PALE SKINNED BRIDES

wendy26, 19 February, 2009 at 12:37 Posted on Planning 0 10

I am very pale skinned and was looking for something that will make my skin look a bit "brighter" on my big day,

I dont want to wear an instant tan that will ruin my day and I am also allergic to any tans that come out overnight and

I dont want to be looking all patchy on my honeymoon. If anyone can give me any suggestions I would be very

gratefull

thank you

Be pale be proud!! Smiley smile

I am very pale and though I often use Doves mosituriser which gives a bit of a glow I am certainly not one for tanning on sunbeds etc. Other than exfoliating and all that I can give much of a suggestion unless you get shimmer powder or shimmery moituriser?? I got some pale shimmer powder for my xmas from superdrug, havent tried it out yet. Its not bronzing powder, its just shimmery....

Would it be worth going on a sunbed just to get a bit of a glow...but not too much as you might look like you've had a hoilday without you fiance ?. Or what about using some bronzing balls on your face/arms/shoulders instead of blusher?

I'm pale too and one of my pet hates is brides who make themselves look a bit orange on the day! (Absolutely no offence to anyone!)

My favourite product which gives a shimmer and a glow is Nuxe Huile Prodigeuse:

This is a dry oil with shimmer. Shake the bottle and rub on a small amount all over. You end up smelling lovely with just the barest hint of colour!

My sister is the palest girl in Ireland. She used a clarins moisturiser that gradually built up a really natural looking glow over a week.

I'm thinking of having 4 sunbed sessions. Just enough so I don't look too pasty.

I am going to try and get on the sunbed a few times a couple of weeks before the wedding, also, it will give me a base coat for the honeymoon

Im pale too, but i agreee with Ali, someone asked me if i would be getting a full on fake tan done for the wedding, but id never do this usually anyway! i still want to look like me on the day and I dont really mind being pale!

I have used the dove body glow before and thats good, also Simple do one which is good for sensitive skin.

    xx

I did sunbeds. I don't agree with them normally, but I figured that it wouldn't do too much harm just in the run up to the wedding. Also, I have some skin problems on my arms and UV light sorts it out. I had two sessions a week for six weeks in the run up to the wedding and this is what I looked like on the day (after make-up):

As you can see, still pretty pale! ?

I'm really pale too, damn those goth days when i was younger lol! I'm definitely not getting a spray tan because i'll look really silly and it will probably go wrong anyway and i'll look all blotchy! But i have been looking at bronzing/shimmer powders to put on my shoulders and around the bust line to make me look a little more alive!!!

If anybody finds a good alternative to sunbeds and spray tans for pale girls, please let me know so i don't look like a zombie on my big day! ?

I agree with Mel. I'm probably going to have a few sunbeds beforehand, just to take the blueness from my skin! I don't want to use fake tan products as they can look too orangey in pics.

I went pale and proud of it!! I only look stupidly pale in one picture where I'm stood next to my mum (very tanned as she works outside in spain!) so the photographer just made that one black and white. I wouldn't wear fake tan any other time and I wanted to look like me for our wedding day!

I was so worried about looking stupid next to my sister, who was my Maid of Honour. I look ill when put next to her! This is us on my hen night, four weeks in to my tanning routine. Please don't laugh at my stupid drunken facial impression and our awful drunken "dancing"!!
