LMP – You look STUNNING!!??? So so beautiful! Brought a little tear to my eye. You make such a beautiful bride. I cant believe that in a week and a few days you will be a married lady and one of the first OM’s.

LMP - He enjoyed it, very very tired now haha! He almost passed out when I picked him up from the train station. I did enjoy sleep in my jammies, i may have fallen asleep on the sofa at 9.30 watching 10 things I hate about you. Although as i went out on Friday to watch the rugby, Archer had me up at 7.30 because he wanted attention. Shouldn’t leave him alone most of a day as I will suffer hahaha.

Sparklybear – Thanks lovely! He had lots of fun, just trying to recover for stag do number 2 haha!

I this weekend finally wrote out some wedding cards and wrapped a few gifts which I needed to get wrapped without OH looking. This week i’m paying the venue and then sending over our music requests to the DJ and I have my dress fitting. Not long now! Cant believe in a week and a half it will be October!!

Hey lovely ladies! So much going on, how exciting!

I just wanted to say that I wont be around for the next few weeks as work is super busy, I'm back at Uni and my future in-laws arrive in the UK next Wednesday! Argh!!

Sounds all so lovely LMP. I’m stuck so far I have my something new – Dress, something borrowed – Veil, something blue – Garter and something old – no idea. My mum and dad want me to wear a necklace from my Nan but its long and will irritate me due to my neckline being quite high on my dress. I would have earrings but I already have earrings that match the theme. So I’m pretty stuck. Who knows, I’ll ask my MOH what she thinks.

Ahh glad im not being odd, when people ask im like....kinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnda, but i think they expect me to be a bouncing ball but im just a wound up stress head at the moment haha.

I KNOW ITS SO HARD!! I just got some grapes and some carrots and hummus on top of my popcorn. (well separately but all as one meal haha!)

Now off the topics of weddings, i’ve got a few birthdays and limited money before the wedding. What can i get my best friend? I’m really not sure on what to get her as I’m super poor but want to get her something awesome!

I reckon you could get away with it, other ideas I've seen have been wearing a old perfume or using an old favourite lipstick.
If you get stuck I can lend you an old hankie if you like!

Ohhhh i dont have any old perfume or lipstick brought everything new. Although thinking about it, i could see if my dad has a hankie or something to borrow. Main thing is i that I want to wear limited items from other people as i have a tendency to fiddle and break/lose it. I don’t really like wearing things on my wrists or neck. I’m just too fussy hahaha.

Thanks anyway lovely, talking about something old made me think about the Hendricks tea cups, as my friend collects tea cups and she hasn’t got one I found one and purchased it for her. I finish work on 16 October and go back on 3 November so I reckon it will hit me on the 16th and I will be beyond excited!!! I hear the weather is due to improve over the coming weeks, they are talking about an Indian summer, let's hope it lasts until November.

LMP - You look so lovely in your dress, it really suits you. I can't believe the shop went bust, it's the stuff of nightmares. Thank goodness you took it away the day you bought it. Lucky you getting a sample!! Sorry your computer broke Hopefully you can get that sorted too.

Sparkly Bear - You sound like your playlist is coming on. We are also doing playlists to get ready to for the morning of the wedding. I have found as many songs about weddings as possible like White Wedding by Billy Idol and I Do I Do I Do I Do by Abba and songs that have meant a lot to me and OH. Confetti is next on my list, we weren't going to bother but I've changed my mind.

Rebeccafcr -I 've never heard of wedding aprons!! Where did you find them? I'm planning on only having white/ivory dry food and drink. I get food down me all the time LMP I like the idea your venue have had. I might ask mine to do the same if I can pluck up the courage ...

littleMissPanda - it's 11 days till our wedding AKA 1 week and 4 days away!!!!! It's so excited! I am trying not to panic about things, as I don't want my skin to look terrible on the day, so I am just trying to be practical with any ridiculous thoughts I have!!!! I haven't looked at the weather forecast yet! I don't want to be disappointed if it currently says sunny and then changes the day before to rain!! I've decided what will be will be! I also bought some ridiculously expensive umbrellas in case it does rain; at least I'll feel a little better about it then! I have heard that we are going to have an Indian summer from today onwards for the next three weeks, I'm not sure whether to believe it or not! We are honeymooning in Mauritius, we fly on the 6th October, so I shall be sure to pop in here and say hello before we depart! Can't believe it's all so close now! I didn't do anything wedding related last night as went out for drinks with my sister, so tonight I need to crack on with a few things tonight!!! Which bits are you currently doing?! I need to wrap one more present for my mum tonight! Has your OH started his speech yet? My OH hasn't, and it's starting to stress me out!!!

Hello my lovelies. I can't believe we are so close!! I'm counting the sleeps now I've only just realised its my birthday on thursday as everything is so wedding related it could easily pass me by, me and the OH have said its a 'no - wedding' day.

Im quite organised, just the finer touches to do, I have a list for the OH to do whilst I'm away on my hen do next weekend, he had a crazy time in london last weekend so I think he's off drinking until the wedding!

I sent my wedding ring to be re coated and shined ready for the wedding, I'm utterly lost without it, I'm hoping it'll be back by the end of this week.

aprons- i have bought my mum one, she's a spiller! i bought a cheap plain white one of eBay and a 'mother of the bride' transfer to iron on..fingers crossed it works!

MrsFRtobe - Happy Birthday for Thursday! ? ? ? ? ? Have you anything planned for your day?

That's exciting its nearly your Hen do! What have you got planned?! Hopefully the weather sorts itself out for you!!!!

I know what you mean about borrowing things from other people, I'm always losing earrings & bracelets as I constantly play around with them so I'd never borrow anyone else's.

I can't believe the shop went bust either, it was such a shock when I went past and saw it all boarded up. I was so grateful I'd bought a sample and took it home! Only downside is I was supposed to borrow a hoop from the shop but my seamstress came to rescue (again) and bought one I could borrow.
Definitely recommend asking your venue for a spare tablecloth, or at least several napkins. I'm sure they asked all the time ?
I didn't take any chances with confetti, I want a confetti shot so I bought the confetti! My sister has bought a lovely basket to put the little boxes in and she's going to hand them out before I arrive.

I know what you mean about not panicking, I'm trying so hard now to de-stress and look after my skin. I'm taking my make-up off the second I get home, and for the first time in my life I'm using a proper make-up removing face wash. Plus lots of water and fruit & veg!
Your doing better than me then, I swear I'm checking the forecasts every hour ? I refuse to buy umbrellas, I know what my luck is like if I buy them then they will need to be used...

Well I'm doing ok I think (famous last words), I need to
- wrap up the last 5 presents and write two thank you cards
- borrow my dad's laptop tonight and put the wedding breakfast playlist on the iPod
- put the first dance songs I edited onto a memory stick tonight and then email to my DJ tomorrow
- call the evening caterer and arrange a final meet
- call the venue that's holding the wedding breakfast and arranging when to pay them (for FFIL)
- call the reception venue and arrange when to pay them (for FMIL)
Oh and call my cleaning lady as my house is a tip ?

I don't know about OH's speech, he won't talk about it. I fully expect him to wing it but I'm not bothered, I know he'll say what he's feeling ?

LittleMissPanda - I am just the same on the makeup front - literally the second I get home, I take my contact lenses out, and wipe all my war paint off!! I am hoping the two days before the wedding I can be makeup free when running my errands!

You sound very organised and like you only have a few things left to do!!! Currently my to do list is sitting as this.....

• Stick timeline & table plan to backing
• Flowers for Mums (we have them other gifts but want to give flowers at the venue)
• Songs for Videographer (we wont have time to choose them after the wedding as we fly on the Tuesday, and on the Sunday we are having an open house so people can come over and say a proper goodbye before they all have to drive home to various parts across the country)
• Reserved Signs for church people
• Finish centre pieces and work out how to transport to venue
• Write place names
• Send bible reading to best man (waiting on something from the vicar before we can send)
• Buy Duvet Cover read for wedding dress collection on Saturday!

So in the grand scheme of things I feel like I am in a good place right now! I think I will start to panic when the things need to go to different places. I'm staying at my mums the night before so I need to make sure I have everything I need, and then I need to make sure OH has everything he needs ready to take to the church (rings, order of service, marriage certificate holder etc) then we both need to ensure we have clothes for the day after the wedding etc

I am trying to eat healthy however I have failed today, I had a sausage baguette for breakfast and I am currently drinking a full fat orange Fanta!!! ? I just can't help myself!!!!!

The jewellery idea is a good one, although my mum bought me brand new jewellery for the wedding - I didn't think id be struggling with this tradition so much! I thought this would be easier and id be able to find something borrowed and old!!!

Its pouring with rain here.... I really, really hope the suns starts to come out for our wedding!!!

My mum and I went through all the decorations at her's last Saturday and separated them into the right boxes, and ticked it all off the list
I currently have the bridesmaids accessories (shoes, handbags etc) in my wardrobe and since we're all getting ready together at a salon I have to make sure all of that is packed up and set over there before the big day, along with my stuff as well ... that might trigger a moment!

And packing OH's stuff for the night before might set me off as well, doesn't help that I'm still annoyed that OH and his best man have to stay in a hotel the night before...

Can you cheat and ask someone to buy something you'd like for the wedding and then borrow it from them??

MrsFRtobe my date twin, how many sleeps is it? I know that tomorrow it’s a calendar month away and just over 4 Saturdays away. It’s weird but sometimes it seems so far away and sometimes it doesn’t.

Sparkly Bear the weather is nuts! I started to worry about it a few weeks back when it was really cold. I guess we get what we get but I just hope none of us get a day like today. I’ve bought two lovely wedding umbrellas just in case. If it rains I want to be colour coordinated! I bought some confetti from Ebay. It was £40 for 5 litres I think and they say that’s enough for 60/70 people to throw. This was a good deal (though still expensive I think) but cheaper than many others I found. I also went for ivory as some confetti is dyed and can come off in wet weather, arrgghhh!

Rebeccafcr thanks for the link to the aprons. I think I’ll ask the venue for extra table linen though. Our food doesn’t have gravy/sauce etc. I’ll be drinking drinks will little colour but things could go wrong with the chocolate pudding …

LittleMissPanda - we have a good luck thread!!!!!! I remember joining this forum and being envious of the ladies that had them, wishing that I had one, and now we both do!!!!!!! Only 10 days left to go!!!!! I wanted to get more excited but making sure everything is right is keeping my excitement at a tolerable level for my OH I think!!

I have a list of things that I need to take to my mums on the Friday night, I have a box packed for things that need to go to the church on the Saturday morning, and then everything else is for the venue. My OH is taking venue stuff over 1st thing on the Saturday. We have loads of boxes though so i just need to make sure he remembers to take everything! We have all our table decorations in separate boxes per table so that it's easier for the wedding planner to arrange. I did do a mock up last week and gave her pictures so she will know exactly how I want it to look!

Last night we finished off our timeline, backed our seating plan for the venue and printed the reserved signs for the church so that's another three things ticked off the list! what did you get completed last night?!

I found yesterday really hard to concentrate at work! All I can think of is this wedding and how I want it to be here!

I'm kinda hoping my mum has got the something old and borrowed sorted. I know she has a sixpence which was something else I needed to get!!!

Last night we bought personalised passport covers and luggage tags! I want to try and show the checkin women we are newly weds and then hope they give us an upgrade (or something free) without us having to blatantly ask for one!!!

What's the weather like where you are today?! For once it's sunny at mine in the morning!!! Hope it stays this way!!!
