Outside Catering Venue Struggle in Greater Manchester

MrsWilding2B, 4 January, 2015 at 11:12 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi everyone,

This is my first post so I'm sorry if this has already been asked,

I'm struggling to find a venue in Greater Manchester that allows outside catering and doesn't cost me an arm & a leg.

My Father works for a banqueting company who I want to do my catering but all the nice venues seem to be costing around £8k

Does anyone know of any cheap venues that allow outside catering that I would be able to use?

I have approximately 100 guests for the breakfast.

Thank you in advance.

No idea on cost but Abbeywood estate, delamere (cheshire) is self-catering?

The court house at Worsley is self catering too and very reasonable. http://www.salford.gov.uk/worsleycourthouse.htm

Abbeywood were a little expensive and Worsley court won't allow outside catering on a Saturday apparently. Don't know why considering they allow it sun - fri but I think the guy was just in an awkward mood when he emailed me back.

    Thank you though x

I can't help on venues, but I know some places will let you use outside caterers if you pay an extra charge, even if they don't state it and give you their preferred caterer list straight off the bat, it's worth asking.

You could try the Halle St Peters? It is stunning, unsure about the cost.

Have you tried Hilltop country house? I think all catering is brought in there, so there hopefully is no reason to force you to take an in-house caterer. I don't think they are cheap though.
