I was watching a UK one. I was surprised that I hadn't seen it because I've watched most of those. I'd love to go to lots of weddings but like you say having people score mine (sometimes quite unjustly) on national TV would be a bit much. We've all waited since childhood for this day and to think that some of our guests are criticising everything to the camera, behind our backs wouldn't be something I'd like on the day.

Napkins all done? I have a few tweaks to do but just need to get on with it (I'm really good at procrastinating, rather than just getting on with things!!) so plan to have everything done by the end of the weekend. We have one week to go and next week is taken up with dental, hair and beauty appointments, a rehearsal meal put on by MIL (so sweet), meeting at the venue, making favours etc.

Off to call florist to firm up final arrangements and have a massage later

I know I haven't posted much but i have enjoyed reading everyones posts and hearing about their planning, it has provided me with inspiration at times.

Just waiting to be collected to be taken to venue where i am staying tonight, i seem to have boxes and boxes of wedding stuff to take!

We are frantically trying to find someone to fill a gap that came up. Sadly a friend of mine coming from America can't make it anymore as she has to give evidence in court for her sister's custody trial and no matter how much she tried, she couldn't get the date changed! Big bummer! I have the seating plan to make but can't do all of it until I know who, if anyone, will be taking her place -eek.

I think it is the smaller things, other than the seating plan, that need to get done. Things like writing my speech, writing thank you notes for my BMs and best couple as well as my OH, sorting out wedding morning music. Everything is now paid which is great! I have a couple of names to change for place cards but will do that when I do the seating plan. My OH needs to pick up his and his BMs suits. I'm currently wearing in my wedding shoes too I also need to put our caricature pictures into our photo frames ready for the table names. Finally, I need to finalise all my timings and give out final information to everyone...I hope that's it!

What did all OMs need to do before their wedding?

Sorry to hear that your friend can’t make it any more. Hope you are able to tweak your seating plan so you don’t have an empty seat in the middle of everything. Hopefully you can send her a copy of the photos/video so she doesn’t miss out as much.

Sounds like you have a hang on everything you need to do which is good! What are you plans to do the night before? I can’t believe how much it has come round. It’s so exciting.

Delighted to say everything went great with our wedding and we had an amazing day I was just wondering what you all did with your bouquet? I think I've left it too late to have mine freeze dried as the sides of the flowers are turning brown - any other ideas what I can do with it?

Is anyone still here?! I can't believe we are all Om's now! Its such a lovely feeling!

Tomorrow i'll have been married for 6 weeks already! I remember being 6 weeks the other side of being married, and it seemed such a long time to the wedding! Now i feel like time is going so quickly!

How are we all?! Did everyone have fabulous days?! Mine was so amazing!! I don't have any TOG/VOG pics/videos yet, however we have our TOG screening on the 23rd November! I am so excited! There are a few pics on FB for those that want a good nose! I am part of the OM group that Lui so kindly set up!

Anyways, hope you are all having a lovely Friday! its very dreary and overcast here; in fact I think its just started to rain!

Time definitely seems like it's flying past now. I think I'll have been married for 6 weeks this weekend too! Wow. We got our photos back after 4 weeks so I already have wall art up at home and I already have our official album. I love it! :-)

It was amazing and could only be described as perfect. It was literally better than I could have ever imagined. I feel like I've been married to my husband forever. We're so happy! :-)
We've just started trying for a baby too to start our family, So exciting. All my dreams have come true in 2015. :-D

I know what you mean about staring at the ring. We'll be sat watching TV and one of us will just come out with 'we're married!' excitedly! :-p

How's married life for you so far? (everyone keeps asking me this same question as if marriage would change our relationship ha ha)

I'm so happy for you! We are waiting till next year to try for a baby. Hubby wants to get a new job first and we want to try and get another holiday abroad in before we have a little bear cub!

Married life is amazing, but honestly it doesn't feel any different! Other than I sign my name differently and keep staring at the wedding ring on my hand! I've always felt like we were married! it just feels normal, like it has always been this way!

My weekends are just as busy as they were before the wedding, I was hoping they would calm down a bit but because we are in the lead up to Christmas it seems we are here there and everywhere!

Have you taken your husbands surname? I took my hubby's so am now in the process of writing to everyone and sending my marriage certificate all over the place to try and get everything updated! xxxx

Hello! ??

Just popped in to say hi. Can't believe we've been married two weeks now. It's so nice just to settle back into life without having to worry about planning a wedding or moving, bliss.

I still find it funny and slightly weird to say 'my husband' and I keep forgetting to say my married name when people ask. Doesn't help I'm still using my maiden name at work, I feel like I'm two people at the moment.

Changing names on everything is so annoying! Having to send my marriage certificate off is so tedious and time consuming. It's going to take forever.

I did take my husbands name, but I've been secretly signing it for years ha ha! :-P

Thank you AnnaMolly. This will be our first so I'm so excited and just don't know what to expect. I have 3 sisters and none of them have children yet despite two being older than me, so this is a big scary world I'm entering! :-)

Whats happened with the DVLA ? I sent my forms and marriage certificate to them last week and haven't heard anything back yet. I have heard from friends that they can be difficult to i am expected them to contact me with some sort of issues/problems!

I also launched my business last week; so its been a really busy time for me!

Their guidance said to send my old licence back to them to a different address than the form so I did. I even sent it recorded. A week letter I received the form part back saying I'd need to send my licence with it. So we phoned them and explained I had sent it and we could see they had received it. They told us to send the form back with the reference number from the posted licence. A week later I received the form back AGAIN, so again had to phone them, and this time I opened a complaint. They sent me an official written apology, but I still had to wait two further weeks for my new licence, which finally turned up yesterday.

I will treasure my written apology from the DVLA ha ha

My week has been pretty boring. I have booked a long weekend in France for April for me and my Husband though. The same place we got engaged! :-D I can't wait!!

That weekend in April sounds gorgeous CornishBride89!! I don't have any time off until August next year! Its my 30th so hubby and I are taking a week off and heading down to the south coasts, although we aren't sure where to go! We want somewhere quaint and typically english, but with good restaurants and places to walk!

Your dvla thing sounds like a nightmare, Im glad they got it sorted for you! Thankfully mine was done and dusted within a week; which I am very thankfully for!

Do you feel like you have the wedding blues? I think i do! We went to view our professional pictures on monday evening and it bought back how excited i felt about it all leading up to the wedding! I miss that feeling soooo much! i tihnk becuase we were engaged for 2 years before the wedding it was always something to look forward too! I necessarily miss all the planning, but I really miss all the excitment that came with it all!!!

Hows your week been? Mine has been slow, I am so glad its friday afternoon and I have just over 2 hours left of my working day!

So the business i am working on is a skincare and beauty business. Currently Im a recruiter, and really not enjoying it, hense why I am trying to start a new business now, so that hopefully one day I can just do that full time and not recruit anymore!!!!
