LittleMissPanda - Numbering the boxes is a brilliant idea! I don't know why i didn't think of that! I think this wedding has made me OCD sometimes! I was counting mint imperials the other day to go into our like bucket of sweets for the table, and then at the weekend I was counting seashells and lining them up to see which looked the prettiest together!

Tonight I plan to get the place names written and see what other little bits I need to do!

Have you picked up your dress yet?! Im getting mine Saturday, I am so excited! I'm also having false eyelashes fitted too! Never had them before, but i am confident they will look lovely! They seem to look good on everyone else!!!

Hows your day going today? I feel quite busy, but its nice as it makes the time pass! I constantly feel like I am clock watching all day every day until it reaches hometime!!!

Sparkly bear - sounds like you're well on top of your list too my love, well done! DTTB was hilarious, as usual! They were a couple of wrestlers and after the wedding they had a wrestling match, you know, as you do. Excellent idea re the matching travel items, I might have to pinch that idea for airport freebies ha ha. Where are you going on your honeymoon again?

I had my vaccinations yesterday for the honeymoon, nowhere near as bad as I thought, although my arms are a little ouchy today! I've wrapped most of the gifts and written thank you cards for my mum and BMs (they're all gonna cry mwahahahaha!) I've given final numbers to venue and caterer...just need to re-do the physical table plan for the day as we had 10 drop outs last week (what are these people thinking at all!). Although we haven't paid the caterers yet, we had paid for their children's places in the creche so are £100 down so far. I just hope no one else wants to drop out at this stage....!

Stephied9384 - We are going to Mauritius! Where about's are you going for your honeymoon?! Thankfully we only had to have 3 injections when we went to the docs, we had hep a, rabies and a tetnus booster! Which ones did you have?

I've had a mini drama today, but all should be sorted soon. I bought my mum a pandora charm online at the weekend and its arrived today with a chip on it!!! I have called the store in the nearest town to us and if i take it in tonight they will swap it for me! Obviously this is excellent news, but I ordered it online as i was trying to not going into the main town as its miles away and I am short for time! At least they will be able to swap it for me though!

I can't believe you have had 10 people drop out! I don't understand people sometimes! What kind of numbers are you having at your wedding?!

My morning has gone kinda quickly, Ive booked some interviews and completed some placements (I work in recruitment!) so at least i have work to distract my mind from the pandora thing!

I haven't written the bridal party thank you cards, i was going to give to them afterwards along with everyone else. You've got me thinking now if i should give them the cards with the presents on the morning of the wedding? They all have a few presents to open from us and I kinda thought that would be enough? Ive put the presents in a cute bag and written thank you on the tag!

Ooh how lovely! That will be gorgeous, hot and relaxing hun! We're going to Sri Lanka for a week and Goa for a week, I needed tetanus, diphtheria, typhoid and hepatitis A ? ! Doc also said to buy some anti-malaria medication before we go - who'd have thought it'd be such a danger zone ha ha!

Oh no re your mum's charm that's definitely something you can do without at this stage! It's good that they'll replace it, though still a pain as you'll have to go out of your way. That's a lovely gift though, I bet she'll love it

Oh I know hun they're driving me mad, all OH's family! We did have 117 for day time but now it's just 107. We had to re-do the table plan every single day last week, it was awful! But hopefully that'll be it now (fingers crossed anyway!)

Well I was going to give the majority of the thank you cards afterwards, but thought it would be nice to give BMs and our Mums and Dads on the day when we give them the gifts? Not sure what tradition says but I liked the idea I'm giving mum and BMs gifts on the morning as opposed to at the speeches (although this means mum will get two as can't be seen to be giving her nothing and MIL gets something ha ha!)

I've done absolutely sod all today my love! Sat here and thought about my wedding ha ha ?. Now off out for a team lunch so I imagine the afternoon will be much of the same! xxx

I like your idea of the venue placing something extra so you can use that to cover you while you eat. Clever thinking!

Sparklybear – You didn’t dream it lovely, OH is off to Amsterdam this weekend. He’s excited and got all his stuff together, however he is not excited for the 1pm wakeup call so he can get the coach to Luton Airport. They are all flying from there as its central to everything. Gutted for him as Birmingham is only a 20 min taxi ride away. Oh well hehe!

Hows everything going with you? Sorry to hear about the charm but hey the shops going to change it and that’s awesome to hear.

If it helps I’m giving all but the parents the gifts before the actual wedding because they will have nowhere to keep them as we are in a barn and there isn’t an accommodation there, so this way they can keep them at my parents and then come to collect them the next day. It may be different for you through if you have accommodation attached to your venue.

Bridgetjones – What confetti are you going with? I’ve got some natural confetti because our place doesn’t allow the paper type. If you are having the paper type it may be best to double check with your venue to make sure its ok, I know a lot of places dont really allow it any more.

Rebecca – Love the apron and extras! Fab idea!!

Stephied – He hasn’t gone yet lovely, his trip starts 1am on Friday morning, told him not to wake me because I have work and I become a grumpy Lui when I’m tired. I haven’t got much more to do, just got to finish the card holder and do a few more things. Not sure. Got to pay the venue tomorrow, it’s scary having that large amount in my account hahaha. How are you coming along with your list?

I’ve got to hand over the music stuff tonight so I’m going to write a massive email to them and get OH to check. Its all the little things that are happening right now and with work its so crazy....! Had to spend this morning in Ikea due to work. Haha!

Hey ladies, I'm sorry it's been so long since I was last on here, I just couldn't keep up with how fast the thread was moving but I need some advice... my wedding coordinator has left with less than six weeks to go. This is the third wedding coordinator that has left this year, the events manager (who I complained to after the second one left) emailed me at 11.37 on Monday night to tell me the news and to say she will now be overseeing my wedding. However, she is away on annual leave from the 1st to 14th of October. I asked for a meeting this weekend as she also doesn't have the paperwork with all the details that me and the last coordinator had worked on and keeps asking me for a copy of this! She can't meet me this weekend, I can't meet her during the week as she suggested because I work... I am now furious and have asked to speak with someone more senior, I can't meet her the weekend that she gets back as that is my hen do! I am just so stressed and need any advice that you might be willing to give.

Sorry if this is a bit rambly but I'm just so cross right now.

Oh no hallowedding, try not to panic! We went through 4 or 5 but it wasn't really a problem for us. Just make sure you sit down with the new coordinator and go through everything. If there's anything specific you've agreed make sure you get it in writing.

Well OH lost his job yesterday. Total bummer. Discussed what we would do but as everything is paid we are having the wedding anyway and work around it. Trying not to get stressed again!

This weekend we are checking/paying/signing off on the cake, the flowers and the balloons/childrens gifts plus signing the reception venues final contract and handing over the afternoon CD - busy time! I also have an appointment at the doctors on Friday for a hep A jab (too late for rabies jab)

17 days for me!

Things outstanding after this weekend are:

Stationary - OOS (needs reprinting due to change in bridal party), table plan, table numbers and names plus guest book. Lady is away until 28th but has me as priority when back from holiday.

Sort out music with evening DJ

Await personalised wedding cake topper to arrive (just signed it off!)

Best Man and FOG gift purchase

Write speeches, write BM/Usher to do list

Get photo of Dad reduced for my locket to wear

Pass local banns to our church/do run through of service (done 8th Oct) and general phone/check with suppliers

Ummm.... thats IT after this weekend! Wow!

LMP - Very glad you have a solution to the ring problem! Glad I could help :-) I am very jealous of your BM though - I have put a stone ON since choosing my dress :-( It still fits, but I kind of feel a bit ashamed of myself!

Lovely dress too - mine has the rouching in the middle too so I am biased, but it really suits you :-)

Sparkly bear - no idea of where we plan to stay! Think Dominican Republic is beating Cape Verde and Mexico though on price and heat - it will all depend on our guests generosity! If you have any recommendations etc though please feel free to share!

I tried false eyelashes and am not having them. If you aren't used to them they aren't very comfy and I was worried I'd just rub them all day or they would fall off! Don't think you have to have them - good mascara can do a pretty good job too!

Thanks for the reminder of thank you cards. A friend of ours did the thank yous via postcards which was lovely! We might do the same :-)

Rebeccafcr - I am a spiller too! I discussed this with my OH. Even though we are having a cream tea, I am still more than capable of spilling sandwich fillings down me!

I was going to look at comedy bibs etc. but my OH got upset when I mentioned it..... I think he may have got them for me! I'll laugh it off and be fine with it - I'd prefer to wear a bib than damage the dress (and in a corset, I'll have a personal TV tray in the form of cleavage! hahaha!

Its like almost double the size of my wedding! We are only having 61/62 (i cant remember!) in the day and then about about 10 at the night time! We both have such small families! misslynx - I am so sorry to hear about your OH, and i know how it feels. I have been made redundant three times this year and its pants. What kind of work does he do? Its my not-a-hen-hen-do on Friday. I have no idea what is happening but I have warned my bridesmaid that no plastic penises better be involved ?

So much excitement and anticipation in the threads now I love it!

Now the confetti is in the bag, well almost I need to put it in 80 organza bags I am now moving onto other décor. Autumn is a part of our theme and I have been scrambling around in local fields gathering conkers for the last few days. My OH called me mental tonight! I think my conker gathering days are coming to an end so I'll move onto the next one

Dont worry about weight, im up and down and right now im eating so much and not exercising because I’m so tired! I just cant help it and food tastes so good! I’m just doing things like taking the stairs and walking extra places. Apparently my close friend said wedding stress helps lose weight so fingers crossed.

Annamolly – Have they not given you much to go on?! Are you excited? Ohhhh what are your evening invites like? Also are you scared that soon we know the results of the London Marathon ballet? I’m actually a little bit scared and excited and really hope I get in.

LittleMissPanda - We are into single figures!!! Its 9 days till our weddings!!!! OMG!!!!!!! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? I am so excited!!!!! lol about the rock! sounds just like something I did with our favours!!!! what is this wedding turning us into hey!!!! I will definitely flash a pic of the dress, I don't think i have put a pick of it up before! I am having Mori Lee 1864!!! The pandora charm is all sorted now, we went into the city last night and exchanged it, then we went for dinner and I had a few too many wines and now i feel so rough this morning! Ive just made myself a green tea in the hopes that this helps!!! How was your evening? Yes you read correctly, I am having false eyelashes! I have never had them before! How long do they last?! I am getting them fitted the thursday before the wedding so that they last longer for the honeymoon!

AnnaMolly - your not-a-hen-do-hen-do sounds interesting! Do you know anything about what has been planned? We went to Champneys for mine and it was lovely. I don't really like going out/away without the OH and Champneys is only 25 mins down the road from me, so was ideal!!! You must report back on Monday and tell us all about it!!!!

Lui - Definitely don't want any spots! I have been drink water and green tea like mad women! We aren't staying at Gatwick the night before as out flight doesn't depart until 21:05 so we are just driving down on the morning of the Tuesday! It shouldn't take us to long from ours. We are in the East Minds (not far from you if I remember correctly!) so will take about 3.5 hours and in the middle of the day the traffic should be better! At least that's what I'm hoping! We are honeymooning in Mauritius, Are you off anywhere are your wedding my lovely? You must be so excited for all your time off!

My evening was lovely, my MOH and I went for dinner and then we went back to mine. She helped me check all the accessories that I'd got her & BM, and made sure her shoes still fit! We wrapped everything up in tissue paper and then put all the bits in with their shoes, so we now only have 2 boxes to take to the salon rather than lots of different things in different bags.
Silly I know, but I feel better now that's done.
Ah I totally love it when I have falsies! How long they last depends on what ones you have. I have the ones that are glued just above your natural lashes, so they last 2 weeks before dropping out on their own. But you can have ones that are glued in with your natural lashes and they last about 4 weeks, but your supposed to have them infilled to keep them going.
I'm having mine done the Friday before the wedding, so they should last for my mini moon and the week after ?

My OH had his stag last weekend, so that's all the pre wedding festivities done.

This weekend... tomorrow I have my hair trial... can't decide what way to have it tho!

Saturday morning I'm at the seamstress to pick up my dress. I just hope it's ok...was dreaming last night that the dress was ruined....

Saturday lunch back to the hairdressers to have my hair coloured... never had my hair fully coloured before... but want my stray greys covering!

I'm trying not to overthink things as it does fill me with stress! Irrationally... I know there is no need!

Sparklybear – Your not far indeed my lovely! It shouldn’t be too bad but the M25 and its roadworks! Ohhhhh that place is beautiful, I really want to go but OH likes activity places (i dont) and wants to go somewhere, where there is things to do! (boooooo! Hahah).

We haven’t decided and really cant afford to book one prewedding so we are asking people if they wish to gift money to we can have one, I’ll just be happy with the break to be honest.

I am so looking forward to my time off as i need sleep haha! Almost 11 months with 3 days off is hard! Dont do it people! Haha!

LMP- Yesterday was crazy, I was in Ikea, then cleaning an office then in an phone interview and then talking to an agency. All in all a random day in the life of a customer service/HR assistant hahaha!

Can we hide under the duvet until we are ready? I mean I’m 5 weeks away and I’m not ready hahaha! I still need something old. I’m going to text my MOH now see if she has an old pearl bracelet I can use for the ceremony.

I really like like the second one! I would get a hot neck with my hair scooped to the side. However both are stunning. Either one you pick, you will look awesome.

I like the hair pictures that you've flashed their both very pretty. I agree with Lui though I'd definitely get hot having my hair all styled on one side. Why don't you ask if you can see how both styles look on you? One might suit you better than the other ?

Hi ladies, again I've been rubbish with keeping up with this thread... thanks for all the responses. I'm not normally one to panic, it's just with five weeks to go and the new coordinator going on annual leave for two weeks we can't find a date to meet each other, and on top of that all my paperwork must have been mislaid because she has asked again if I can send her the final details sheet which the venue asked me to fill out (this is a five page booklet with every last detail on it) but I don't have a copy! I've heard from the operations manager who has said he is in a meeting for most of the day but will be calling me later. I know things will come together, I was just all het up yesterday and feeling much calmer now.

on another note, LMP I missed your flash of your dress so I'll go back and have a look for it when I get home because I'm on my phone right now and it doesn't work too well with the new layout. also thanks for the weird internet hugs
