Currently inbound to Belfast Docks... Lots of big, tall sailing ships.

I think I'll head down to the loughshore with the 300mm. Nice to get them with the sails up.

Also a grey funnel line 'something or other'headed this way, just passing abeam Larne, suspect HMS Bangor. *yawn*

Tis a nice night for photies though!!

Me neither. Or remembering the scene in which James' first wife died by choking on a chicken bone - my God, that scene haunted me as a child.

    I ❤️ big sailing ships.

We (Belfast) are getting the proper Tall Ships Race again next year, a veritable orgy of beer, photography and lerning to say alsorts of 'sailor' things in a variety of languages.

One of the best weekends of my life was the Belfast Maritime Festival two years ago, thanks largely to The Sabrejets and the crew of FGS Brandenburg.... I believe it may also have been one of the final nails in the coffin of myself and the former Madame ONE.... But woorth every minute.

I was ve-ry young - about 7 when I saw that - hence the haunting. They should have government health warnings when people are about to choke to death on chicken bones during primetime TV.

? I too was very young and only got to see it when I was off school ill. I don't remember much of the details of the episodes (the only things that really stick in my mind are sideburns) but I will always link it with Crown Court which always seemed to be on the telly when I was off school too.

I remember the music to that as well ?

The Sullivans!!! slowest TV series ever, Made WWII last about 15 years.

I swear a guy asked for a cup of tea when I was off school for Easter and got it when I was off for half term......

Oh. I just looked up Crown Court on Youtube and although I remember that, it's not the one I was thinking of.

Anyone remember a programme on during the day in the 70s that had quite distinctive music and I'm sure it started off with a judge hammering his hammer (whatever they're called)

Didn't crown Court alternate with General Hospital?
