So I ordered a nutri ninja this morning. I've been inlet down over the last of the baby weight and I'm determined to shift it before the wedding!! I'm going on my hen do tomorrow so hopefully it will be here by the time I get back ready and waiting for me to start my detox!

I've decided not to carve my pumpkins now. I'm going to just paid them and out shape the lights round them. I can hide the battery pack under the table runner and cover it with pine cones... Hopefully!

I've now bought the wedding hangers, I got my OH to buy his cane handles (yes, him and the man from the best couple are having canes...) and have nearly finished decorating the bridesmaids boxes...I'll flash them when they are more complete. I've also sent a message to a supplier to see if I can get some personalised badges for our best couple

Exciting week coming up - first hen do tomorrow, sorting out flowers and decs on Tuesday, getting my hair done on Thursday, a best mate's wedding on Friday (which I've been asked to play her entrance and exit music) and then my sister's wedding reception next Saturday (she got married in Vegas a little while ago)...woo!

I'm a bit sad and a bit angry. It's me hen do/birthday tomorrow and we'd organised a night out in Newcastle (about 45 mins from where I live). My two childhood best friends are coming up and I literally can't wait to see them - haven't seen them in three years due to 300 miles apart/money/me having a baby/them travelling etc etc.

Anyway I booked a minibus for everyone up here and paid a £50 deposit. One by one this week people have been dropping out - including my sister in law and mother in law who have decided to go the the Lake District instead - and a lot of those who coming have relatives who have become poorly in the last week :/ I'd rather they say I'm skint or I don't want to go instead of concocting stories about their mam being ill, yet posting pictures on the beach drinking lager with her yesterday ;-)

Anyhoo, there's about 7 of us going now so it should still be a good night

sorry I've been away work has been crazy as we have been short staffed. I've also had to work back in my customer service role to help out instead of my HR role! Makes me sad because well I dislike customers ??! Ah well it's the weekend now!

Firsttimebride - sorry to hear that you have people drop out so close! It is annoying when they just can't seem to say they don't want to go and have to make excuses. I think people get scared of upsetting brides with stuff like this but in all honesty we would rather hear that the truth then some lie. I'm sure the rest of you will have am amazing time and you have a wonderful hen do and birthday!

I haven't done much wedding wise as I've been trying to catch up on sleep, taking lmp advice! Today I've got the colour run which I'm well excited for but then after that it's all on for the name places ect. I have my dress fitting which is exciting in two weeks time! My dads a sweetheart and told me that I don't have to pay him back for alternations I have, I had to ask him for help because my budget didn't cover it (stupid me) but I said I would pay him back afterwards because I'll have a little more cash. Told me he didn't have to. I'm still going to plonk some money in his account. There's nothing he can do now I have his bank details hehe. I also have a day off work on the 24th I'm so excited hahaha. As you know I've gone 8 months so far with out a day off so I'm looking forward to sitting on the sofa and having a pj day haha.

So my (not exciting but exciting for me) news is that our wedding rings turned up!
Their absolutely gorgeous, even though I have to send mine back for resizing.
Made OH laugh though as he thought his ring wasn't going to come off when he tried it on...I snuck up behind him and whispered "It's never coming off, your mine now *evil laugh*" ??

Also went shopping with my mum yesterday and we managed to get her shoes, a handbag and a hairpiece. I got a bit choked up when I saw it all together, I'm so emotional lately it's a right pain!

LMP – Well you know they are the be all and end all of the world hahaha!

I am so rested, just spent the weekend doing hardly anything. I did the colour run and kind of gave up doing anything else. Slept so much. It’s great!! Did you have a lovely weekend?

I know he’s so sweet, I was speaking to him over dinner, I’m, going to get him something more than just the father of the bride gift which OH has sorted. I’m on a hunt for a lovely card and will look at buying him is favourite whisky on top of paying him back!! Dads are such good eggs!

Hahah I like the idea of it magically appearing in his account! Haha! I feel like a wizard!?

I can’t wait for a day off, just got 4 more days and then 3 day weekend and then another 3 day weekend afterwards because it’s a bank holiday! Best end of the month ever hahah!

LMP your rings are beautiful! I can't wait to get my wedding band. I had to let the jewellers have my engagement ring for 3 weeks so they could design the band around it. I finally have it back and now impatiently waiting for the wedding band!

I think I've bit a slump in wedding planning. It's the bits I'm not looking forward to doing like having my hair and make up trial or making the paper pom-poms! I should just do it and get it out the way!

The hen do was fab. Very civilised! We went to a spa in Basingstoke. We had a few treatments, a few cocktails and lots of laughs. Then an early night. We were in bed my 10.30! It was perfect though! We are all in our 30's and most of us have children so we used the opportunity to get a proper nights sleep. Unfortunately I was working the next day though :-/ I'm currently on standby so just waiting to called for a flight.

Anyone fancy making these pom-poms for me?!

I had a lovely weekend thanks, OH & I had a massively lazy Saturday morning/afternoon and I spent the evening at my friends having cuddles with her gorgeous little baba ?

Lui I work for BA. I love my job but it's hard to get motivated for a call out! Plus it's getting more difficult to leave my son and to make matters worse our Nanny has just told us she has found another job, whaaaaa! Let the interview process commence!

I'll pop a pic of my engagement ring up. It will prob be huge and at the top of the post. I have no idea how to flash properly from my phone! I'm not sure what the wedding band will look like. The jeweller was sketching away and trying to make me see it from all angles. In the end I told my fiancé to design it. Our friends dad is making it so I'm confident it will be beautiful and this way I get another little surprise :-)

I can imagine it’s a hard role with the early starts and travelling all the time. Are you based at one airport or can you go from any? Must be hard to plan things in with your son when you’re on standby as you could be gone any moment or you could be there and have a day you could have spent with him.

I hope you find a nanny soon! Do you have a notice period with her?

Lui is quite right (as always!) I have made bridesmaid boxes for my BM, MOH & mum. They were easy to do though, I got the boxes from Home Sense and then filled them with perfume sets, pj's, a champagne glass and necklace ?

Lui - Aw my friends little one is just too cute! She's 4 months old now and is proper giggling, just makes me go all baby gaga ?
Was really nice catching up with my friend as well, she said that she now regrets not being a bridesmaid (she asked me if she could be a guest when she found out she was pregnant). Had to spend about an hour convincing her that it was all ok, and that I'm still going to need her on the day even if she's not wearing a bridesmaid dress ... think she appreciated that.

I'm having an absolute nightmare trying to sort out OH's stag do, his brother is being so horrible to me! I had to text OH this morning a copy of all his messages so now he's fuming and promised to tell his brother to leave me alone. All of the drama and it's not even midday yet...

Lui - I love the baby giggles stage as well, absolutely anything used to set my niece off and she was adorable!

Hi Lui! Well you've certainly done a class A job of your decorations lovely, I suppose you don't mind having a go when it's your day and you've got a specific idea in mind do you!

We hadn't decided for favours, bandied a few ideas around, but we're having some personalised little brown paper sweet bags, then for the sweets we're going to put fudge and toffee (for the Autumn theme) and also make some chocolate lollipops and hearts etc ourselves! OH bought all the molds ha ha! I can see what will happen here, we'll start off making them "together" which will be him supervising me in the kitchen. Then he'll get bored and I'll end up sat on the kitchen floor with melted choc smeared all over my face ha ha ? (or am I hoping that will happen ha ha...)

Hopefully will be a nice touch! what are you doing for yours? Again, you've probably told me at least a hundred times but this thread is so long you lose track ha ha

EDIT - re the visa, I think the embassy is in London and we've got zero annual leave left! So will have to have a stab at the old fashioned postal method, fingers crossed! You've got to do part online and part by postal application I think ️?️

Thought I would pop by and say hello! I've worked out that on Saturday there will only be 10 weeks until my wedding and I'm freaking out a bit! Wedding planning has taken a back seat as our house sold in less than 24 hours and it looks like we may have to move out in October and find new preschool/nursery places for the kids. I'M NOT STRESSING AT ALL. NOPE NOT ME ??

I did make a lovely little IKEA trip and picked up some jars for my trick or treat table so I've done something I guess ?

I've also got my first dress fitting next week which is worrying me as I'm a bit paranoid that it's too short. I swear the stress of everything is making me age about 10 years, which is a good look for the wedding!

I hope everyone is a lot less stressed than me!
