    Hi Julia,

Do you mean I don't have to have anything for civil or I don't have to have any one in particular?

    xx

I, like you, am having a civil ceremony & I was going to make an Order of ceremony, was also thinking of having an Order of the day & including all details in it of the whole day rather than just the ceremony but I'm not organised to have started that yet!!!

I've been to a couple of civil ceremonies this year and neither of them had an order of service. I'm going to be having an order of the day too.

Actually the wedding I went to last weekend didn't have anything but I want everyone to sing a few songs (if we ever decide on them) so we need to have something with the words in it!

For a civil do i think i would call it an "Order of Ceremony" or an "Order of the Day". Something like that. Service implies church to me.

We, too, are having an Order of the day - we received a sample from our stationery suppliers and I loved the idea, as they even had the DJ's name, stuff like the menu on it (saves printing separate menus) etc...

Order of day might sound better and put at the back details of the day

ie 2pm canape and cocktail hour

    3pm meal

    5pm speaches

    7pm disco and dancing

    8pm buffet

    etc
