Oil free mascara?

50's pin up bride, 30 May, 2012 at 21:23 Posted on Planning 0 2

So, after deciding to buy Max Factor's false lash effect mascara (thanks to many recommendations on here) I've decided to have lash extensions (if you can't splash out on unecessary extravagances for your wedding day, when can you?!) so I will need an oil-free mascara. Has anyone got any recommendations?

I think that all normal mascara's are water-based. And the waterproof ones are oil-based.

So any 'normal' one willbe fine. You probably won't need mascara on your top lashes, so any mascara will be ok for your bottom ones.

When I had mine in the salon recommended one of the boots ones think it was their au natural stuff apparently it's really cheap but in all honesty you probably won't need any on your top lashes.

Clinique do a wash off mascara that's for sensitive eyes which is nice to wear but not particularly dark. If you have blonde eyelashes, as I do, even the blackest black is only just noticeable but would be OK if you had black eyelashes.

I've used Maybelline Great Lash for a good few years in the pink and green tube which is also wash off. I hate waterproof mascara personally as it's a pig to get off even with eye make up remover so I'm always on the search of a good one that is the wash off variety! I will be watching this post for some recommendations!
