VIP bar where we had some cocktails and i got given a free tequila shot! Haha! There was an awesome cocktail company there (think they were on DTTB on the London roof top wedding). We mooched around more and then went to watch lower than Atlantis and faithless, who were amazing. After that some headed to bed while me my MOH and my bridesmaid went to see Karl from the libertines, didn’t get back until 1.30, so around 22 hours awake hahaha!

Camping, I frozen the first night but added more clothes and was sorted.

The next day was beautiful so we heading to Fistrel beach where we watched surfing and I became a crispy little Lui. I missed some places with the sun cream and well i was red hahah!

That night we went to see Rudimental, not a fan but was good! We ended the night with dominos pizza. There was a little drama but it passed.

Sunday was cloudy but nice, so we headed back to fistrel and looked around, had some dinner and then went back to the site. 2 people went to a shisha tent while the rest of us drank and took some stuff back to the car so we didn’t have as much to carry and made a few friends on the way. Couldnt go anywhere with out someone talking to us hehe! Everyone was so friendly. We watched Bastille who were amazing and then we went to see the darkness who again were amazing.

We got back to the tent about 1.30 again. After a few hours, the rain came down and woke everyone in camp. We all got soaked going to the toilets so at 7 we all started packing away. We were away in our cars at 8.30 which was awesome.

After a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng drive home, I think i got back about 1ish. Had a massive shower, food and just enjoyed being clean.

I heard that the festival was great this year with the perfect festival atmosphere. I might go one year! ?

Cornishbride -You should! Hehe! Its such a nice one compared to some of the others I’ve been too, feels more relaxed and everyone there is just there to have fun. Cant believe your close and you haven’t gone. Are you near to newquay?

Stephied – Amazing that they gave you a new one and the detail of your dress is so beautiful, suits you very well!!

I actually live in Plymouth, so it's just little over an hour to get to Newquay. We're always in Cornwall on days out, and I've been stuck in the festival traffic plenty of times but never actually gone. And that's strange because I LOVE festivals! ?

Lui your hen do sounds fab! Love the picture of you in your hen do gear ?
I'm guessing the tiredness and sunburn are totally worth it, the travelling sounds like a bit of a killer thou ... but yay for free tequila and Dominos pizza ?
Glad to hear you had mostly nice weather at least the rain waited till the Sunday...

Being in VIP was good as there was more space and also flushing toilets and showers!!

I didn't make them, no chance! A lovely lady called Helen runs a company called Heartfelt Flowers, and she's done it all for me (it was only when I met her for the second consultation that I realised her daughter is one of my old school friends!).

I know, showers, flushing toilets, it was like heaven. We only went places for the loo that was VIP because of it.

I think its the way forward from now on hahaha.

My weekend was good thanks, I filled half of my favour boxes with goodies that I bought on Amazon. Naturally had to taste them and I was really pleased ?
My mum's friend is due to finish making the rest of boxes soon so I can get the favours all done.
Just have to hope both families will like them now!

Also had our engagement shoot on Sunday, should get the pictures from that this week sometime.

Shes at the chatty stage, you know where its noises but adorable noises. Haha! I doubt her parents will let her talk back to them! They are our best friends and I can see them being slightly strict hahah!

Aww such a lovely weekend! I think your right you do need test them, I mean how will you know that they are ok for your guest? Without tasting them you just won’t know! I should really make up my favour boxes and finish doing the name places but right now I just can’t be arsed haha!

Next week or the week after I’m going to start on my seating plan, by this I mean getting my SIL to write on the mirror as her hand writing is nicer than mine!

Lui - Your hen do looked amazing! I've never been to a full on festival (odd as I'm a Music teacher) but this sounds like the perfect intro to one! I feel your pain about the rain though as we had that at my friend's hen do a couple of weeks ago!

LMP - Your flowers look great! Really pretty and the colours fit really well together!!

LMP and Stephied - My cake is going to be a lemon Madeira cake with butterscotch buttercream in the middle. The actual cake will be a deep red colour with a pearlised white edible cakelace design on it.
As for the hen do, I am slightly worried...I am always known for not being able to drink as I have to drive a fair way home (and often have work the next day too) so I think they are going to pile on the drinks! All I have been told is to turn up at 3pm and eat my cupboards bare before I turn up lol. I'm sure it's gonna be fun and full of international traditions as our team is from all over the world
The dress fitting went well today - I don't think I need to lose any more weight and I only need one more fitting after today. It felt much nicer once it was taken in with pins and looked better too!

I have also been busy at home today after the dress fitting...I have cut all of the bits needed for my place name cards and started making/decorating the bridesmaids gift boxes and have either got all of the bits for it/they're on the way

I'm looking forward to the menu tasting tomorrow!!

It was really lovely, we got so lucky with the weather and actually had a giggle as well. I was really grumpy about it as I hate having my photo taken but our TOG is so nice we just chatting away while he was snapping away.

Not too much to report here really, except that I'm now organising OH's stag do. Like I haven't got enough to do!!

LMP – Of course I shall flash when she has done it, I have to sit down with her shortly and get it sorted as shes a busy lady as shes a bridesmaid for someone else the week before and has that hen do and then its hers and my brothers 30th birthday as well so they will completely booked out.

I’m going to pick up the name place stuff from my parents but may just let it sit about, currently working on a activity pack for the 4 kids we have on the day.

Please tell me how I ANTM a photoshoot!! I've got my engagement photos in a couple of weeks and I HATE my photo being taken. I'm sure my photos will be terrible ?

Loving the ANTM engagement shoots!! We didn't have one, it's not really our thing. We are quite pose-y though so I expect we'll have the tog up the wall on the wedding day!

Cat D - that cake sounds incredible!! Make sure you get a pic! (and a piece!!) and yes, make sure you line that belly before drinking lots!

LMP - that's terrible about OH's mates. Men are so bl00dy laid back about everything aren't they?! My OH kept asaking his best man to come down (from Manchester to Liverpool, not the other end of the country or anything!) and go suit shopping with him but he just never got around to it, so I ended up going with OH instead. When we were in the shop there were loads of groups of men picking up wedding suits and he said to me, "see, I feel like I should be doing this with my mates". I felt really sorry for him!

(but also secretly glad that I got to go and have some say in what he chose ha ha)

I'm so excited for my hen parties now they're nearly here! First one on 29th August, just going for a meal and into town for drinks. Not sure what my MOH has planned but think she'll have booked a VIP booth or something in a nice bar.

Then the weekend after it's Magaluf with the girls! I REALLY canny wait ha ha ? ?

I'll admit, I've missed the latest series on Sky - Planner didn't remind me and by the time I noticed it, it was already several episodes in. I'll catch up with it at some point.

The latest few series have got on my nerves anyway, so much less inclined to watch.

I read that article (awesome, btw!) and plan to hips, neck and smize through the engagement shoot. Tyra will be proud of me!

Pooba – this season isn’t the best one so far and i think its gone a bit wrong since they started doing theme ones, however seeing the males side of it is interesting as you get to see if from their side of things and what they have to go through with it being a female dominated industry.

Stephied – Not long until your hen party!! Sounds so good on both of them!! Are you all ready for them? You’ll have to tell us all about both of them when you come back!

Stephied - Your first hen do is the same date as my main one and I'm really looking forward to it! All I've been told is to meet my sister at 11am in Green Park, most activities are in Central London and I need to bring a white top to cover my bum as it's part of my outfit lol.

Cornishbride - I know the feeling! I have done pretty much all of the planning and all I ask is for a couple of things to be ordered that he has to pick out but alas, still not done after 3 weeks of asking.

I'm loving the article about modelling tips although, as a short, small-chested lady, I don't think I want to make my chest look any smaller lol! It does seem a little crazy you all talking about your engagement shoots as we had ours ages ago!! Neither of us are good with having our photo taken but we managed to get some great shots! Anyone want to see a couple? Our photographer even make a video out of them lol.

I will post pics of the bridesmaids boxes when they're done but it will be a while yet as I am getting my Dad to make personalised T-shirts and robes for us on the day and that will take a little while.

Just been purchasing an umbrella for the day and about to get some personalised hangers *trying not to spend too much* eek!
