Lui - I definitely havent seen my house in daylight! I leave when it's dark and I get home when it's dark! The weekends are always spent gallivanting around so I don't even get to see the house then!

My OH wants to get a credit card; I'm not so keen on the idea,I just worry about them!

That's exciting you are giving notice soon! We are getting married in a church so I don't think we have to give notice as the vicar does it for us I believe! I must email my vicar today and see if I need to be doing anything! How long does the interview last when you give notice?

I thnk I might go home at lunch time and work from home, no one is in my department today and it's so lonely! xxx

I'm the type of person who would want to send the invites out as soon as possible, but then I know I wouldn't get them back for ages! April/May time sounds the best time to send them out, giving people plenty of time to reply. Always loved the Save the Date cards too!

The email that Hitched will let you use is my personal email and its better to use my work one, so I reply to you using that (my personal email is a pain in the butt and hardly ever works properly, and I can't figure out how to change my email on Hitched)

I had a quick look for invites and got in a strop so gave up ... I must try again properly today! I'm only inviting 40 day guests, and by the time I've worked out the couples/families I'll only need approx 20 so it really shouldn't be that hard, but I want to include an order of the day & a menu as well =/
Ah I can see why you changed your dates for your invites, thinking about it those dates do give a lot more breathing space so I'll probably do something similar (anyone realised yet that I have no clue what I'm doing?!)

Aw interview nerves suck, I was exactly the same. But it really is more a chat ... they just asked how long I'd lived in the area, how long OH had lived in the area, our occupations etc. Once it was over I was one step closer to being married and I got so stupidly excited

How's it going?

Am sat at work and just having a quick look during a quiet moment!

So, January hit, we are getting married this year. I then hit panic mode. Less than 10 months to go.... I don't have enough time to lose weight, I am gonna be a fat bride.... i've ruined it!

All these panicky feelings flooded me! lol. daft I know. still enough time, but I hit full blown panic mode!

I've made some more progress with my bouquet. Made it up etc. then realised it was too small, so have ordered some more flower heads etc to go bigger

How's everyone getting on with their music choices for those having a civil ceremony? I can't figure out how many pieces of music I need, and how long my entrance piece needs to be (me and 2 bridesmaids)

I can't decide on music at all, and my OH is leaving the musical choices to me!x

Thank you Hun! We love it. There are currently having a new marquee installed so I am excited to see what it looks like! It will be finished in Feb, so I shall be at the open day making sure I still like it! Hopefully I will!!!

Im on my second my brew of the day! It's just so miserable outside! We haven't got much planned for our week off, I have just emailed our vicar about having a meeting to discuss the service! So hopefully we can do that the week we are off, and then I also need to chose the vegetarian option for our menu and get that emailed to the caterer so that I can print the menu's off for the tables!

Invitations are so expensive, that's why we settled on making ours. I just couldn't justify the amount of money companies were asking for!

The whole way through this wedding process I feel like I've just been muddling through! Yes, I change the dates for invitations as I felt more comfortable with the extra time between them coming back and the wedding, and also, I can't wait any longer to send them out! I'm to excited!!

We have now been in touch with the venue who are arranging a meeting with us to talk about times and also to help us with the interview which probably will make me more nervous but you ladies are right I will be completely fine J

I’ll deffo let you know how it all goes and how much of a fool I make myself look look haha!

I am the same thing with invites, that’s why I don’t want to have them in my hands until nearer the time. My h2b didn’t like that I sent out the save the dates in august last year! He wanted to send them a year before but I was too excited after having them printed and then writing all the envelopes.

I have found a style of them that I finally like and that is easy DIY which I like J so I think we are going to work something out.

I think I have missed loads out so Im really sorry if I have lol!

Please please don't panic or put pressure on yourself to lose weight, I'm sure you look gorgeous in your dress and don't need to lose a single pound! Try and relax and remember your OH loves you and that's all that matters. I hate it when people assume brides HAVE to lose weight, its so mean and unnecessary ... like we haven't got enough to do right?!
Besides, you've still got 9 months to go and lots can happen in 9 months ... so go have a cup of tea and biscuit :p

Good morning ladies!

I woke up this morning to find I am back in full wedding mode! Thank you for putting up with my vents!!

I need to make a list of things to do as I'm actually starting to panic a bit! I haven't got a clue when it comes to giving notice, I've been looking for invitations and can't decide on any like, I keep going back and forth on flower ideas and the top table is so hard to organise! My fiance wants novelty invites. I'm cabin crew and he has seen some that look like airline tickets. Although they are nice they aren't quite what I had in mind. I wanted something more elegant and rustic looking. I have decided I want foam roses and I really want to order them so the bridesmaids have their bouquets when we go dress shopping, but every time it go to order them something stops me! My top table is a difficult issue. Due to family situations I want a sweetheart table for myself, my fiancé and our son. The only problem is our venue only has round tables. Their smallest one is 5ft. In my head this look ridiculous! I might ask if I can supply a trestle table as a way round it. I still can't decide on sequin tablecloths or runners! But I have decided on my entrance music. I want to walk down the aisle to a string quartet version of Beyoncé's Halo. Someone else mentioned it and when I heard it I nearly cried! I always said I didn't want to get married until I felt the way she's talking about in the song. And more than once I have told my fiancé he makes me feel that way. The only problem is I can't find a downloadable version of it!

I have been on maternity for the last 9 months so I have been addicted to TLC. I think I've seen every episode of Say yes to the dress, I found the gown and Randy's wedding rescue!

I needa bit of help. Ive been looking at pocketfolds for the invites but Im not 100% where I would get the inserts printed.

Have you guys looked at getting seperate inserts added? I cant seem to find a print that would do it!

We are printing our own! We got the sizes off the website I mentioned yesterday, and then we can put all the information on them that we need, we have a few inserts! xx

Just got a call to say my dress in the shop! I was really excited but I need to lose 13lb of baby weight before I try it on. I asked if I could just try it on to see how much I would need to lose and they said no it would be a proper fitting. They also said they need the rest of the balance tomorrow :-( For some reason I thought I had until a month before to pay it off. I'm in panic mode now. I was going to put money aside each each month once I go back to work :-/

Did you have an agreement that shows the month of payment? You can always check this to see if it’s wrong maybe and they are just asking for a month earlier.

I’ve been looking into invites with h2b work as they have reopened their printing house to the staff, so hopefully we can get a good deal this way. We are just waiting for the samples to arrive in so I can have a look at the card stock.

H2b mentioned about his stag do last night! Looks like he’s off to Amsterdam! Slightly Jealous of him as I used to live over there and really want to go back! Obvs he wont go to the places I used to go but still jealous hehe.

I bought my dress from a shop in Chichester. I need to find the paperwork tomorrow. We are in the middle of moving and having our flat decorated so it will take some searching. I just find it a bit odd that they would ask for full payment over the phone before I've even seen the dress. I've got myself so worked up over this. I'm going through a stressful time as it is at the minute and this isn't helping. But I am excited to see what the dress looks like in ivory as I tried it on in blush :-)

LittleMissPanda - glad to hear you had a productive weekend! Whats your cake like? We stil have ours to do! We had a productive weekend too - we have pretty much finished all inserts for our invitations! It took us ages, but I am very happy with the results! I just need to get the parents to proof read and then we are good to go with them!!!!

Its windy and rainy here, and I had such a busy end to the week work wise - it was horrible - reduced me to tears at one point on thursday! But today is a new day, and its a new week! and in recruitment things can change at the drop of a hat! So I am hoping for a better week!

I also got up and did my exercise dvd this morning (6am rise) - early for me! but i do feel better for doing it, i can feel some aches so that means it is working, however i do feel sleepy as usually Im in bed till 7:30 every morning!

How was everyones weekends? We are all another week closer to being married! ?

I'm really chuffed with my cake, I've ordered a tower which will have 40 cupcakes (iced to look like ivory roses) and a 8 inch round chocolate cake (iced with vanilla butter cream) at the top. Now here's where people will probably think I'm weird ... our cake topper is going to be Batman related as that was our first date movie, so we are going to have a few Batman logos iced on a few of the cupcakes
I've also booked my make-up trial for Jan 24th. I know this is really early but the lady who will do my make-up is going on maternity leave in the middle of March and won't be back until the middle of September so I don't want to risk waiting.

Have just ordered my veil!! Very excited about this, can't wait to see it

Your makeup trial isnt as early as mine was! I booked two, and had one last June as I wanted to make sure I liked the womens work! I then have another one this June just to make sure she does it the same! Its best to get these things sorted as soon as you can I think!

I will definitely do a flash once they are complete! We just need to finish the directions insert, and check that we have all necessary venue information on an insert and then I just need to stick the bows on them. I am waiting untill the last minute to go those as i dont want them to get squished while they are sitting in a box waiting to be sent out!

Thank you for the money poems, I shall reply to your email tonight as I think we have picked one that you sent through! I have looked at so many they all now look the same and I can't remember what we have chosen!

The exercise thing comes and goes! I tried doing it after work last week, but it was getting in the way of my evening! I like to get home, cook dinner, and then just relax for the whole evening! My OH leaves the house at 6:30 anyway, so it makes sense for me to do it then. I just find it quite tiring becuase I really like my sleep!

I've ordered my dress! (Can't help but flash it cause I'm so excited!) The ladies in the shop were so lovely and they had a range of sizes to try on. Being a little on the short side I've chosen a dress which isn't full length so I don't have to have any alterations. :-)

Hi, and thanks for the welcome.

We are getting married at Llechwen Hall, near Cardiff. They've put together a great package for us which includes the venue (ceremony room and then marquee for the wedding breakfast and evening), canapes, drink package, 3 course wedding breakfast for 50 and evening buffet for 70, plus a DJ/disco. They are also including the bridal suite for the night :-)

We've booked the registrar so will be getting married at 2pm. Waran, my fiancé, has been to his local registry office this morning to register his intent to marry and I have an appointment at my local registry office on Thursday morning.

It's 2nd time round for us both. His son will be best man, and his daughter and her cousin are being the bridesmaids. My 8 year old son will be page boy.

Have decided to go for royal blue for the bridesmaids and because both of us are sci-fi fans, we are planning to have sci-fi ship names as the table names (Serenity, TARDIS, Liberator, Millennium Falcon etc.). Contemplating having wedding daleks as a cake topper too!

At the moment we're thinking of a little boxes of assorted Lego pieces as favours for the men, and bracelet beads for the ladies. Quite cheap to source but a bit different to sugared almonds. Debating what to do for table decorations at the moment.

Researching potential photographers at the moment.

It should be at the shop in about 4 months time so May, which will give me plenty of time to faff over what shoes etc I want!

I agree with booking the entertainment etc. I'm currently in conversation with a classical guitarist to play during the ceremony and wedding breakfast, trying to figure out what pop songs transfer across to solo classical guitar at the moment.

Also going to start thinking about our cake choices this week, OH's cousin is going to make the cake and wants to know our ideas.

HappyOrangeConfetti226 - Yes, a year ago! I went looking becusae I had seen a dress online and needed to see it in real life! We found a shop that stocked it, I tried it on and fell in love. But to be sure, I let the women in the shop dress me in other dresses, i tried on all different styles, colours, veils etc but nothing compared to this one dress. And to this day nothing else has! Obviously Im not looking anymore but so many wedding related links pop up in my news feed on fb I cant help but see them! They are pretty, but not a patch on the one I have chosen! Hopefully it will arrive in the shop in March!

We are looking at sorting our cake this week. We are going to a local wedding fayre this weekend, and hopefully will be able to secure ourselves a cake maker!

Sparklybear – How was your weekend? I am now obsessed with say yes to the dress. I saw an episode on Friday night where the mum and family were horrible to the bride!! Really felt so bad for her!! Couldn’t believe what was coming out of their mouths!

I also think I have found somewhere that will do our invites and stuff, just waiting on the quote for the inserts from h2b internal printers J Fingers crossed its cheaper than the last time we looked, just have to work on the final numbers. I know all our day people but not the evening people!

What is everyone doing regarding people who say they can’t make it? Do you guys have a reserve list? I feel mean having one but worried we won’t fill the numbers for the evening part as I know Theres certainly a few people that won’t be able to make it – they live abroad and are currently getting married in June so probably can’t afford to come over.

Sparkly Bear - I am quite excited today about everything that's going on, have been bombarding my MOH with pics!
I've ordered my veil online http://www.theweddingveilshop.co.uk and it should arrive in 2-3 weeks. I've opted for an ivory waist length veil with crystals and diamantés scattered over it and edged with rhinestones.
I know the lady that's making my cakes really well and her cakes are always yummy ? Her face was a picture when I said we wanted to incorporate Batman thou! We're having vanilla cupcakes as we felt it best to offer people a choice as I know not everyone likes chocolate.
Fingers crossed you'll find your cake maker at the wedding fayre...
I feel much better about having my trial in January now, I just didn't want to have a trial after she came back from maternity leave and only have 2 weeks to find a replacement if I hate what she does. Probably panicking over nothing as she's been my beauty therapist for 5-ish years now and I've never had an issue with her.
Can't wait to see your invites now, bet they look amazing glad to hear the money poems helped, I know what you mean about looking at so many they all blur together as that happened to me as well.

I'm having a reserve list, it's mainly family members that I don't see often but that I get on well with. I figured if someone can't make it I'd "upgrade" a family member to the whole day, as I'm a bit gutted that I can't invite the whole lot of them in the first place.

So Hooked!! I made h2b watch one and he was so confused on what was actually going on. I found my gown. I’m a bit confused because I love my dress but can’t say I got emotional like them and now I’m wondering if it’s wrong that I didn’t? But everyone on the show seemed pretty emotional anyway.

That’s what I’m thinking, just having a backup list to all the main day and night people! Making h2b to go through all of his as he has more spaces then I expected him to have.

Thats my plan! Want to try and nail everything down, mainly a wedding time so we can start designing the invites!!
