Sparklybear - ha ha we are having a huge wedding as OH's family is massive. I have two tables of guests (including family) out of he twelve we are having! It's a bit ridiculous really, but they kind of "come with" him so I suppose I had to accept it! Oooh single digits too, how exciting!! I'm so jealous of you guys a week ahead of me ha ha! Annamolly - we didn't even give evening invites out to some people, OH's mum kindly just invited people along and gave them all the info! Got loads left over in the house! Hope you have a lovely hen party tomorrow as well

BJNL - I'm having an Autumn theme too ? one of my initial ideas was gluing red/orange leaves to the inside of jars and putting little tea lights inside (stolen from pinterest) but despite having about 50 types of real and fake leaves, I just can't get any of the buggers to stick to the glass! So I gave up on that idea at the weekend, after pestering friends and family for glass jars for the past two years! They're gonna be looking around on the day wondering what I did with them all!

Rebbecafcr - good luck for your hair trial! I was a little unsure about mine, weekend just gone, but the hairdresser was so lovely and patient, she listened to all my ideas and said she would stay as long as she had to to make sure I was happy with what she did. I'm sure yours will be able to help out if you're a bit stuck. Can we have a flash afterwards?! ?

Lui - everything feels so busy busy busy at the minute doesn't it?! I blink in work and the day's over! I wanted to dye my hair too (I have a few little strands of wisdom too!) but now that I'm getting extensions sorted for the wedding I won't be able to! I'll just have to hope none of the little critters show up on the photos. My hair is really dark (like yours) so I can see them really easily!

Well ladies, today I bought my first non-wedding related item in a long time! A new pair of ankle boots for Autumn! Felt so nice not having to justify the expense (they were only £60!) to myself any more ha ha! Also booked a little treat day for mum and me the day before the wedding; I'm having mani and pedi and some french shellac put on, with a massage. I didn't want to keep mum waiting all day so I booked for her to have a massage and a facial too as a surprise. Then on the evening before all my family will be up from down south and we're going for a nice meal out, which will be lovely cos I hardly see them! So the day before the wedding is shaping up nicely now too ?

So i go away from my HR desk for one minute and it’s like a flood of messages haha!

LMP – I love those MEMEs, laughing at my desk when i saw them, I just looked so crazy hahaha! I can barely adult on a normal day so trying to adult for a wedding is super hard haha.

Technically I’ve had 5 as I took 2 days off sick for my migraine. I haven’t been in the office for that length of time; I’ve been in training and doing things. But still work my socks off. Even went on a Law update on my birthday! That’s how driven I am haha.

Halloweeny – It will all work out ok lovely!! Ohhhh I would like to see your dress too!! Damn sneaky work colleagues sneaking around heheh.

Stephied – I am totally with you, I blink and times gone and now my work is just piling up, I’m piling up my work as I have 4 ½ weeks before i finish work and all my projects need to be wrapped up so I’m just so busy right now.

Haha those grey critters are annoying hehe! Ohhhhh extensions! How long are you having them? Will you flash when you have them in?

Ohhhh I like your little treats that you have booked and I cant wait to have money back too, however I have 2 more paydays that I’m using for the wedding so my first payslip thats all for me (apart from rent and bills) is November. Feels so long. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with my wages when I have them back.

I'm pleased to announce that I've stopped searching for conkers for part of the wedding décor. It's good to be free of them.

Lui - no need to apologise about confetti, hope I didn't sound impatient, not intentional When I was looking on tinternet the companies said that it's unlikely that natural confetti made from coloured flowers would transfer colour but they couldn't guarantee it, especially in wet weather. I think that they are just covering themselves, no pun intended.

Off to stuff 60-70 organza bags with confetti

So ladies I had a bit of a nightmare last night. Received a call from the venue that's doing our wedding breakfast to say that they've changed management teams and that they had NO details about my booking!!
They confirmed that they'd honour whatever information I'd been given previously but that I needed to tell them everything again.
So this morning I had to type up absolutely everything that had been agreed, down to what colour tablecloths would be used. I even had to send them the menu that had been decided, and the cost per head.
My question to you all is ... is it really naughty that I knocked £2 off per head??
I was so upset that they'd put me through this extra stress I just wanted to see if I could get away with it ?

Have also paid the final balance for the evening venue and emailed the DJ confirming our song choices etc, so all in all a busy day!

LMP... what a mare! No, I don't blame you at all knocking some money off per head!

Have they acknowledged everything yet?

I actually don’t know where i am at the moment.

BJNL – Don’t worry lovely, didn’t think it was, i was skim reading anyway which is where i probably missed it.

LMP – Oh god thats so stupid, how could they not have anything? I dont blame you for knocking off £2 per head, i mean seriously it serves them right, I hope you have asked for many an extra bottle of wine on the tables because of the stress. Normally not one to say stuff like that but on something as important as the wedding breakfast then maybe you should!

Be brave lovely it will calm down and this will be forgotten next Saturday! (AGH!!).

So i really dont know where i am at the moment, i’m in meetings running around like a blue arsed moneky! Seriously!

Quick vent away from weddings, seriously if you have an interview lined up why don’t you just say if you don’t want to take it instead of leaving people and why do agencies place people up for more than one role at a time?! UGH! I’m never going to get my Christmas temps in if it carries on this way.

OH left for Amsterdam this morning. He’s sending me snapchats and makes me want to be there, I used to live in Amsterdam so its making me miss the place more than him hahaha!

I paid my venue yesterday and sent off the music this morning! So thats another thing thats ticked off.

I found a lady way back for my save the dates and day invites ( I was going to make my own evening invites) then I thought sod it, I'll get her to do my evening invites as well...

I was going to make my own table plan... I'd seen an idea on here about using a collage photo frame to house your table plan so was going to create my own using that, but then when I started making it, it looked a bit rubbish, so I contacted her again and asked if she could make my table plan, bespoke to match everything else I'd had and to go into my photo frame, and she said she could. And bless her, she emailed me today saying she's bought a frame herself as she was worried about the fit, and sent me a pic to show me what it looks like... and I absolutely love it!

It looks wicked. And I'm so pleased I went back to her because I love things to match and now everything matches right down to the table numbers as I got her to do me them too

LittleMissPanda - hun, I am sorry to hear what the venue have done to you. You are absolutely right in knocking the £2 off as Lui said I would be asking for extra bottles of wine of the table and I would also see what else they can give you as well as compensation. It is absolutely disgusting that 1 week before your wedding this happens and they have no details about your booking. I hope you are ok hun, I can only imagine how upset and angry you must be feeling right now. Have they come back to you yet?

Lui - Completely un wedding related; do you work in recruitment?! I do and its a nightmare as you have written!!! How long is OH in Amsterdam for? How long did you live there for? I have never lived abroad, i imagine it was a completely different way of life! I hope your dress fitting tomorrow hoes well hun! what is your dress like?

I have quite an exciting weekend ahead, I am picking my dress up tomorrow and having a patch test for my false eyelashes! (never had them before) Then we are sitting down and going through everything and making sure that by Sunday night, absolutely everything is done and in boxes and ready to go for the wedding! We are quite busy during all of the evenings next week and with being at work until the Wednesday I need to make sure its all done or else I'll panic like crazy! Incidentally my skin is absolutely perfect at the moment, I tend to get a few spots on my chin area and it can be difficult to shift them sometimes, so I am just praying that my skin plays nicely and stays clear for the wedding next Saturday! Although I am sure it wont!

Afternoon Sparklybear,

I work in HR and Customer services (what a mix) I’m currently running a recruitment campaign and the people do not turn up or go for other roles. The agency we are using, i think are putting people up for more than one role at the same time, so people are taking other jobs while we are trying to interview them. It’s really annoying as it feels like we are not going to fill these roles and with Christmas being peak season we need them.

Is it this bad for you as well?

He’s in Amsterdam until Sunday night. I lived there for ½ a year when i was in UNI, i taught over there in some Dutch schools.

Its is so much better and laid back, but maybe thats just Amsterdam haha! My dress i’m not sure if its A-line or a princess dress but I’ll flash it again for you, mainly because i love it. However the model does not do it justice.

The model is wearing it with a hoop at the bottom, I wont be so it'll fall more naturally for me.

I get where your coming from with the agency thing! I really don't like the way they recruit. I used to work in one about 10 years and just hated their lack of morals! Since then I have worked as an inhouse recruiter and most of the time i love it! I currently work for a legal company recruiting conveyancers and solicitors! Its rather challenging all the time! But i get such a buzz from it! The recruitment team I work in is amazing, so it makes it all that bit nicer!

Your dress is very gorgeous! The model looks miserable! You'd have thought she'd be smiling and happy wearing a dress like that!!! I love the detailing on the top if it, its just so intricate and beautiful!are you having the belt that the money is wearing?

Have you got any wedding things to do this weekend?! I will definitely remember to number the boxes, i think it will help me (and OH) so much when it comes to taking them to the venue!!

I am just waiting for our vicar to come back to me about something; i emailed him two weeks ago and he still hasn't come back to me! I've chased him twice!!! Getting a little nervous, but we'll see him this Sunday in church so i can corner him and ask him why he hasn't replied!

Im starting to understand their lack of morals! I have telephone interviewed 4/5 people and booked them in for normal interviews literally a day or so after the interview and by the day they have either got a job or just don't show up. If I was a consultant I would put them up for one job at a time. It does feel like they just want the money.

The belt is attached so it is going to come with it and it's nice it just brings something to it with all the lace and tulle.

This weekend I'm currently in OH home town (he's from the south) seeing some of our best friends and having a mini hen as some couldn't come due to giving birth to my adorable niece. So I'm currently on the sofa this morning just having a cuddle with their cat! Haha. How is your weekend going? Did you get hold of the vicar?

I picked my dress up yesterday. It's now hanging on my old wardrobe at my mums!

Can't remember if I told you the issues that the sample really pulled me in and gave me a figure and mine didn't when it came. And the shop was all like "it will be able to be altered to look like that"

the seamstress said it couldn't so I was upset thinking I'd look shapeless. Well, she has taken the dress in 7 inches. I have a little bit of shape now but nothing like the sample. Also, turns out the length is wrong! With my heels on the dress is too short! So I will have to wear flats. Whenever i tried it on in the shop I only ever had it on for a few mins so never really got to properly look at myself. Bit annoyed really be nevermind at least I have it now.

i break up the Wednesday afternoon before the wedding and don't go back until Mon 27th Oct so that's nice. The Wednesday in sorting favours and sweet buffet, Thursday honeymoon packing and nails and Friday taking everything the the hotel and doing last bits like confetti cones etc.

I feel like I'm going crazy at the moment what with having to pack and get ready to move next weekend and with the wedding getting ever closer (on top of all the normal work stuff)!

It's amazing to see that some of you literally have days left until you marry your best friend!!! So excited for you all and I can't wait to see the flashes! I still have 4.5 weeks left, which will fly by, but only a few payments left, a meeting with my TOG on Tuesday and lots of little jobs to get sorted (kinda freaking out with everything else taking over and no time to sort these little things out!).

Misslynx - Sorry to hear about the job situation - that's awful! A friend of mine has done our caricatures - 'Art By Mengistu' is his business name and he is amazing! I am a classically trained flautist but perform a lot in shows, orchestras, and pop/folk rock gigs too on the flute and other instruments. My OH really likes music too so the decision on the table names was easy...here is a flash of one of the table names:

How are we all?! Can't believe LittleMissPanda and I get married in 5 days! Wedding week is finally upon us! I had terrible trouble sleeping last night; I was just so excited! This morning I am shattered but I think the adrenaline will just keep me going all week!

How was everyone's weekends? We have pretty much done everything now. We just need to put some photos onto a usb stick and I need to pick the suits up once I've had the call from the suit place. Should be the Wednesday that they call! Thankfully my skin is still playing ball and looks clear and from what I can gather there was another report in the news about this Indian summer continuing. I really hope my skin and the weather stays as they both are for the Saturday!

LittleMissPanda - how are you my lovely? How's it all going with the venue? I was thinking about you over the weekend hoping that it has all worked ok for you. Wish I could help in some way! Sending you lots of hugs.

Lui - Yes we spoke to the vicar yesterday morning, he still needs to confirm something to me but is waiting on an answer from someone else. So I feel much happier! All boxes for the wedding are done, but not numbered as it might confuse things, however they are all grouped together and I have written a clear list of what needs to go where on the Saturday morning! OH will be taking these to the venue at about 8:30! How was your weekend down south?! It's beautiful down there isn't it! Which part did you go to?! OH and have a a very soft spot for Dorset! It will definitely be where we buy our next house!

Rebeccafcr - I have probably already asked you this, but have a memory like a sieve lately! Where are you going on your honeymoon?! I picked my dress on up Saturday and it is now hanging on the curtain rail in my old room! I have started to track the weather and it is showing to be sunny for the next 2 weeks and rainy/cloudy on the 10th October! I have invested in 4 white umbrellas off eBay.

My to do list is shrinking but I worry that I might forget to do something important.

tomorrow drop off sample vase to florist for a test run of the centrepieces. Don't forget to take the feathers for the buttons.

Bake a cake for my send off party on 3rd October.

pick up honeymoon tickets from Thomson at Bluewater

get my hair extensions done on Monday 5th oct.

print off the last few place names using work printer! (A few guests have dropped out and they have been replaced)

make final changes to table plan due to the above changes

drop off favours, table plan, place names, mirror plates and tea lights at venue in the next few days once the above changes have been made.

Call dress lady to sort out final bill and final fitting.

Make sure the 12 Family members from abroad have their airport transfers sorted.

Speak to cake lady(parents neighbour) to ensure all is well with her and that she is all set for the day.

Call makeup artist to confirm timings

Sparklybear – So close now lovely! So excited for you both! Glad that you got things sorted with the Vicar. My weekend down south was so nice, I went to Bracknell so Berkshire as I was seeing our close friends (OH,’s BM) girlfriend and their baby and just hanging out. Was so lovely to see her and her baby. Then rushed home to finish house work and then went out for my brothers and his girlfriends birthday. (they are 1.5 weeks apart).

So this weekend, I confirmed my music with the venue, and then also paid off the venue too. I had my final dress fitting and it fit perfectly, so I really can’t put on any weigh or lose any, so I need to get myself into gear and eat carefully and go for a run more frequently. But my dress was stunning and I felt so beautiful in it. Was amazing.

I then went down south to see my friends that was so good, we chin wagged, went out for lunch, and dinner and I was treated so much. So good. Drove home and went out for dinner with my family. Really have a short list of things to do now.

Have to finish the following:

Card box sign

Centrepieces (still waiting for 3 to be painted)

Buy batteries for lights.

Pick up dress

Keep wearing in shoes

Thats it i think, or I have missed a hell of a lot! Haha! We shall see.

Side note, the London Marathon Ballot comes out in likes a week times, and I’m really hoping that I make it in, if not, I’m starting to eye up different ones in this area.

We've done a few cruises. We like it, it's relaxing, fun, pampering!

We're away for 13 nights, and I think we have 3 days at sea during that time. The time in port varies from like 8-4 to 9-7

Out centerpieces are crystal trees, so just need to set the trees up and add the crystal garland and butterflies.

Favour boxes just need filling with pink M&M's and then a pink ribbon putting round the box.

I break up a week on Wednesday and I already don't want to do any more work!

Happy Polly - oh no, I've been checking the weather too, I've not noticed any rain forecast yet though! I don't mind a bit of rain, or cloud, I just can't be doing with wind, blowing my dress, my hair, making my eyes water etc! As long as there's no wind I don't care what the weather does ha ha! We can say we're getting married next week too, eeep!

Well, OH and I did a bit of honeymoon clothes shopping at the weekend and had a little date afternoon seeing as it was our last weekend together as singletons (it's his stag this weekend). Had a lovely little day shopping, went the cinema, then topped off with some take out and a few drinks!

Had some more drop outs over the weekend so that's us spending ANOTHER evening rejigging the table plan! Seriously, that's got to be it now for the drop outs ha ha?? Bit of bad news was OH's younger brother, who is 15 and a boxer. He's just made it to the final of the North West Championships for his age/weight but it's on the wedding day! OH is gutted but he understands it's important to him and he wants to go. Spoke to the caterer this morning and they said they'd keep his wedding breakfast in a hot cupboard in case he's late to the meal!

Hallow that is a beautiful dress. I love the the way the sparkly flower design snakes its way down the dress.

My gosh ladies will you all slow down?? How's a girl supposed to catch up around here ?

I honestly cannot believe that I get married in 5 days time ? I don't know if I'm so excited I might vomit, or so nervous I might vomit ... either way there's a good chance I won't be eating for the next week!!

So I think I'm actually all done! I've written out the name place cards and put the final few bits in boxes and now I just have to wait and go to (endless) beauty appointments...

Thank you all for your comments regarding my wedding breakfast venue, I'm happy to report it's all sorted now. My mum has paid the final balance today and I've had email confirmation that everything which was previously agreed still stands.
Plus I got away with knocking £2 per head, and £1 off each welcome drink!

Thanks for the compliments on my dress, it was made in India, I wanted an English style dress with loads of Indian style bling and I think they managed it. The back is the same, lots of sparkle. That pic was taken before the sleeves were taken in as they were way too big.
