We ordered our cake from Waitrose yesterday. We've had samples, it's yummy and very good value.

Argh I was really excited for hen do 2 this weekend, but my MOH has dropped out today ? by group text message! I've tried to phone her, she's not picking up, the other girls have messaged her...she said she feels like she's not been a very good MOH, doesn't feel "emotionally up to going" as she'll be in work the day after we get back. We've all got jobs, stresses, bills to pay etc. I just can't believe she'd leave it this late. I don't think she's been a particularly great MOH either but I have certainly never mentioned this! I just hoped the BMs would be there when I need them and so far, they have been.

I had other people drop out of hen party 1 by text on the night like, "I've cut my leg open lol, just on the way to a&e". (before I sound awful, I knew this girl would drop out, she's a massive flake, and unless I see stitches I do not believe it ha ha!) one or two just didn't show...

Just really disappointing when you think of all the hard work we've put into wedding planning, these things are supposed to be the fun parts

Oh no I’m sorry to hear about your MOH. Big hugs lovely. Is there something that’s made her feel this way? I mean I know you have mentioned she hasn’t been great but do you think others may have mentioned something at all or she just got a vibe?

Hopefully you will be able to get in touch with her and you will be able to speak things through and find out why she’s feeling this way. Hopefully everything gets sorted

Afternoon everyone, away for a day and lots to catch up on ... I think we talk too much ?
31 days to go ???
So I'm currently on Day 15 of a horrifically banging headache, complete with nausea. Went to see my doctor yesterday, and he's completely stumped.
I have to go back for blood tests next week. So not what I need right now!!
Despite that I managed to have a good time on Saturday with my girlies, afternoon tea at The Hilton was yummy and I'd highly recommend it. We all left feeling rather fat ?

Can I ask you lovely ladies for your opinion?
OH and I are considering buying some of the cutting bars from M&S for our evening do. My mum did offer to make us a cake for the reception. but I don't want her to have the pressure of making a cake for 120 people!
I thought if she made a normal sized cake we can do the whole cake cutting thing, and then give out pieces of shop bought cake. Not sure if it's a good idea or not though.

BJNL - I totally agree with you that we should make the most of our time as brides. So many people have told me how quick it goes, so I fully intend to get the best out of it!
You'll feel so odd with your engagement ring, I know I do. OH bought me a nice 'temporary' ring (nothing expensive!) but it's not quite the same.
That's great that your seating plan was quite painless, I've h?eard some horror stories! I think you & I must be the lucky ones as mine wasn't too bad either.
Your friends wedding sounds lovely, whereabouts in Wiltshire was it? Glad you had nice weather, it's been a bit iffy this weekend.
That's good that you managed to book the videotogpher that you wanted ? OH and I were originally dead set against it, so my Dad went and bought a camcorder and taught my BIL how to use it properly. So we will have a wedding video after all!
Try not to worry about your OH's stag do, I'm sure he'll be fine and behave himself. I know it's easier said than done, my OH is going to Monza tonight with my dad and won't be home till Monday ... I'm already freaking out!

Glad to hear your fitting went well, it's amazing how many of us forget that we need to sit down in our dresses it never crossed my mind until my first fitting.
With regards to the veil I can only echo what's been said. I was told to hang my veil in a steamy bathroom as the creases then drop out and there's no damage to the material.
I'm not sure what questions you should be asking, I'be had a mind blank! Do you want to post your questions and see if we can add to them?

I have heard a few people on a Facebook group I’m in use the cake bars and said it’s a really good idea. A lot of them are not cake people so they do this to have less cake. I think it’s a good idea and less pressure for you and your mum. ?

I’m going to try the veil trick at my parents on Sunday I think as their bathroom gets a lot steamier than ours. I’m just going to run the shower and see what happens. Anything is better than nothing.

So far question wise I have:

When do you need final payment? (i think i know but i need to move money from accounts so a specific date would be great!)

What time can we come decorate?

Where can we place the evening people who turn up slightly early or if we run over?

How long will it take you to turn over the room from day to night?

Will the juice be in jugs on the table?

Will the staff come round and ask people about the tequila?

Do we need to come back on the Sunday to clean up?

Do you have an easel or something to place the mirror seating plan on?

Which entrance is best for the wheelchairs to go through?

Do we need to decorate the ceremony room more?

Is it ok to leave some cars here?

Apart from that I’m like you and mind has gone blank.

Getting excited about my tea party hen do this Saturday ... and it's 1 month today!!

Lui - I wish rest would help shift this headache, I've now had it for 16 days and it's really getting on my last nerve. I'm having blood tests on Monday as the Dr admitted that he was stumped! He has given me some strong painkillers that have dulled it a bit, but it's still lurking.
I've tried absolutely everything, I'm drinking lots of water and going to bed early but it's still not budging.
And of course Mr Panda left for Monza last night with my dad and 2 of my (not so) little brothers so I'm all alone and feeling very sorry for myself ??

Would definitely recommend going to The Hilton for afternoon tea if you get chance, it was lovely and the food tasted as good as it looked ?

Thank you for saying about the cake bars, I'm thinking of getting a chocolate ones and a fruit one as I know some of our guests will like the traditional fruit cake. Nice and easy to stick into a cake box as well that way!

Hopefully the nurse will say your ear is all better now and it won't need washing out. That sounds icky if it does ?

Hope everyone is well?

I'm all excited for my hen do on Saturday. I still know nothing! The girls at work have been doing lots of whisphering, and apparently loads of emails have been flying around!

Although, the hotel emailed and said they'd upgraded my room to the suite, so if that defo happens, that will be nice! (perk of working in travel i think!)

I'm having my nails done tonight and my eyebrows shaped. Kinda like a trial run to see for the wedding, I've never had any pampering type things done before, so it's a first!

I've got my make up trial Saturday morning at 9.30 and then we catch the train to Sheffield at 1.30!

I've got a busy 3 weekends with hen do, then we're seeing Michael Mcintyre and my dress fitting the following weekend... after that it only leaves me 4 weeks to get stuff done! eek!

LMP.. sorry to hear your suffering with headaches. I sympathise. I suffer with migraines and am on long term medication to reduce/prevent.

LUI.. hope your ear is getting better now.

My OH didnt think he was going to get any kind of stag do, but it looks like his BM has finally stepped up to the plate, so think they are off to Blackpool on the 19th!

LMP – Oh no lovely, have a big hug!! Things will get better and they will find out what’s causing it. It may be your body being tired and overworked due to planning a wedding, working extra shifts and having a social life! Least the doctor is looking into it, that’s the main thing. Hopefully the tests may highlight something simple or confirm any suspicions he may have of you just being tired. Even though your going to bed early, your rushing around with everything else and working Saturdays and your body has just hit the wall. I imagine its something along those lines! Big hugs lovely and your not alone! You have my email, feel free to take it home and email me when your at home if your lonely! That way your never alone!

The cake bars are such a good idea! Plus i imagine they are something you would be able to sell on quite easily to other brides. Who ever imagined them is a clever sausage.

Hm to steam up a bathroom I'd suggest running a bath and letting it steam up that way. Is there a shower hook or towel rail you can hang your veil from?

with a heavy heart I have to tell you that with 7 weeks to go we have called off the wedding. I'm absolutely devastated. I've mentioned before how things have been hectic and it's just got the better of us. We need to work on our relationship and maybe consider the marriage thing in the future.

I hope the week has gone well

My OH is in Amsterdam on his stag and the photos on Facebook are quite something! They are all in Hawaiian shirts but they've put an extra special garland around his head and a hula, hula skirt! I'm all good with it and am super busy this weekend.

We are having a three tiered cake and extra bars to make sure there is enough for everyone too. I'm rather partial to a bit of fruit cake, maybe that makes me an old dear too

I'm in the process of planning my hen part III and we are going to go for a spa day. The main hen is a night of salsa in London and I did a little pamper with my Mum.

I'm going to get on with trying to attach a ticker to posts before I run out of time!
