Ordering Wedding Dresses from China...

25 of April of 2015 at 22:23 Posted on Planning 0 7

I have come across the following website, http://www.aislestyle.co.uk where they sell literally thousands of wedding dresses. I have had trouble finding the right dress for me but there is one on that sight I have fallen in love with and it's only £190. (My next choice being a Reem Acra dress for £6,000!).

Obviously ordering from China you shouldn't expect the same quality as in the bridal shops but am just wondering whether to go for it or not? Have not seen a bad word about AisleStyle (aka sweetywedding) on the WWW however having looked at some of the amazing reviews, I am wondering how genuine they are...

I have just come across the review below which features on 3 different websites for 3 different dresses, what do you think?;

  • It is a perfect wedding dress for a perfect price. My family loved it so much.

    The Facebook page 'knock off nightmares' has that website in their known knock off website list so they must have heard bad things about it. Maybe look at a few pages like that about bad wedding dress websites to see if it features on any more. I wouldn't personally risk it just because iv seen it listed as a bad site there

    If your kind a budget and who isn't 190 is a lot of money towards a high street stores dress which you know the quality of before it arrives. Debenhams bridal have a sale on and bhs have tons of gorgeous ones

    Good advice from the other girls. The pictures are taken from the designers and then the websites try to recreate them, from what I've seen they don't do a great job. As mentioned, debenhams and bhs are great, you can return them if they're not right, and debenhams has 20% off a lot of theirs this weekend, take a look, they're gorgeous and a lot are under £200

    Bhs looks like they're around that price too

    And there's monsoon too, bit more expensive

    I'd say avoid. During my visit to a bridal shop the lady told me off a girl who was due in after me having bought a china dress and received a disaster, about 20 mins later she got a call from another girl in tears in the same situation. 2 in a matter of days in a small town says it all. Not worth the risk in my opinion x

    Don't do it. My friend bought one for £90 from China. £90 is still a lot of money to waste. It turnt up and even though she had given the shop her measurements it still didn't fit correctly. The beading was awfully cheap and not nice at all. The lace up back was so weak, that it couldn't even be done up correctly. The lace was very cheapy looking, I wouldn't wear it or risk it!
