Well this is why it's strange, the wedding ring and engagement ring both fit fine on their own.
And it's comfortable when I put the wedding ring on top of the engagement ring ... it's just when I try to wear the engagement ring on top of the wedding ring that it really hurts ?

I know their right size, and I've them on in the morning and evening...

Yes in the centre of the maze we shall meet with a picnic hehe! Tell me about not being able to afford anything, in the next few weeks we have my brothers and SIL 30th my best friend’s birthday and my dads birthday and all before the wedding and payday. I may just cry now! Haha!

Thats what I’m planning to do once its cleaned, just not wear it, wear my fake one instead! Least that way it won’t get dirty again.

In what way does the ring hurt? Is it that the ring could be pushed down causing it to hurt? Although once your married dont you wear wedding ring, engagement ring, eternity ring? Or may i thinking about it wrong? I’m just going to wear the rings how i want haha! I’m useless like that.

LMP - how kind of them to surprise you with the mini moon! York is a beautiful place as well, I'm sure it'll be lovely. Those memes made me laugh! Is there any girl who doesn't grow out of Disney?! When we were looking at venues I actually considered Disneyland, but then realised our Nans would never be able to make the flight etc. It wasn't too expensive either from what I remember!

Rachhj33 - that to do list will get right down no problem, I think we all tend to have little "bursts" of energy where we get tons of stuff done over a day or two, then we go back to a lull ha ha...

Mrs FRtobe - yay on your ESTAS! We did our visas the other day for Sri Lanka and India - my god the India one was a nightmare! They wanted like my mum's cat's first meal etc.! All approved though which is a good thing, was not looking forward to having to re do them!

BJNL - so you're another crazy dreamer! They're awful aren't they? Makes you wonder why your brain thinks up such hideous stuff ? we had issues with invites too - "i'm not coming unless my boyfriend can.." We did our very best to accommodate OH's extremely huge family into our venue and now that we're almost 3 weeks away, people are dropping out! We've paid for a creche for the children, and now 4 of them aren't coming (which is £100 lost). A few adults have said they're not coming either, luckily we've not paid the caterer yet but will be in the next week. If anyone drops out after that I'll be furious!

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments about my leaves! I hope they look ok when they're done. I need to redo the table plan now people have left, but think I'll give it another week to make sure. Seriously, who does that?! So close to a wedding...

Work has just been very poop and I was made redundant again 9 weeks ago (this is the 3rd time this year) however I have a new job, I've had it for 5 weeks and I'm very excited to be getting married in 15 days...

How are you my lovely?! I don't like this new layout of the forms! It doesn't show peoples countdowns anymore! How many days is it till your wedding now?!

The job thing has honestly been horrendous, it just isn't my year when it comes to jobs!

On the wedding front everything is done apart from really little things! If I set my mind to it, I could get them done but I keep putting them off!

Its just little things like wrapping the gifts for the bridal party, confirming whether I want the roof on the car up or down etc. Everything else is done!

I had my final dress fitting yesterday and have confirmed when to pick that up from the shop. My wedding shoes also finally arrived yesterday! They have taken 12 weeks to get to me as I had them handmade in Italy!

LMP - we're going to York for our mini moon too. It's actually one of the few places I've never been in the UK but I hear it's nice. I'm very much looking forward to it.

Stephied - we're doing the same thing for our place cards! I haven't gone foraging yet though, it's on the to-do list. £5 to buy them is ridiculous!

I'm currently mega stressed out with everything wedding related. I manage to sort my wedding perfume out when I did a bit of duty free shopping at the airport at Jo Malone. I couldn't decide on one so I got two ? This is what happens with a delayed flight, I shop!!

Engagement shoot at the weekend and I have nothing to wear, aargh. Currently waiting for an emergency Asos delivery.

I've also started testing out nail colours for the day. Got these gels yesterday but I think they're too pinky for what a want. Think I'm going to try more nude next time.

Oh and the diamond in my ER is loose so I need to take it to the jeweller to tighten it up. Ugh, something I could do without.

Very jealous of you all planning your honeymoons - as we are doing ours last minute I have nothing to plan for it at the moment! We want to go to the Caribbean or Cape Verde but we will see what offer we can get the day after our nuptials!

We did actually enter a local holiday shop competition for a free holiday (comp was only for those getting married too) so fingers crossed for a freebie!

Strangely I have gone very calm the last week. Since our best man had to pull out I think my head has calmed down and stopped panicking about everything (still not sorted that one yet either!) It isn't a way I'd recommend to stop those dreams though people but they did stop mine in their tracks!

Got lots of things done this week including hankies with personal wording arrived for the Mums, OH's pocketwatch arrived, finalised guest list (HOORAY!), bought OH's shoes (he wants shoes as a key spend for our wedding - he has a shoe fetish I swear! He is excited as he has a pair of labelled brogues for half price just because they are unboxed (rrp £155, paid £79)

Paying final bill to reception today, final dress fitting and BM dress fitting tomorrow. 22 days to go! Eeeep!

Stephie - Sri Lanka sounds great - we wondered if we should do more than just a beach holiday - jealous!

I don't have a theme - the theme is us! Lol! There is a fair amount of caricatures and music going on I guess as we are jokey musicians and the food is plain and simple and big portions (just like us too! lol!)

Lui - that skull is just amazing. Very gothic and pretty.

LMP - I think I know why you are having the problem but not really what to do about it! I think (sorry, I am not meaning to sound offensive!) it is finger skin. You haven't fat fingers, but when you put your wedding ring on, the bit of the finger just above it will get a little bit bigger. Your engagement ring is like two rings with a space inbetween. I am thinking your skin is getting caught in that space and pinching you?

When this is the only/first ring on, then it sits with no finger skin to contend with. Your wedding ring being one band doesn't have the issue of trapping skin. It is the style of engagement ring that is causing the ouchies. To see if this is the case, put another ring where your engagement one would sit and see if that hurts as much?

Hope that makes sense and not offensive!

Practically, I think you are doing the right thing - wear them the way that is comfortable and don't worry about it xx

Sparklybear – I’m good lovely! Doing well, i think! Haha! Just got the smaller thing are just left to do and pay the final balance next week too! I did have my hen do. We went to boardmasters festival last month and it was amazing, the head liners were faithless, bastille and rudimental. I’m not a major fan of most the bands but I love Newquay.

OH is off camping an canoeing with his dad and brothers this weekend, then next weekend he is off to Amsterdam. Which hes pretty excited about. I get two weekends to myself to finally wrap some gifts and write out the thank you cards.

I'd hoped my OH would wear a designer or custom made suit. His mum said she'd buy his suit for him and they went for M&S. There's nothing wrong with M&S, but I'd hoped for something a little more special for our wedding day. The suit is nice and the shoes (also from M&S) are also nice but I know he could've looked sharper on the day. I daren't say too much about it because I don't want to look like I'm dissing the MIL ...

Hey all!

I can't believe some of you are nearly down to single figure days!!!! Excited much?!

Great to see everyone getting on so well...it still feels like I have lots of little things to do (you know the ones that seem little but take forever?!)!

Anywho, I can't remember if I told you about my personalised hangers fiasco but if not, here it is in short...
I ordered 6 hangers on 14th August and the seller states it should take 5-10 business days to arrive. When early September hit and no hangers had arrived, I contacted the seller several times but with no message. It took for me to threaten to file a report for any sort of response. Low and behold, they said they had sent them a while ago and were surprised they hadn't arrived and would get them sent by the weekend (this was last weekend). When nothing arrived on Tuesday of this week I filed a report....hey presto, they arrived on Friday (well, sort of...I wasn't in and have to wait til Monday to get them) so yay - even if it is over a month since I ordered them!

We also got our caricatures of composers printed for our table names today - they look amazing!

I still need to get my playlist done but there are some fab ideas here - thanks ladies!!

What else have other people got left? I'm really excited for you all - it's really getting close now huh?!

So glad you got your hangers sorted, one less thing to worry about I always think that when you plan a wedding you are shelling out money left, right and centre to all these private businesses and who knows whether you'll ever get the stuff/they'll go out of business? I paid by credit card whenever I could to get some come back if needs be. Maybe we should've got wedding insurance ... my OH wasn't keen.

My worse fear was the wedding dress shop going out of business and taking my dress with them, all good there though

You're table place names sound cool, a little different. We are going for quirky centres so let's hope my vision looks as good as I think it will in reality. Are you and your OH into classical music?

We are 5 weeks away so a far bit of tinkering left to do like spray painting letters for table centres, penultimate dress fitting, book cars for wedding party, make favours, etc etc. Just little bits and bobs now though.

Good luck with it all, only two weeks before the Oct 2015 wedding flashes start rolling in I can't wait!

BJNL - I know what you mean about your OH's suit my lovely, I had hoped that my OH would have something tailored but he absolutely despises shopping so he's got a normal suit from Moss. It is a nice suit, but I know he could've looked a bit more dapper.
I find it so difficult to tip toe round MIL at the moment, hope your's isn't too bad!

By the way you totally sussed the ring problem! If I wear a different ring above my wedding ring, no problems at all. It's the split in my engagement ring that's causing a problem. OH has said if I want, I can have a thin plain white gold band so that I have my engagement ring and wedding ring separated ... it does look nice like that. Spoilt much ?

So my bridesmaid and I had our dress fittings on Saturday, and I swear my seamstress is a fairy godmother ?
I'm also super duper proud of my BM as she's lost 4 inches in 5 months!! Her dress is being turned into a corset back now that her final measurements have been all sorted, and my dress just needs taking up a little bit more.
We're looking at picking up the dresses up either Tuesday or Thursday next week. I was worried that it was leaving it too late but the seamstress prefers to do it this way as my weight is so up and down she's concerned about the fit.
I simply have to flash!!

MissLynx - We are looking at going to Cape Verde next year for our holiday, we have chosen Boa Vista, and are pretty sure we know which hotel, just need to wait to have some pennies before we can book it! Where abouts are you thinking of staying?

AnnyMolly - Yes it was my browser at work! It comes up fine on my ipad at home which is good! I'm still not sure about the layout, I think its a bit boring and the app isn't much better on the iphone either!

This weekend we finished our seating plan for the venue, my OH has made it and its so pretty! Its got bunting on it!!! (I love bunting!) We had our final banns of marriage read at the church on sunday!! I just need to sort some songs for our videographer to put our wedding video onto, make some reserved signs for people in the church so they know where to sit! Write our name tags for the table and buy a duvet cover for my wedding dress!! I pick it up this Saturday! How was your final fitting?!! Was it everything you hoped it would be?! I am so excited! When do you finish work? My last day is 30th September, and then I am not back in work till 26th October!!!! We fly on our honeymoon 2 days after the wedding and I am so frickin excited!!!!!!!! What little bits have you got left to do?! xxxxxx
